This is the kind of motivational speaker I'd really invest my time in, he doesn't excite the audience with words that would only last for a few days but the how to factor, you want to come out of any speaking event with a strategy on how you can combat similar forces which the speaker himself managed to master. I think motivational speakers should be more educational instead of enlightening. To which Vusi here is best of both.
What organisation holds this competition? I'm a member of Toastmasters International, which is the only organisation that hosts the World Championships in Public Speaking. Are you a member of Toastmasters of the Professional Speakers Association Vusi Thembekwayo?
Rammon Thomas, i respect the Toastmasters but i know you guys are not the ONLY ones holding world public speaking contests. I personally participate in World Universities Debating Championships, its University students organizing themselves and we hold public speaking championships too. Other organizations have public speaking championships too, mybe not as reputable as you guys but it is not fair to say you are the only ones
