I hope Takara gives us all the other Diaclone versions of this mold so I don’t feel the need to buy Xtransbots. These little guys are fun and look good on the shelf. I know there’s a black one on the way and I think there’s at least 2 more that they can do. Good stuff here!
@SciFiDude79 This isn't RotF/DotM Skids & Mudflap...those are completely different characters. Have you read any of the IDW Transformers comics from like 2005-2019 or so? (Most notably, "Lost Light") That particular Skids (who had a pretty decent Deluxe class figure in the Thrilling 30 stretch of Generations) is loosely based on the Generation 1 Skids, which is what MP53 is. And Crosscut was a silver repaint with a new head, based on the early 80s Diaclone Honda City vehicle. Reboost is the red one, and the upcoming MP54B Burnout - who already has a mainline toy release in the Walmart exclusive Speedia 500 subset of the Legacy line "Diaclone Universe Burnout" - is a black repaint of Skids.
@@DragoonMS they’re talking about the encore two pack which had two copies of the g1 skids mould in decos based on movie skids and mudflap. Try to know more next time you attempt to be a know it all.
The little pilot would be a FLIPPIN INCREDIBLE G.I.Joe size line...maybe a little bigger but just imagine all the in scale to the action figures vehicles !!! A 3 foot aircraft carrier ! Wish a 3rd party would do that like newage/magic square mini Transformers that are AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL detailed sculpting and accessories, articulation...haha totally having a toy "tent" situation just imagining it !
This was a throwback to Takara's peak. It is toon accurate while still making it interesting, and dare I say, realistic. Probably one of their best releases in a long time.
I’m still holding out for the G1 box-art (toy, I guess) version of Skids… man I loved that artwork / figure as a kid, would really love an MP+ iteration And yeah, I too liked the Tyler Durden subliminal reference at the end - Bobby, you devil
I think of G1 Jazz's function of Special Operations being focused on identifying the best ways to interact with humans in order to maximize the Autobots' effectiveness in waging the Great War on Earth. So when Senator Crosscut was described as an ambassador to other lifeforms, I immediately thought he should work closely with Jazz. Perhaps Crosscut was the primary person who secured human cooperation in building Autobot City as a joint endeavor? And maybe he tragically died in the Decepticon siege on the city during the 1986 movie? His Japanese MP Tech Spec says he doesn't use weapons, so he probably shouldn't have been given any weaps in the box, and his toy certainly shouldn't wield any. That's what his bodyguard Road Rage is for. 😉 Reboost's personality reminds me of Streak, in that both are friendly and beloved, but they also both hide sad pasts. But he is a Warrior, so go ahead and arm him to the teeth.
Good review. This set of figures feel like the old school Takara we used to get and not the new super toon accurate versions. This is the pocket that i like the figures to be in. For the pricepoint it's a great value. My only complaint would be why we didn't get the motorcycle and figure with MP Skids? I laughed when you said "no spoilers" Glad you got a chance to review this guy. Looking forward to seeing your review of FT Jive. :)
For reviewers like Mr. Skullface, I would love to see a video on posing Transformers because it's not a gift everyone has yet I see no videos on it...some of us end up with the same poses over & over...I think this would be a valued video, at least I Kno I would value it 😂😂😂

I like this MP mold too… I wonder if they decided to reuse it from Skids because Skids sold well or because Skids didn’t sell well…
Well they were always coming even since skids announcement
