I hope that one day you’ll do a full tutorial because for some reason the hair making process is too difficult for me to understand and I havent found that many helpful sources other than videos like yours :’)
oh man this helped me more than the tutorial I was followng ngl btw how do you get the black spikes for the line mesh in edit mode? For me it's always only had the pivot points and it's been a pain to edit and move around thank you!
This is really helpful to watch! :D Also, I am trying to do the UV mapping but the textures won't show up when I am doing it on the hair. I might be missing something but idk
Thank you for making this video, it has been so helpful. Can I ask how do you got so low poly count for the whole mesh? I tried to follow your video to make my own hair and I got to the uv mapping part but the texture looked weird on my mesh...
There are two ways to make sure your poly is reasonable. First is when you preparing your bezier curve (its not possible to explain here, you can try watching my other vid), and second one is by decimating the whole mesh. Decimating is easy but yeah, it will mess up with uv map.
As far as I know, yes it can be use for alpha. I think most of alpha creator use plane instead of bezier curve and on S4S,u need to change the shader that compatible with alpha. Other than that, i think both works pretty similar.
Heyy do you know how i can fix this problem basically when i import the mesh into studio it imports however there is 2 hairs and i did delete it in blender
Hi thanks for the video. But I have a problem. I've put the right cut numbers in my mesh, I imported it to S4S, it does show up but the vert and poly count is 0. When I tested my custom hair on the game, the mesh doesn't show up. Can you explain how to fix this? Thank you! (sorry for my bad English, i'm not a native speaker)
Hi, you have to makesure that you have 3 meshes with 3 different cut. The first hatchop cut is 0000, second hairchop is 0001 and the actual hair is 0002.
Hello, may i ask you, what are you doing after weight transfer? I'm trying to follow you step by step, but at this step after "Set geometry to origin" my hairstyle just moves away from head. Can't understand why, and what for this step is needed?
@@annajidkova1093 ohh at 11.00 im making uv_1 for the hair. I dont know much about uv_1 myself but it helps to avoid clipping whenever sims got their head enlarge something like that. Better google ‘sims 4 uv 1 hair’ if you want more details.
@@megu-megu959 Thanks a lot! I'll try to figure it out. The video is very helpful btw, didn't find any full meshing hairstyle process for sims 4 except your channel, thanks for it!
How did you put the reference photos on the screen? I thought it was part of the program in which you record but since in the second 28 you moved the photos I see that it is another application, p+ or something like that?
Hi there! Can I ask what base/game hair you extracted the textures of? I see a lot of people use the same hair texture when making hairs, but I'm not sure which one in sims 4 studio it is?
Hii, i know this is not a tutorial but i did try to follow the workflow thing and i got to the transfer weight step but it kept saying that "Skipping _ objects it has no vertex" and i don't know how to fix it. Do you have any ideas ?
Alright, to transfer weight, first you have to append any reference hairstyle (usually the one that looks similar to your mesh). Next, change to weight paint mode, click your reference mesh !first! and followed by your mesh. Lastly, transfer weight like usual. Hope it will resolve your issues.
Thank you for helping❤️ i did the transfer weight thing as you said and that worked , but unfortunately i got stuck at uv mapping so i kinda just gave up.
Hello! Sorry to bother you, but for some reason the audio of the video isn't working... I checked my pc and I could hear other videos on Yt, and my volumes are all up... Am I the only one having this issue?

@@megu-megu959 i’m sure he’s talking about the besiar curves menuvers and flexes that you pull to shape your mesh

How do i extract a hair mesh from an existing package
Hey this helped so much I was just wondering how you get the ends of the hair stand to come together I can’t figure it out
For Windows, Alt+S. You can also right-click with the point selected and locate radius.
please how do you get all 24 colours, please tell me you don't have to remake it for each colour
that's a texture thing! you do not have to remake the mesh every time. it's a matter of swapping out textures.

Hiya! Could the methods you're using here also be applied to alpha hairstyles? Or is this mostly for Maxis-match hairstyles?

hi, can you leave me a screenshot of it?

Hi, i think u should recheck your mesh geom. It supposed to have 3 geom; 0000, 0001 and 0002
Hi, I found your video was really helpful. Do you mind sharing the texture for hair ? If not, can you tell me how to find a similar one ? Thank you.
Sure do. S4S> create 3d mesh>part type 'Hair'. The first female hair you see is the texture I've been using to almost all my hairs.
Can I ask you some questions🥺 Can I use blender 2.9+ to mesh the hairs ? I only see people using blender 2.76.
Sure can! Any blender version can be use to mesh the hair.

After the weight transfer, i do vertex painting which is filling the mesh with green color.
@@megu-megu959 Thought it's part of weight transfer. But still, i'm asking about 11.00, what's happening there?

Hi,the software name is Pureref. It is pretty useful and you can get it for free! (Basically just put 0 dollar when checkout).
What blender u use?

@@ditto9194 Ah understandable. This stuff needs mood, time to make and learn, hopefully you’ll able to make your own hair someday. ^^
May I ask how you got such a low poly count?
To lower the poly count, you'll have to decimate your mesh. Or do you mean, how I get roughly 14k poly count for the whole mesh?
