- Nio has their 2023 #nioday event ins December 2023. They revealed the #nioet9 and LOT of other technological details. They are ahead of $TESLA in terms of technology, nut on thing ice financially.

💯 but I trust Wallstreet/TeslaFanBoys/TheWest will down play it. Don’t forget how the western mainstream media ignored the 1044km/650miles on a single charge tested driven by William Li the CEO himself, imagine for a second Musk did that himself, I bet the share price will see a $50 spike in one day. NIO time is coming when the shorts are gonna cry. IMO

For a car company that is so young... it's just a matter of time before they overtake Tesla in tech. They have the advantage of having cheaper labour cost for trained personnel to do R&D in China though.
Not cheaper labour just that research infrastructure is far better.
It's known that NIO has two sub-brands that are developed and to be launched soon. Codenamed:
1. ALPS...28k to 42k being released know Q1 24 in China with NT3.0 platform
2. FIREFLY....Q3 24 for the EU market. Even cheaper than ALPS.
They are established as tech leaders and dominate the premium market and now turning their focus to lower price point sub-brands in 2024.....ALL OF WHICH will still enable swappable batteries or fast charge.

I don't get why some people pronounce "yuan" like korean "won". The "y" ain't silent...
Because they don’t know your Han language. Why do Hans mispronounce so many English words.

It would make more sense for someone who doesn't know English to make this mistake... grab any 10 year old American child and they would pronounce "yuan" correctly in the American pronunciation; in case you don't get it, the American pronunciation is different from the Mandarin pronunciation and in the American pronunciation the "y" is not silent, why the eff would it be

I hear many youtubers pronounce it "won" like korean "won" or "yen" like japanese "yen"; neither makes sense given the spelling "yuan"; but at least "yen" makes sense if they're used to hearing about "yen" in association with the symbol ¥ which is of course the same for "yuan" since they both start with "y". but 'won" wtf, how, how

Impressive vehicle but Americans may not see any Nio’s in the states for some time, if ever… there is too much china paranoia. And the American Automobile industry will not adapt and invest in battery swap tech they are too cheap and focused on eye candy features to draw customers in and take there money giving them inferior products.
You are right about lots of anti China sentiment. The US government has a Chinese financial containment strategy and an anti China house commitee set up now in the US government. So when the media is mostly controlled by the deep state... You think that the media on China would be anything but a reflection of it's current policies?? I seriously doubt it.. The US can't compete in EV'S with the Chinese EV companies.. Tesla doesn't innovate fast enough in China & has to resort to price cuts always to keep deliveries up.. If they didn't they would eventually loose too much market share..
Great point. It feels like American EV makers are the ones making inferior cars. Again western propaganda is all we do to beat down china and other foreign competitors. The propaganda is not sustainable for too long. IMO

As a long-term investor, I just have a one question, in a climate where we need less expensive cars why is Nio putting out cars that look like the mediocre selling et7 and et5???? yes, I understand the technology is advancing, but the look of the vehicle is just not such a game changer

They are trying to sell an expensive sedan like Lucid sedans. Too expensive. Low volume seller.

That's the boring part. Worse is when this is supposed to be the flagship. And also worse is this ET is like an EC because it is neither here or there in the lineup. Personally, I will take YangWang's upcoming U6 anytime over this.

Not expensive for the UAE boy. I guess the car was launched for them, hence the 2025 delivery date to allow for UAE penetration.
