Hannah, thank you so much for another very informative video! I have a question re Placeit. I tried to use Placeit for my Etsy Shop, but then i've noticed that mockup t-shirts on Placeit differ from t-shirts on Etsy. And you used a Placeit t-shirt in your today's video, but is it exactly a Merch By Amazon t-shirt? I'm just scared that the customer is going to say that the mockup t-shirt in my shop and the t-shirt he bought are not the same. I'm not a native English speaker and i hope you understand what i was trying to say:)
This is a great question! I typically try to look for mock-ups that look pretty similar to the ones on either Amazon or Etsy. If you’re selling in Etsy, Placeit actually has shirts labeled under “Bella canvas” and “gilden” as well as some other popular styles. For Amazon, I’ve never had any complaints. I think this is especially because they will see exactly what it looks like on the Amazon site before purchasing.
Hi Hannah, first of all Thank You for these great videos! I tried your strategy and did all the steps you told us. But when it comes to inserting the link to the brand page something‘s going wrong. When I click on my brands name amazon shows me lots of their best selling products, e.g. PlayStation 5 and things like that. Not only are there none of my designs, but there are no t-shirt designs at all. My brand name is quite long and unique as well. Am I missing something? Thank You!
Hmm. I'm not really sure what could be causing the problem in this particular instance. My only suggestions would be to try and copy the link again and add it to your bio or go ahead and change the brand name of your products to something new.
I did as you said in the video but I in the process I created pets store ( merch pets store ) and I'am gonna follow your other steps I just want to ask you what you think about pets as niche is it a good idea ?

The reason evergreen might be better for this social media strategy is you aren’t limited by time! But since you already have the designs, you can totally try this (and we still have a couple months till Halloween).
Absolutely! The brand I’m talking about is not the one you sign up with, but the “brand” field that you have to fill out when you write your title and description for every listing.
Hey Hannah, What a great channel to binge watch! 😁 I'm new to Amazon merch. Is there a way to add an Instagram link to all my products? (I can only seem to link to one product) 🤔 Thank you so much 😊

Great video Hannah! I already have 5 designs (I just started last week), on Merch. Do I need to delete those and then restart with designs related to my niche that I will push to IG? Or can I keep those up and use the five slots left to follow your idea using IG?
If we are just starting out and testing different niches in our store, do you think it would be a good idea to create an Instagram account specifically for a niche that is selling well for our store (I.e., pets)? I have an Etsy store and I want to niche down eventually, but for now I’m still in the testing phase. The niche I’ve been selling in has been fairly consistent, but not enough volume (hence wanting to try social media and not quite ready to niche down). I think with a general store, social media and marketing is going to be tough.
Absolutely! Any time you can validate a niche is good with at least a couple sales, I think that's a great one to pursue. Also, people are crazy about their pets on Etsy! :) My suggestion would be for now to keep your store general, but only market one niche on instagram. Especially if you are linking specific products, people should be able to find them on your shop amongst others. If this niche really takes off, might be worth it to move other listings to a second store.
Great question! I would just create a page with the two shirt designs you have now or that you'll create. You could make 4 or 5 different mockups for the same design on different models using Placeit. On the following days I would just keep creating 2 more designs in that niche and posting mockup photos as soon as they are finished uploading. When I started my page I only had 2 or 3 shirts ready too, but added more throughout the week.
Hey, Hannah - I like your strategy of listing items on Instagram. Do you have a video about doing this for Etsy instead of Amazon - turns out it’s trickier than expected to link the products. Thanks for any help on this. Great channel and super helpful! Best to you 😊
Great question! I typically do look up relevant hashtags to my niche and put those in the first comment of my post, but with how much instagrams algorithm has changed the past few years, I don’t know how much it matters. So, I wouldn’t spend too much time looking for those.
Hannah, sincere questions follow. In this video you mention using your Instagram page's "Brand Name" as your brand in your Amazon MERCH product listing as your brand. I am not yet on MERCH. My understanding is that you can only have one MERCH account. But, I suspect it allows you to use different "brand names" on that single MERCH account. Is that correct? In other words, your new IG page is about DIY, and from this video it sounds to me like you have multiple IG pages, and are selling multiple "brands" on your MERCH account. Is that correct? If so, I would appreciate some tips (in a future video from you) about how to use a single MERCH account to position different "brands" you create or try selling. For example, one brand might be aimed at sports, another at school shirts, another at dog lovers, etc. I assume that big sellers have multiple "brands" they are uploading to a single MERCH account. But I am not sure. If you make the video (or just want to answer here, below), please mention what you think is the best practice. I ask because like many designers, I have multiple ideas for shirt designs, and they are not closely related at all in topic.
This is absolutely a great question! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. You are totally correct. Amazon Merch let’s you put your own brand name in for each product, so you could theoretically have hundreds of brand niches. For each of my Instagram pages I created a unique “brand” that I use. The brand section is right below the title when you upload to merch by Amazon.
@@hannahebeling OK. That confirms my guess. Thanks. I am also aware that on MERCH there are some big brands (POD sellers) that have their own pages or 'store front" pages, where they have a banner at top (their store name, images) and many designs of shirts below. I don't know how one gets to that stage. Perhaps they pay for that page? Or they reach some high tier? Or they buy a lot of advertising on MERCH? I suspect they are big advertisers, since I often see their shirts at the top of any niche page, with "sponsored" listings at the top. One example of many I have seen is a brand called "Crazy Dog Tshirts". If you see their store front pages on MERCH, you will see what I mean. They have many low BSR ranked shirts (I suspect due to constant advertising). So, for that reason I wonder about using the "brand" line on the products. I wonder if it is best to use a single brand name (eg. Crazy Dog) or to use a niche specific name there instead (i.e. using a different brand name for each shirt design I upload on Merch). You may or may not have an answer to this, but I wonder about it. Because there is also some advice from others about "build your brand name" to get more loyal customers etc. And following that logic, it would seem important to always use a single brand name you own/use/promote. I don't have a firm position on this, still thinking about it.
Thank you for these great videos! I have a quick question to ask. Can you have more than one instagram account to promote other offerings? Thank you and have a great day!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. If you have multiple niches you want to promote in Instagram, it would be great to make multiple Instagram pages for each niche, correct? Are you able to make multiple Instagram business accounts? I am not that familiar with Instagram. Bet you need multiple different emails to sign up.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Yes, that’s exactly what I did is created multiple Instagram business accounts. Instagram I think let’s you have a max of 7 accounts logged in at one time and it’s pretty easy to toggle between them once they’re created.
Hannah, sincere questions follow. I am not yet on Instagram (I am on FB). So my question may seem basic to those who are already using Instagram. You suggest opening a new Instagram page/profile (not sure what it is called on IG). Does IG require a different email address for each page/profile? How many such pages/profiles can we have on IG? Can we use the same personal email address for multiple IG pages?
Great question! And, I haven’t tried it myself yet, but I could see this same strategy working really well by creating Facebook niche group pages (like a funny nursing page). Instagram does let you have multiple accounts under one email, but will only let you manage 7 at a time.
Thank you Hannah! Finding you is an answer to prayer!
