A laundry tip for you...I have used this tip for about 30 years. I use quilters safety pins and pin our socks before washing then put into dryer, When the dryer is done pull out a sock...you'll have a pair! Kids our own and husband and I still use the pins!

I do the shoe organizer in my coat closet too, it works great for my son. He has gotten into taking he’s shoes off as he comes in and puts them there, it great and his is 21 now and home from college and still does this. 🧡

I like to watch while I'm cleaning my kitchen. Saturday is the day when noone is scheduled to do kitchen chores so its a REALL mess from everyong fending for themselves. The music is really nice for me to get it all done.
Honestly, for the laundry situation I just started putting a basket for each bedroom on the shelf above the washer and dryer. I wash and fold and divide among the baskets and once or twice a week when that basket gets full, I give each person their basket and they put it away. So much less stress and I bought matching baskets so that the laundry area doesn’t look over cluttered while the baskets sit there getting filled up.
I fold my laundry in my bedroom on our bed and typically watch a motivating channel, like yours, or a show while doing it 💛 that is how I make laundry my favorite chore. And then I instantly put the clothes away so they’re not taking up space on my bed! :)
Since our laundry is in the basement I bring the clean clothes up to the living room to fold. As I am watching your video I have a mountain of folded laundry to my right on the sofa and another stack in my grandmother's chair that needs to go back in our camper. Time to reload for our next summer adventure. Wish list item is to have a main floor laundry room. Oh and drawers instead of base cabinets in the kitchen. Now off to make the tres Leche cake. Tiffany we built in 2020 (in Texas) & since the world shut down we had to do a lot remotely (from PA). My one regret is that we didn’t go to the cabinet showroom or maybe I would have thought to do drawers! 🤦🏻♀️ I have them under my cooktop but would have loved them on either side! Those cabinets are SO deep & I can’t reach way back there.
Regarding putting away laundry, when my children were small (school age) that was one of there chores. I'd set it on their bed and they would put it away. I'd have their drawers set up individually for socks, underwear, pajamas, etc. so it made it easy for them to organize.
I used to have an odd sock drawer every couple of weeks I would go through and find the pairs it worked quiet well, thank you for such a relaxing video. I definitely do not miss doing so much laundry any more, my eldest two have moved out and it is me and my hubby with my ten year old and its much more manageble.😂

Yes, the barkeepers friend is awesome! I usually get the soft scrub type in the bottle. Kind of like a wet paste, works great on our tub and tub walls and all kinds of stuff! Great motivation, hope you had a nice getaway with Danny!!
I have three teen boys and they have a common sock drawer in the hallway storage that is in close proximity to their bedrooms. All their socks (matched and stray) go in that drawer. I also have three older independent kids, and after so many years of chasing stray socks in all different sizes, shapes, and colors kept in four different bedrooms, it is nice to finally have one place, one sock size, only a few colors (since they are boys!). I don't want to know how many hours of my life have been spent on matching socks. 😁

I used to be really good about making sure the laundry comes straight out of the dryer, folded and put away. As I've gotten older this is harder for me. One reason is my husband goes to bed much earlier than me and I don't want to disturb his sleep with my late night laundry folding.
Hi Tiffany! I feel ya on the laundry. We have 4 kids and socks are always impossible to match. We usually have family sock parties and I dump a basket of socks in the floor and we match them together. However, my husband just suggest I use lingerie or bra bags. I just ordered some on amazon and can’t wait to try it. Each family member will have their own to put their dirty socks in. Then I’m just going to throw the whole bag in the washer and dryer!

When my oldest child was in the sixth grade, she became very upset one Friday morning because her favorite school logo shirt wasn’t clean! And she blamed me! I told her it was her responsibility to get her clothes in the hamper and if they weren’t, I couldn’t wash them. The shirt was found in the bottom of her closet, dirty. So this is how I solved the laundry problem as a working mom of three kids, all girls: That Friday afternoon I bough five laundry baskets in different colors, one for each of us. That Saturday I took the two oldest girls, then 12 and 8, and taught them how to operate the washer and dryer. Each member of the family was assigned a day to do their laundry, including my husband. Saturday’s were mine, to do sheets and towels. No laundry on Sundays, that was our family day. No one could do their laundry on a day that wasn’t assigned to them without the permission of the person who’s day it was. The older girls complained that I was still doing the youngest one’s laundry. I told them, “She’s 2! She can’t reach the knobs, even standing in a chair! As soon as she’s tall enough to reach them, then she’ll do hers!” We used this method as long as there was a child in the house. All three girls have told me, now that they are grown and have families of their own, how grateful they are that I taught them this lifeskill! This worked well for my family, and made laundry so much simpler for me. Now that it’s just my husband and me, and I’m retired, I do all the laundry, Tuesday’s and Friday’s are my laundry days.

This is how I fold laundry, too! It’s my largest/ always cleanest space to fold laundry. Then I have my kids come help out it all away.
