I've been a Collective Soul fan since day one in '94. Here we are half way through 2020, and I still can't figure out for the life of me why this band wasn't more epically huge in the '90's.

For me, Run is timeless - the others are 90s rock...

I finally found this song! I’ve been looking for this song for nearly two years! I first heard this song while I eating at Red Lobster during the summer of 2021. However I didn’t know the name of the song. Until today I was shopping at Publix I heard the song so I used my iPhone to do a song search ,and finally found the song. Truly a wonderful song. 😊

I saw them at a small venue in the early 2000’s, at the Bud Light Backyard near the 18th hole at TPC for the Texas open. Only a few hundred people there, one of the best concerts I’ve been to. It was like gathering of friends more than a concert, great show.

Their music on MTV and in movies, has affected several generations. I honestly think they are better than most of the other bands in the past 30 years. People always remember where they were when they hear a song they love. This song was the song for a generation getting older(baby boomers), and another starting it's future(X). I woke up this morning with this song in my head big time, when I searched to put it into my headphones this came up first -- I'm so glad I went with it. Beautiful VIDEO ! - The only thing I would change is after every other time of the phrase "Have I Got a Long Way to Run" I would follow with an exclamation point instead of question mark. To me it's always been an acknowledgement of the Long-Roads life serves up, then instead of shying away in fear or abandon - EXCLAIM with an optimistic commitment to tackle them head-on, as the best thing you can possibly do. Just my take on this glorious tune! But TY for this Vid as it's such a great compliment to it...

"Uncertainty"... Tiimes are hard. I'm struggling badly. How much longer will this rough period of my life last? Will I get through it soon or do I still, yet, have a long way to go?...Have I STILL got a long way to run?

....you know, I had spent my entire life until now assuming the line was 'A very good long way to run.' And that's not the only mondegreen I'd come away with, ha. I think this was one of those songs I took for granted as a kid and had never thought to look up the lyrics until now. It's still one of my favorites from back then

We spend our youth wishing to be older. By the time we acquire the knowledge we need to survive this life, we're no physically able to do some of the things we should have done all along. Life can be cruel. But listening to great music is something we can always do. I'm proud to be alive, I have many friends that didn't make it this far. We all wish the same thing.

But cheer up, years from now we'll look back and think of ourselves during this time right now as 'relatively' young. It's great to reminisce about the past but don't spend too much time there, you could miss out on what these days might have to offer. You never know what tomorrow will bring. Every season has it's unique miraculous delights!

Back then it was mainstream or not very many other streams or avenues to venture.

One of my favorite groups off all time even though I'm not religious i love Ed Roland his lyrics are very spiritual. Son of a preacher.
