Borderlands hurts me physically. I *love* Borderlands (the game) so much. The movie was like watching your childhood dog get manually exsanguinated, chopped into pieces, pissed on, and then force fed to you.
My top 5 worst movies and shows that i watched on 2024 is : 5. Madame Web : 2.7/10 4. The Acolyte : 2.6/10 3. Borderlands : 2.5/10 2. Megamind Vs. The Doom Syndicate : 2.1/10 1. Megamind Rules ! : 2.1/10
It was actually pretty decent imo, except they acted like the villain was this dangerous psycho overlord but all he did was ONE thing, then disappears for half the movie, then reappears for ONE scene, then fights Gru, then they become friends, then they sing. It was messy. Not to mention the mega minions are a million dollar idea and they're only in the movie for at least 3 minutes. Honestly it was unnecessary but it had so much potential. All they needed was to hype up the villain, let him use his roaches, make him seem threatening, and don't make Gru, the guy that took down a 500lbs notorious criminal that strapped himself to dynamite, on sharks, into a volcano, look like a scared baby. Honestly they should've had that scene with him doing that, but Gru isn't impressed, then later he invades Gru's home with his roaches, then he almost succeeds in stealing Gru's son in order to intimidate Gru and show him he's his greatest threat, THEN have Gru be worried because of how unpredictable and powerful the villain is, but instead of just willingly hiding, he should want his family to hide as HE fights him but the AVL wants their greatest agent to be safe, THEN the villain and his roaches takeover the AVL, THEN he takes over Gru's neighborhood, THEN Gru figures out how to deal with the roaches, THEN they fight, THEN Gru's son helps him, THEN they do the silly singing thing or whatever because that universe makes 0 sense. Then they make a Despicable Me 5 where all the previous villains team up and fight Gru. They have a billion dollar cinematic universe yet they only wanna do decent minion movies and shitty Gru movies. Imagine this bro, Despicable Me 4 - Gru's greatest threat Minions 3 - Gru finally becomes what he was in Despicable Me 1 Mega Minions - Mega Minions fight some sorta villain El Macho - El Macho origin story Scarlet Overkill - Scarlet and Herb origin story Mega Minions 2 - They fight another threat which leads to Despicable Me 5 Nefario - Dr. Nefario origin story Despicable Me 5 - The final film where all of Gru's villains team up to fight Gru I'm sorry for the long ahh paragraph 💀 It's like they have EVERYTHING to make the highest grossing movie ever, everyone and their mother knows who Gru, Vector, and minions are, everyone goes to see those movies when they come out, every time one of those movies come out it DOMINATES meme culture, if it had a good story in every film, guarantee it would've made more money than Endgame. Crazy how they're too stupid to do anything.
They mixed way too much into one movie. It was almost expected they would go the simple way (like with Toy Story 4 / Kung Fu Panda) of just introducing a side character, moving to another random location, and fighting a villain that just doesn’t have any substance. At least Harold the Purple Crayon is the first movie and a lot can be done with it (don’t think it will be very good either tho).

I’m one of the few people who actually agree with your opinion on voice actors for The Garfield Movie. Nowadays, Hollywood will take any voice actor that was famous in one movie and put it in another movie to bring more hype to a movie. Since Chris Pratt was famous for one movie, Illumination thought that he would also do good in The Garfield Movie cause people will recognize that he was from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The same thing can apply to awkwafina, who’s been a voice actor in a lot of movies because she was famous in one movie. This sadly brings us to our next point. The next point is because movie companies hate bringing back the old stuff or even let new people voice act characters. Instead of bringing back Lorenzo Music to reprise his voice of Garfield or Bill Murray, they went with Chris Pratt cause of the previous reason.

Same my list but I will remove Garfield, Madame Web and Argylle to replace them with Mouse Trap, Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey 2, and Harold and the Purple Crayon.
I would put Madame Web around 20 to 10 as worst movies of 2024.
Garfield is not great and not even good, but just Meh/mediocre.
Argylle for me is good movie, not that great, but still one of my favorite 20 films of 2024, I just don't get it why people hate it🤦♂️🤷♂️

And Argyle honestly is not that bad, I felt people hate it just because the budget is big and some actors didn't appeared that much.
But in the end, the price of paying the money for a ticket of movie with budget of 200 million dollar is the same price to buy a ticket of movie with just 1 million dollar budget.

Despicable me 4 is so good and fun idk what ur saying. I’d rather watch it over kung fu panda 4. One thing this movie did so well was keep the cameos all a secret until the very end and it was so good that it has the greatest ending of any illumination movie. Kung fu panda 4 on the other hand tried to make its cameos fan service and essential to the story to get money so people can watch it for the sake of tai lung Shen and Kai but despicable me 4 kept its villains a surprise which was smart.
I hate godzilla x kong. It is one of the most shameless garbage movies all the time.

I’m one of the few people who actually agree with your opinion on voice actors for The Garfield Movie. Nowadays, Hollywood will take any voice actor that was famous in one movie and put it in another movie to bring more hype to a movie. Since Chris Pratt was famous for one movie, Illumination thought that he would also do good in The Garfield Movie cause people will recognize that he was from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The same thing can apply to awkwafina, who’s been a voice actor in a lot of movies because she was famous in one movie. This sadly brings us to our next point.
The next point is because movie companies hate bringing back the old stuff or even let new people voice act characters. Instead of bringing back Lorenzo Music to reprise his voice of Garfield or Bill Murray, they went with Chris Pratt cause of the previous reason.
Bill murray can't came back for Garfield movie because he has regretted doing that movie during his Zombieland cameo
same what they are doing with Akwafina, and Jack Black after making the voice of Bowser and Peach song, they casted him again for another movie based on video game like Borderland and MineCraft.

Lift isn’t that bad in my opinion but yeah most of the netflix movies don’t deserve the hate.I enjoyed Lift and Atlas and also saying that no one heard of Atlas and Lift is just wrong both of those movie were Number 1 when they released
I forgot what was in Despicable Me 4 though I watched it a few days ago😀 There was so little plot in it compared to other installments in the franchise
The plot was better than Minions and on the same level as Despicable Me 3, just not as good as the first two or Rise of Gru
bro when i heard the line "there right behind me aren't they" in boarderlands i new that it wasn't gonna be worth it like the humor was just recycled from every pg action comedy, like people point out the chemistry between the characters alot but i think the worse thing is the comedy i dont think i heard one joke in this movie that was original or funny

@@Operager GxK was a pretty terrible experience for me, my friend made us get off at the wrong bus stop and we had to run 20 straight minutes carrying snacks drinks etc, and Despicable Me 4 i just thought was painfully unfunny

Kyle it’s the dumbest thing ever, then towards the end of the movie, the mc uses skates on oil to kill off the enemies. It’s so goofy and doesn’t make any sense.
