Jacob, thank you for showing us all these interesting places. We would probably never know about most of these places without you. Most of us would probably never have the chance to visit them either. 😊
We thoroughly enjoy the early videos where you just drive upon some cinder block building covered in ivy and kudzu, or some rotting single wide on the side of a creek... All of those are still interesting and viable content to us! We watch daily on my husband's account and will continue. Keep on, it's fun!
We love you! Just unplug it if you aren't sure... I don't use it as an alarm clock either but I like the clock at night... but i agree that is not nice to leave an alarm on for the next guest. My grandparents would still use it instead of their phone but certainly you are right MOST people don't use it. I do like the wake up call too. :) Have an amazing day! Thank you for all of your hard work and taking us on adventures with you! I am glad you read the comments :)
I remember all the vlogs you used to do in regards to abandoned homes. I never realized how much this channel has evolved, but I can tell you I've enjoyed the journey!! I've been watching your vlog for 9 years now!
I like using a clock on my nightstand just for when I wake up at night and don't want to look at my phone. I remember your older vids when you'd go live while exploring the abandoned places, and once you accidentally came across something pornographic. Lol Awesome old cemetery. I loved the story. ❤
How tragic about the tunnel collapse. That would be a horrible way to go, some men might have survived and were waiting for someone to rescue them but no one came. 😭.
Me too, and y'know what? I just commented elsewhere about how much I enjoy all the variety that Jacob shows us. That being said, I love his standard schtick as well. As in, "There's a photo prop. Must get a selfie in it, no matter what!" And the Kewpie nemeses, Zoltar, Mold-A-Ramas and necessary commentary about what a shark's eyes look like. I find the presence of the standard stuff comforting.
I think my favorite kind of abandoned videos for you are combining the abandoned and the roadside attractions and going to see abandoned roadside attractions, i.e. abandoned theme parks, such as the Niagara Falls abandoned theme park you visited a few months back.
Although I don't mind the odd abandoned building, I would much rather museums, roadside attractions, waxworks and of course haunts. What I like about your channel, have been a subscriber since the suitcase intro, is there is a variety. Its not just Disney, its lots of things. Other channels seem to just do Disney parks which for me gets a little boring, don't mind the odd few sprinkled in amongst the rest of the content.
I hope you're doing OK Jacob. Last couple of videos you seemed a bit down. My father in law and I used to watch your videos until he passed away and now I watch with my wife and her little sister, that we now have guardianship over. We're moving to Springfield IL. from AZ in a few months and your series on rt 66 was awesome cos we're taking that the whole way and it got my little sis excited for the move. Take care of yourself, man, your videos bring so many people joy. They should bring you joy as well. I know it's not always fun and easy being on the road all the time, so above all else, thank you.
Great to see South of the Border again, but sorry to see it look like its fallen into more disarray. It was a much different world when I'd visit when I was a kid.
I love how jacob taking care of clark 😂❤. Anyway i always love abandoned video, it just the crocs and not wearing mask for me. Love you and stay safe 🤗
From the Virginia Vampire, to a Whirlygig and a park of Whirligigs, what an interesting trip you have been on! Hope you get a good night's sleep with no crazy alarm waking you up!
I remember the abandoned videos. My husband and I always crack up about the time that crazy lady that yelled at you at the clearly abandoned yard sale😂
Love, love, love the stories ! Everyday I go on my adventures through you. I get to go to Disney World soon and love when I see your shows before then. Your fellow Hoosier..
A nice clock with an illuminated dial is a courtesy item in hotels. Do I really want to dig out my phone in the middle of the night or when I wake up in the early morning just to see what time it is? If you don't like the clock, disable it. Unplug it. Put it in a drawer. Just don't campaign to take it away from me.
Your so right a lot has changed !!! You have always been important to us all.... But now even more so you are now a major star and have become very important to so many people...Also on the flip side I am not sure CROCS where ever tested for hyperdermic needle toughness.... We will have to get you Insured and the Crocs!!!!!!! XXXX
If you think that alarm is loud, I once stayed at a hotel in London England that had an odd wake-up call system a device in the wall between beds. It was so loud my father ended up falling on the floor.
I like to look over to see the time in the middle of the night on a clock. But I'm old (51). I agree I would use my phone as an alarm instead. My mom in her 70's would use the alarm clock though. A good reminder for me though to make sure the alarm is off on the hotel clock. Thanks
Loved the bit on the Virginia vampire the whole video. It's really cool you do a great job doing videos. So I'm not note take care of my friend and safe Travels my friend.
I am pretty much your exact age. I lived in SC my entire life until a year and a half ago. I had some bad experiences and dunno if or when I will be back. South of the Border was the very last thing I saw as I left SC.
Hi Jacob, Sorry, but I just don't go in for abandoned houses. Something like an abandoned amusement park or other attraction occasionally is OK. But Baltimore has some many beautiful places like the Inner Harbor, would have preferred too see place worth visiting. Thanks.
I love that videos vary on your channel. And things that I thought I wouldnt be interested in actually become some of my favorite videos. I think thats what makes your channel Great. Just vary of things that anyone can like.
I'm absolutely loving the content you've been putting out recently, great stuff. The first time I went to whirligig park it totally blew my mind. SOB is one of my favorite places on earth. I try to stay the night there a few times a year
I felt the visit to see Punxsutawney Phil was a rousing success. In that vein, how about a visit to Chincoteague Island in July for the Pony Penning festival? I researched it a little bit. Several people said that it was a challenge to get a good vantage point for viewing the action. Perhaps Jacob could call ahead and arrange for some VIP privileges?
Thats was what I was thinking when you were in a bad part of baltimore in an abandoned building is that you were fine. I was a little more concerned about your location and shoe choice then anything else but you had the buddy system which is safer anyways and you were with Dan. If I had to pick anyone to show me the abandoned parts of baltimore it would be him. He IS an expert with that entire area and an expert with abandoned places period. He's been doing it for years. Oh and both abandoned places and roadside attractions are interesting to me I think they're both entertaining so whatever you want to do.🙂
Your abandoned videos were a bit stressful as I worried you would go through the steps or floors, and to me the houses are depressing as I thought about the people that lived there and now it is left to rot. I enjoyed the whirligigs, and like the variety of places you visit. Looking forward to the Florida videos!
That alarm clock thing is most definitely 😳"alarming"🫨 & the struggle trying to turn it off most definitely does not help the situation🤭🤣 Happened to me & my mom... once we woke up my mother called the front desk & let them know what happened & they were very apologetic & gave us a later check out...
Always enjoy your videos! When I stay in a hotel I never use their alarm clock I either get a wakeup call from the front desk or use the alarm on my cell phone. But at home I have an alarm clock and I don't use it either I use my cell phone alarm. Alram clocks are annoying that's for sure! I remember when you use to do the abandon buildings videos! I'm a long-time subscriber. Keep up the amazing work and be safe on your travels.
Oh my gosh, please make a note to check the alarm clock in every single hotel room! You can’t rely on people turning them off apparently. I definitely would not think to check that when I got into the room, but it seems like we need to! And I saw a lot of comments from people who loved seeing you meet up with Dan! So I think you should feel good about that choice you made to change things up a bit for that video.
I grew up in Richmond and as a teen my friends and I would party in Hollywood cemetery. I remember getting chased out of there by the cops many a time. Never saw the vampire though.
One thing also to consider is many people more so these days equate the cosmetic appearance of something as safe or high quality. Look to the titanic for how well that can work out for you. The sides were low quality metal with excess sulfur and thus brittle but were they ever painted pretty.
I truly do miss the abandoned exploration videos. Was a simpler time in life for me back then. Wife and I would come home from work and we'd catch some of the abandoned videos before we started working on dinner. Watched you through the whole way basically. I don't remember what my first video was, it was probably the abandoned yard sale - but then just went through the entire backlog after that. I still go back to watch the Teddybear Motel and the abandoned hospital. It was just a nice time when those vids were getting uploaded.
OK- I'm one who LOVES Roadside Attractions and does NOT like abandoned buildings LOL. I did watch the one you recently did as I was curious, but I didn't care for it. I also love your museums, zoos, aquarium visits, but NOT the haunts (unless it's something like Universal or Knotts) as I usually don't like the bad acting LOL (I studied theater in college). BUT overall I LOVE all of your videos, and when I see stuff I don't like, I just choose to not watch it rather than to comment as I know others like it 😀
Jacob, thank you for showing us all these interesting places. We would probably never know about most of these places without you. Most of us would probably never have the chance to visit them either. 😊

Swear Clark was blinking at the start of this vlog!😂❤
We love you! Just unplug it if you aren't sure... I don't use it as an alarm clock either but I like the clock at night... but i agree that is not nice to leave an alarm on for the next guest. My grandparents would still use it instead of their phone but certainly you are right MOST people don't use it. I do like the wake up call too. :) Have an amazing day! Honestly the roadside attractions are better than abandoned places. I like the roller coaster ones the most. Please visit another park soon 😊
Vampires, whirligigs, jackalopes and ten story sombreros. Just another day at the office for Jacob the Carpetbagger.
I remember all the vlogs you used to do in regards to abandoned homes. I never realized how much this channel has evolved, but I can tell you I've enjoyed the journey!! I've been watching your vlog for 9 years now!
Oh man that whirligig sunset would be a cool postcard wink wink
I agree, I really wish South of the border would replace the neons. It would bring it back to life!
I love how the Taxidermist is straight up jamming Goth music 🎶
Unplug them😂amazing tunnel collapse story and vampire. The whirligigs😊 are really cool, so creative.
Yes, Jacob, I hope you can visit the whirligigs again during windy weather. I bet the experience would be altogether different.
it's always a fun time to wake up in the morning to see what jacob has in store for us today
I like using a clock on my nightstand just for when I wake up at night and don't want to look at my phone. I remember your older vids when you'd go live while exploring the abandoned places, and once you accidentally came across something pornographic. Lol Awesome old cemetery. I loved the story. ❤
Once I bought an old 8 millimeter projector at an auction. It had a film reel in it, it was very porno. 😮
How tragic about the tunnel collapse. That would be a horrible way to go, some men might have survived and were waiting for someone to rescue them but no one came. 😭.
Love the blue jackalope 🩵💙🩵

Lmao! The whole time you were in there in your crocs I was like “Jacob, you JUST got shoes for stuff like this”.
Yeah especially with so many needles on the ground. He was lucky they were all capped who knows how infected they are
**SiGH**
IKR?
Awesome video as always Jacob please remember that you got shoes and be safe out there
YES
😂I said that too 😂
Every time I think of your abandoned videos, the abandoned yard sale comes to mind 😂 along with the very upset passerby.
You and Jen should add a new expression of devotion that would make that bridge even more special: Love Crocs!
I think my favorite kind of abandoned videos for you are combining the abandoned and the roadside attractions and going to see abandoned roadside attractions, i.e. abandoned theme parks, such as the Niagara Falls abandoned theme park you visited a few months back.
Great way to end the video at South of the Border Always a classic. Can’t wait for the upcoming adventures
Although I don't mind the odd abandoned building, I would much rather museums, roadside attractions, waxworks and of course haunts. Great comment, and I'm with you. I think that all the variety that Jacob shows us is part of the reason why he's so successful.
Your thumbnail for this video should be a print. Like that's a perfect carpetbagger film poster.
They want to make sure you check out in time 😂
enjoying the trip Jake!
Unplug the Clock!
I hope you're doing OK Jacob. Last couple of videos you seemed a bit down. Really enjoyed the whirygigs. Glad you showed the park at night. Stay safe!
Good morning Jacob 🔆🌞 thanks for sharing this Virginia Vampire and you staying at the South of the Border motel. You take care. 🤓📸
No worries 😉 you did great today
The abandoned yard sale was the first video of yours that I ever watched.
I love how jacob taking care of clark 😂❤. Anyway i always love abandoned video, it just the crocs and not wearing mask for me. Love you and stay safe 🤗
Brought back memories of the mid 90s ,I was the night security at Hollywood cemetery, Strange place, fun job
Thanks for the laugh at the smelly mule
Baboons are bad, but camels are worse...
I just unplug the clocks. Hehe
Glad to see you're still going! Been watching your videos for years. Look forward to more, stay safe
Love, love, love the stories !
Everyday I go on my adventures through you.
I get to go to Disney World soon and love when I see your shows before then.
Your fellow Hoosier..
Good to see you in my area of the world!
A lot of people still use them. Easiest solution is when you see an alarm clock in the room, just turn off the alarm right away.
Your channel taught me the word kudzu back then
A nice clock with an illuminated dial is a courtesy item in hotels. Do I really want to dig out my phone in the middle of the night or when I wake up in the early morning just to see what time it is? Hope to see ya next time you come down to Florida, bud!
Next time you're in Orlando, I recommend 4 Rivers Smokehouse! They currently have a chili-mac that is really good!
Your so right a lot has changed !!! You have always been important to us all.... Carpetbagger in VA! Not to far from my neck of the woods. But, yes, be careful out there Jacob!😊
If you think that alarm is loud, I once stayed at a hotel in London England that had an odd wake-up call system a device in the wall between beds. It was so loud my father ended up falling on the floor.
Get a black light flashlight to see if the sheets are clean. Look under the mattress and check for bedbugs.
Glad they do, I sleep through my phone alarm
I like to look over to see the time in the middle of the night on a clock. But I'm old (51). I agree I would use my phone as an alarm instead. My mom in her 70's would use the alarm clock though. A good reminder for me though to make sure the alarm is off on the hotel clock. Thanks
The ultimate showdown CROCS VS NEEDLE Who would be victorious !!!!!????????🩰🪡🪡🪡🪡📌📌📌📌📌📌
I love watching your videos
The black and white striped lighthouse is the iconic Cape Hatteras Light House located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
I just love this whole video. It's pleasantly weird in all the ways I vibe with. Come to St Pete! There is so much to see!
Loved the bit on the Virginia vampire the whole video. It's really cool you do a great job doing videos. So I'm not note take care of my friend and safe Travels my friend.
I really enjoy watching your TH-cam Channel, Jacob! 👍👍👍👍 I wish you safe travels, Jacob.
Good Morning " YA ALL " Jacob.. !!

Definitely need to get yourself a baboon tooth so you can protect yourself from ever being attacked by one
Thank you Jacob. Another interesting video. Where do you find all these oddities. You must do so much research. Love your channel xx
I'm absolutely loving the content you've been putting out recently, great stuff. The first time I went to whirligig park it totally blew my mind. SOB is one of my favorite places on earth. I try to stay the night there a few times a year
Erie PA has a vampire in one of the city cemetery crypts

I still use an alarm clock that is plugged into the wall, I never use my phone for it, for the time I forget to charge it and it wont go off.
Same. I like the old tech. It's good to not be constantly tied to our phones.
Most hotel clocks are like the one in your video. It has multiple charger outlets for you.
Thats was what I was thinking when you were in a bad part of baltimore in an abandoned building is that you were fine. You were crazy for going to that city. Lol
that nascar track is Dominion Raceway in thronbugh VA
Good Afternoon Jacob 🙋🏾.
Always do a "LMRA" Last Minute Risk Analysis before you do something stupid. Or... Wait.... How was it again?😂. Love your vids❤
Your abandoned videos were a bit stressful as I worried you would go through the steps or floors, and to me the houses are depressing as I thought about the people that lived there and now it is left to rot. You rock Jacob! ✌ ☮ Cant stand alarm clocks .... especially when you didnt set it 😂 remember the Tiger House? 😅 or the yard sale Karen? 😆
Head to the Port Orleans hotel at Disney for the Mardi Gras parade on the river
Always enjoy your videos! When I stay in a hotel I never use their alarm clock I either get a wakeup call from the front desk or use the alarm on my cell phone. I grew up in Richmond and as a teen my friends and I would party in Hollywood cemetery. I remember getting chased out of there by the cops many a time. Never saw the vampire though.
I remember you doing the abandoned years ago
This was so cool!!
The Teddy Bear Motel is the first video of yours l saw. Check those alarm clocks folks!🧸⏰💕
One thing also to consider is many people more so these days equate the cosmetic appearance of something as safe or high quality. Look to the titanic for how well that can work out for you. The sides were low quality metal with excess sulfur and thus brittle but were they ever painted pretty.
I stopped in a hotel near kings cross London and alarm went off at 8am for breakfast I was still drunk from the night before 😂
I just unplug the clocks when we go to most hotels. My mom uses her phone as an alarm clock anyway. Hope you travel down south Jacob! 😊😊
Lol bless your heart ❤️
Jacob I remember when you did the abandoned theme park a nice while back ,thanks for sharing
Hey Clark, I'm your fan!
I truly do miss the abandoned exploration videos. Was a simpler time in life for me back then. It was just a nice time when those vids were getting uploaded.
I liked the abandoned places too, but I thought they were pretty dangerous, I’d never do that.
Mardi Gras is in full swing at Busch Gardens and Universal if you are interested.
They put it there maybe as a back up incase maybe something happens to your phone
Be careful out there
I liked and shared this video 📹 out your welcome Jacob 😊❤
OK- I'm one who LOVES Roadside Attractions and does NOT like abandoned buildings LOL. I did watch the one you recently did as I was curious, but I didn't care for it. Look up The Serpents Pen, write up on Richmond Vampire...........very good read.
We unplug any alarm clock we see !
I set two alarms my cell phone and Google assistant. I always have a back. That is so rude though.
Socks weigh less than locks...so better idea. Imo
