- So, I completely forget where I heard this song for the first time... I swear it was in some movie, and I can't for the life of me remember which one! (Although looking through old movie soundtracks gave me some good ideas for future videos lol) I, of course, do NOT own this song :)

70's, 80's and 90's songs are the true legends
This song has such a wistful, sad sound to it. It's like he knows underneath it all but just hasn't admitted it to himself.
Relatable
God these songs are my time machine.
I miss you , family. Things were so much simpler when it was just us back then.
Xoxoxo.
2021. I so love this song... One of the best songs of 90's.😍😍
Agreed
Me too! One of my "1996" songs.
I wish they would make a comeback!

One of the emotional records ever. Those back up vocals at the ends ethereal.
This just brings up the 90’s feels in my heart man! I’m so lucky to have grown up in the 90’s!
My mom says 1995 was a great year for music . Hearing songs like this I can see why
Your mom was right Amber.
Freshman year🥹
But NOW, something much more important is at hand.
Please receive the free gift of grace, by faith, that Jesus IS God the Son, was manifested in flesh, died, was buried, and rose after 3 days, to save us from judgement.
No other way are we saved.
Please heed this.🥹
You must have faith.
1994 actually
Listening this song after 24 years, feeling so old, great tune btw, missing 90's.
Ahhh the 90s again, good kindergarten and 1st grade memories listening to this with my mom
I was a freshman in college 😂
Yeah my mother listen to it and made me. Wow amazing how long its been and music today is awful
i could say 90,s songs will kill this generation lyrics wise and melody genius.
Ofcourse theres no doutb to that
90's music will forever be the best!
I beg to differ 80s music best.
70's, 80's, and 90's are the best. Most 2000's music just isn't as good. All the 2000's alternative bands don't even play instruments, they use tools and machines to synthasize sounds. Good music today is pretty much dead.
I heard this in walmart on their music they play in the store just last night! That opening guitar hooked me to this song back in 95'. Thanks for the post!
July 2024: Who's listening right now?
August 2024 but still
meeeeee
September 2024. Like it's still on the radio
❤️❤️❤️listening JANUARY 1,2019
1995 has it been 23 years already?..great song
Adrian Esquivel I saw them in concert they did this song twice I love this song
It’s still 2017 here so you are about 1 year ahead of us.
I know right!
I am old; confirmed.
A quarter century now...
Takes me back to college ❤
Oddly enough, rediscovering this song early last year made it my de facto theme song for the Pandemic - a comforting beacon of thrilling nostalgia against the uncertainty, disruption, anxiety and frustration of the shutdown and deaths and headlines. Gonna forever associate this song with the new normal that was 2020.
And for those of us reading this - we made it this far! Cheers to a better 2021.
2024 🎉
Great song to play on sunny days, in your car, with the windows down
Yea so cool
dont forget late night drive buddy
Even as an old 60's rock addict I love "power pop" music.
Empire Records was the movie and a great soundtrack. Love this song esp the opening guitar. 90s was the last good decade of music, most everything since is crap.
1995....I would have been 13 or 14 lol. Back when music was GREAT!
ohh you're born 80's too! great!
Yeah. Where the music makes sense.
1985. Our generation is the best.
I was born in 1995 lmaooo but really enjoy this kinda musiccc
Alright?
im so happy that i found this song this day i just hear it once when i was in grade school and now it brings back memories .. thank you
Wonderful work, the lettering. I haven't heard this record since it first came out. I'm going to go listen it again. But yeah, awesome lyric video. Cheers.
Thanks 😊
Going to see them finally this June 2020 at the Greek theater in LA! Let's gooooooooo! Excited AF!😎👍
I luuuuuv this song!!!!!!
:D yay!
Elizabeth Ahrens me too..
Joy Elizabeth
i love you
Great song. So underrated.
Their albums in 92' and 96' defined a generation.....
It was far from being an underrated song my friend. It was #1 in Canada, and had 6 top 10 slots across the US Billboards, and a #3 in Adult Top 40.
0:17 when that one kid in the group needs a comeback but can't think of anything
First time i hear it so nice and relaxing i love old songs love it so much 💕💕🙏

Please feel free to request a song if you'd like. :)
ps Poison, yes, I know.. :D
Matt Jones
thanks man👍
it's from the movie, Empire Records
I met the guy who either wrote or produced or possibly both - Empire Records. And he was having a yard sale with his wife, a very pretty Asian woman. I was there with my wife.
He was living in Venice and was somehow involved with Eckankar!
I told him I was writing screenplays. He was co-writing with some Italian guy who didn't speak English and was trying to get out of it. There was some talk about just giving me the job.
Which would have been cool.
Anyway my wife and I needed a ride to Marina Del Rey. Which they gave us.
But at some point, he just asked us, "Is this a drug deal?"
Which it was!
"That's cool," he said after I told him it was.
He was a cool motherfucker.
I hope it all worked out for him. Him and his pretty wife - and then his Hollywood dreams and his spiritual aspirations!
Anyway I always this song was cool, just like they were! I can listen to it over and over! Just like now!
Everything's cool! Until I hear it from you!

I Love this song so much RIP Doug hoscauns
2021 still listen this song.. 😊😊😊
Je ne comprends pas toutes les paroles en anglais mais j'adore cette chanson et les paroles du refrain ! Pour ma part, tout n'est pas cool...mais si l'homme que j'aime change d'idée, je serai toujours là pour Lui. Suivons notre coeur ❤ !
Adding to my 90's playlist
2021! Heard it in the grocery store had to listen again 😂❤️
Favorite song of 1995!
I don’t wanna take advice from fools....😩😂💯💃
BAM RIGHT IN THE NOSTALGIA CUT!!!!!
The Gin Blossoms... EXTREMELY promising band.... That is, until they threw out the chief songwriter (who wrote "Found out..." and "Jealousy", amongst others) before the release of NME, DIDN'T credit him on the record (though he recorded it), credited his replacement, then quickly realized they couldn't write like him... He (Doug Hopkins) ended up committing suicide. This song (the strongest song since losing DH) was written with Marshall Crenshaw... no wonder it's so good.
The TRUTH has spoken
one of the best comments towards this band. Doug had alot of potential to skyrocket the band to stardom
but like much Rockstars he had many demons. Everytime u sip that bottle it takes a bit out of you. Been clean since 2013
won't ever go back, music is my drug now.
“Threw out”, more like they got tired of him being fucked up from the bottle and decided to cut him. Anybody that has tried to work professionally with a addict can relate to their situation.
@@EmergencyChannel That's NOT what you do to a friend and colleague... if they had tried harder to help him (as opposed to capitalizing on the success he largely built and stripping him of any credit), maybe he'd be alive and they wouldn't be in the "where are they now?" category.
@@soylentkris What makes you think they were friends? I've been in a handful of bands over the years and none of my bandmates were friends, we just worked together.
@@EmergencyChannel He was very close with Bill Leen (bass player, co-founder...) In a lot of ways it was his band, he was the creative force... I too have been in many bands... you can't really create any cohesive content without some mutual respect and/or friendship.
It was a poor, shitty, stupid way to handle the situation and the band certainly suffered for it.
Just a found an old folded paper in a box that was a note i wrote to myself a couple of yrs back and it was (songs i need to listen to) and this was one of them.
Love this song❤️❤️❤️
2022!!
Luv this!!!!!!
It's a nostalgic song. This guy rathers ignore the rumors than buying into other people's stories. I guess he knows there's some truth about the rumors but he hopes she comes clean
I felt like that once. I should have taken the advice
That's some awesome ass song writing!!! They just don't write em like this anymore....
A different and somewhat simpler time, the 90s we're just pretty cool as far as music. Catchy
They played this song in Empire Records movie
The Rex Manning Day Parade brought me here.
I'm as old as this song
Esta canción es una auténtica maravilla
Pump up the volume! And have a bottle of san miguel light beer on a windy afternoon break life is hard
2021 here😁

Nice song.
High school days of mine have a cassette tape recorder and chilling in my little room while doing my school work
Damn the man. Save the empire
Nostalgia😢❤
Co written with the great Marshall Crenshaw
Empire Records is the movie btw (:
Suddenly I'm 15 again !

Empire Records.. 1 of the best 90s movies
It was awesome.
If you guys got an acoustic guitar, tune down to B flat and then play this song... the result is amazing! 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
2021.…..
I always imagine that he heard his girl was cheating on him, stayed calm, and wrote this song. But then it turned out to be true and he had to write Found Out About You.
I agree with you, great song.
Hey there people with great era how you doin right now 2019 ♥

Empire Records brought me here.
Zaldi for president 2024
Listening April 24, 2020
Wow!❤
Their best song
This sounds so much like a Beatles song
That's what makes it amazing.
@@applescruff1969 Exactly
Maybe, but there was Big Star, and Flo and Eddie, Badfinger, so many great power pop music.
Byrds
It's sad I'm now 23 and the newer comments on TH-cam are becoming more and more childish. Miss 2016 when people of the songs generation were commenting
2021 here🤟
