The classic, or first century view seems to better suit God’s character.

In the Mosiac Covenant, sins were covered until Messiah came.
After Messiah rose from the dead, IN THE NEW COVENANT sins are now forgiven if the sinner repents and is baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit.
From a Levite follower of the Jewish Messiah.

I need clarity on the application of the Word Redeemed, or Redemption.... Just a thought.... Doesn't being Redeemed fit less in the Satisfaction Model, because of imputation, rather then the Early Church Model, free from a randsome? Since Redemption is a repurchase, and used in OT in the case of buying or freeing a slave?

Chrs Cr3sp0 many places in the NT, who knows, maybe translations vary, but i have seen απολυτρωσις (apolutrosis) translated as REDEMPTION in Colossians 1:14, Ephesians 4:30, Hebrews 9:15... This is a RANSOM PAYMENT in many nonbiblical greek works. It seems to be related to the verb apoluo (απολυω) translated as LOOSE FROM or DIVORCE, meaning release. This makes sense because Colossians says "we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins".. or stated more literally "we have been set free, the RELEASE of sins." The eord translated as FORGIVENESS literally means RELEASE.

Scroll Publishing, I think you are a little off on what the reason for the Old testament sacrifices were for. The early church believed that old testament sacrifices after the golden calf as BONDAGE God applies to his people for APOSTASY of worshiping the BULL. The same bull that the Egypt worshiped the same BULL and GODS that the REAL GOD rescued them for they went back to and worshiped. God made them sacrifice THEY FALSE GOD OVER AND OVER AS REMINDER of their Apostasy. This is how the Eastern Orthodox which reject PENAL SUB Atonement believe. Its made clear through comparing what I said to what Justin Martyr taught. Propitiation according to the Eastern Orthodox view it as EXPIATION.
