Thanks great share. Yeah... sitting in the office trading futures and doing analysis gives the illusion that one knows the market but not quite true indeed
Thanks Ryan. The futures market sounds a good ideal theory for farmers to hedge their price but our poor force in emerging markets would not be able to approach these instruments both by knowledge and their financial condition. How a farmer with 2-3 ha of cultivation can handle all these stuffs ?
Thanks Hoang! It is very tough to hedge directly for a small farmer. Your best options would probably be to either participate in a farmer's coop, or if none are available, you could inquire with the local buying agents if they have any different options for pricing coffee. Many of them offer different types of marketing programs. Good luck!
Ryan that was GREAT education, where can I find coffee sellers in Uganda as I have buys in Kenya & Huston USA that are Will to buy 40000-150000 lbs at a time. This is Robusta coffee, if you can guide me that would be great full. Thanks
@@markcrisp07 hello Mark, the culture/mentally in North America is totally different then in the under developed countries, the buyers in our countries will find their contacts very easily & fast whereby in other countries the buyers & sellers are very laid back. This is the main reason why business in other countries are SLOW GROWTH. Business don’t spend on marketing & are very passive. One has to visit other countries to understand their mentality.
I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 85K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% per year in dividend returns. Any advice?
