I agree! They’ve done so much for the state of California. Claus came to America with nothing and look what he accomplished is his life and his sons. Hard work pays off.
Considering the achievements of their elders, one would think that the younger generations would keep the history alive by being more involved. However, born into wealth seems to bring on other problems. Adolph, who ran the sugar and other businesses in the Bay Area, nor JD, who was in San Diego, had sons that lived very long and not sure who ran the businesses after they passed on.
I love this family, they went out there and made the best of it. A true American family.
