Vanilla and chocolate are pretty generic flavors that everyone likes, so it makes sense why both of the bakery’s would pick chocolate and vanilla when you didn’t ask for a specific flavor. That 3D cake was gorgeous even though they didn’t exactly follow your design
I really like these cake videos and I dont even like cake, lol. An idea: give your own 1-5 star rating on both cakes; rating the presentation, taste, filling, creativity, price, etc.
Although the 5-star cake looks gorgeous it's not what he wanted. I think that when the costumer takes the initiative to literally draw an image of how the cake should look like, it should look like the image. And the sticks are normal in such a giant cake. It's really massive and in order for it to stay like it should and not to break apart the sticks should be in the cake. They should have even been in the 1-star cake 'cause I can imagine how heavy it is. The 1-star cake wouldn't survive as long as the 5-star cake.
I like this series but you should try to guess which one is the 1-star and which one is the 5-star, and pick your favorite before you know which one is which too.
Never in my life have I heard a TH-camr say “only like and subscribe if you truly like the video” and I think that’s SO awesome and humble ❤️ I have been subscribed for a long time now, but if I wasn’t already I definitely would have after this video
I love that he called the filling in the cake sauce, and the 5 star cake is exactly what he wanted because he didn’t specify and he says that several times
Everyones just upset at the $200 cake because it wasnt accurate to his drawing but honestly I think that was just beautiful and really creative Like he was excited for the flies, nothing will be 100% accurate and some people just have a different idea Id be happy with that cake it looks REALLY cool with the big ol trash can! They stuck with the theme after all!
In this case it might have been good, but what if you order a cake that you actually want to look like the way you described it, and they just change it because they think it will look better that way? In the worst case scenario you could actually return it and demand them to make it again and in the way you wanted it. Unless, of course, you officially allow them to be creative.
Bloody Rose sometimes stuff doesnt be 100% accurate to what you picture reference or no reference Im bad at explaining my thought process but Im the type to literally not give a shit with the “it can be worse” mentality XD
Korynn Dickey still doesn’t make sense.. he wanted a two tier with a small can, if I ordered that and got a big can I’d be like wtf? This isn’t what I asked for
Sarah Rezkalla It really wasn’t what he asked for, but I think they decided that the cake he requested wasn’t worth £200, so they made it worth his money?
Krystal German bruh when you order something as a pastry chef / baker you gotta use the reference pic, not just do anything cause that’s not what they wanted via the picture so?
The amount of cream they put between the 2nd and 3rd layer on the expensive cake is so small and so uneven comparing to the 1st and 2nd layer.Thats honestly embarassing for any bakery
The wooden dowels are used to hold heavy cakes up that have multiple layers so that they don't collapse. As annoying as they may be, they are there so that the cake holds up.
The sticks in the cakes are dowels and they are used so the cakes support it's own weight. If there isnt any dowels, the top tier of the cake would just sink into the bottom tier. My mum is a cake Baker. I know my shit 😂😂😂
The cake needed those sticks(dowels) in order to hold the weight of the layer above. The 1-star cake should have had them as well, which could also be why the chocolate cake looked so dense.
Poor baker. Making the cake unaware that they are about to be compared to a higher rated place. I just imagine someone being proud and then seeing one of these videos
You do understand that without those pegs in the 5 Star cake that the entire cake would collapse into itself. You can’t have a multi tier cake without pegs if you want a fully standing cake
The 5 star one had sticks in it because they're in there to hold up the 2nd tier. The trashcan. The cake would cave in due to the weight of the trashcan if those sticks weren't in it.
Honestly I did notice that the more expensive cakes, that look amazing, perfect, the taste is not that good. It's more tastier to have a cheaper home made cake
kinda hate how he seems to be pushing the whole "expensive is better" idea even after the cake not being anything like his design and tasting bad in his opinion like bro, its not wrong to admit the one star one is better. don't get me wrong the 5 star cake looks good but what's the point in him designing it if they're gonna pretty much completely change it.
J Worth, he liked the taste better not the actually look of the cake. The 5 star cake absolutely is better here so I don’t see how he would be “pushing expensive is better.” Look at it. It’s looks amazing. The one star cake does not look good. So based on looks it loses. He knows nothing about cakes so I don’t know why he does this. Oh yeah... money.
@@Jessa8891 the cake looked good yes but nothing like his original design, like I said what's the point in him designing it if they're just gonna change it. plus its CAKE and the whole point of it is to eat it, it doesn't matter how good it looks if it tastes awful

The 1 star actually stuck to your picture, the 5 star kinda did their own thing lol
The expensive one, yes it's really looks creative, but if your paying $200 you expect moist vanilla cake
Most expensive cakes are dry af and disgusting.
and it’s moldy 13:01
I like this series but you should try to guess which one is the 1-star and which one is the 5-star, and pick your favorite before you know which one is which too.
Never in my life have I heard a TH-camr say “only like and subscribe if you truly like the video” and I think that’s SO awesome and humble ❤️ I have been subscribed for a long time now, but if I wasn’t already I definitely would have after this video
no one:
not a soul:
Raphael: *sees his drawing of a trashcan cake* "to me this looks incredible"
ur homie eve I was actually surprised because it looked so good
I love that he called the filling in the cake sauce, and the 5 star cake is exactly what he wanted because he didn’t specify and he says that several times
"I think the sauce is different in this one right". Frosting. It's called frosting.
Or it can be icing 🙂
@@summertatnellmusic icing. Frosting. It's the same thing. 😂
Everyones just upset at the $200 cake because it wasnt accurate to his drawing but honestly I think that was just beautiful and really creative
Like he was excited for the flies, nothing will be 100% accurate and some people just have a different idea
Id be happy with that cake it looks REALLY cool with the big ol trash can!
Bloody Rose sometimes stuff doesnt be 100% accurate to what you picture reference or no reference
Im bad at explaining my thought process but Im the type to literally not give a shit with the “it can be worse” mentality XD
i am no baker but even i of all people know that you need the sticks in the cake for support and i only know that from nailed it
Maybe he forgot. He is a human after all.
I’m confused why they put a giant trash can on top and didn’t follow colour scheme? That’s not 5 stars LMAOOO
Sarah Rezkalla bc more cake for the customer to eat
Korynn Dickey still doesn’t make sense.. he wanted a two tier with a small can, if I ordered that and got a big can I’d be like wtf? This isn’t what I asked for
Sarah Rezkalla It really wasn’t what he asked for, but I think they decided that the cake he requested wasn’t worth £200, so they made it worth his money?
he didnt ask for anything all he did was drew a pic and that what they had to recreate they had to be creative with it
Krystal German bruh when you order something as a pastry chef / baker you gotta use the reference pic, not just do anything cause that’s not what they wanted via the picture so?
The amount of cream they put between the 2nd and 3rd layer on the expensive cake is so small and so uneven comparing to the 1st and 2nd layer.Thats honestly embarassing for any bakery
True. Layers should be even.
Happy new year everyone who got this in their recommended at the same time!
The sticks are called dowel rods to support the top cake and prevent it from collapsing.
The cake needed those sticks(dowels) in order to hold the weight of the layer above. The 1-star cake should have had them as well, which could also be why the chocolate cake looked so dense.
Yuppers
The one star actually looked what you asked for the 5 star changed it
I like your video! You're honest and don't judge the cake with the number of star..... That's a good quality! I like you!
If the sticks weren't in the 5 star cake, he'd fall over or collapse by weight. So they're there for a reason
Poor baker. Making the cake unaware that they are about to be compared to a higher rated place. I just imagine someone being proud and then seeing one of these videos
The 1 star one probably taste better and they know,, anyway.
Agreed. Imagine putting your heart into something and being super proud of it only to see it dogged in a video seen by thousands.
Madam Jubby that’s what was distributing me the whole video
You do understand that without those pegs in the 5 Star cake that the entire cake would collapse into itself. You can’t have a multi tier cake without pegs if you want a fully standing cake
It’s weird that he’s confirming if it’s the 5 star cake and then goes on saying how amazing it is.
unpopular opinion i think the $50 one was really good especially for its price
As someone who lives in London, you're making it so much easier to find the bakery for my future wedding
The 5 star cake has sticks because they don’t want the top cake to fall
The 5 star one had sticks in it because they're in there to hold up the 2nd tier. The trashcan. The cake would cave in due to the weight of the trashcan if those sticks weren't in it.
Honestly I did notice that the more expensive cakes, that look amazing, perfect, the taste is not that good. It's more tastier to have a cheaper home made cake
i just watched the wedding custom cake and now I'm here🤣 there's a bunch of recent people here tooooo
I did the same.
Omg same xD
kinda hate how he seems to be pushing the whole "expensive is better" idea even after the cake not being anything like his design and tasting bad in his opinion like bro, its not wrong to admit the one star one is better. don't get me wrong the 5 star cake looks good but what's the point in him designing it if they're gonna pretty much completely change it.
emily lucas his wedding cake video he liked the one star better.
Made the same comment in another video where the 1 star cake was better... the reviews need to be blind until the end with a big reveal... sometimes the 1 star 5 star concept gets annoying because of this issue
I freaking LOVED that first one (5*) immediately. It's super aesthetically pleasing.
You should look at the 1 star cake first so you won't be disappointed after seeing the 5 star cake
Yeah he's doing it in a really weird order
It seems like the One Star places do it like the pic, but it might night be as amazing as it should be. The Five Star always does it really nice, but not exactly like the picture. Except for the explosion cake.
I like the 1 star one more. Honestly it was what he drew and even looked better inside
I'd be mad if I paid $200 dollars for a cake that didn't follow my design lol
