I watch every single video and I enjoy every minute but sometimes especially this video it just takes me a back at how large your family operation is. To need that much equipment to cover your land is mind blowing.
I don't know anyone with less than 4 Class 9 Combines + support equipment.
Family around when Brian takes to the air ... I'm not crying, you're crying
Always a blast to see the spray plane. Great video Mike
1:35 the plane sounds amazing
Cessna build three different 188 spray planes. The AG Wagon, AG Truck and the AG Husky.😀👍
Clenched pretty hard when he came down after those trees, yeesh!😂
Big sky !
Love the air tractor!
Hello from Moosomin, Saskatchewan, Canada great videos thanks for sharing with all of us 😊
I believe that plane is an Air Tractor. Lots of them down here in Louisiana!
My neighbor built a few 176ft booms, for the biggest farmers here in Central Minnesota. Those same farmers trade the power unit off, but keep the booms. The biggest Case IH sprayer is the only one built heavy enough to handle weight of the boom. If I remember correctly, it was 6 or 8 passes to a square 40.
A company in Michigan is working with Large Drones for spraying. Pretty interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing the land and air spray attack.
Such an awesome video! Thanks Mike!
Mike, it would be interesting to know a cost analysis of air vs ground per acre. With the cost of a ground sprayer now equal or north of that Air Tractor I’d imagine the cost difference has closed substantially. Also wondering if your ground sprayer can share coverage maps with the Ag Plane. When will we be seeing the first Drone spraying demonstration and review..
Mike's not gonna play around with Drones. They can't cover enough ground.
It’s going to be a great crop and deserved
I've seen planes spray and the horsepower they have to pull up is incredible. I've seen helicopters spray also. Craziness
Helicopters spraying grapes on steep hills is a beautiful sight. I have seen it a lot next to the Moselle river in Germany. I always throttle down a bit when going upriver to enjoy the spraying.
When they turn with the helis though, boy that looks like a ride for your stomach.
Best feeling ever i miss being able to go for a ride when they did our farm when i was a teenager @bzs187
The Ka-26 is the king of the fields, one of the things the Soviets did right was helicopters and its one of the best ever made.
Wouldn't that be something, DEF on a plane! Cruising through the air, and you suddenly get an engine derate due to a DEF system issue.
Why do you think military vehicles don’t have DEF on them. 😂
@@crandonborth
Yep.
Also a bit of "rules for thee, but not for me," thrown in, IMO.
I have DEF on my ship. If there is a malfunction the engine just keeps running. DEF happens after the engine in the exhaust so reduced power is all programming.
For safety reasons our engine is programmed to never stop because of a alarm. Even without oil pressure the engine will run as long as it can, it’s up to the captain to take action. And DEF is never a priority. I don’t see any safety reason a plane can’t have DEF.
A particle filter is a whole different story, those destroy engines when clogged.
It’s more common to hit things and crash than have mechanical problems. Power poles, trees, ground equipment. We’ve had it happen.
@@autobootpiloot This is also turbine engine like a jet has… you can’t have exhaust fluid as it goes straight out the side with no emissions.
Looks like a lot of GREEN!! What a blessing
Come on Brian... no loop-de-loop over the trees?🤣🤣
You need the air tractor hooked up to the John Deere guidance, then you know where he was !
They call it the operation center
impressive flying skills
Thank you Brian ❤
It's a 2009 Air Tractor AT-402B per the registration number. Mitchell Air Ltd.
They could hammer down if they had the 802.
Love watching the spray planes! I always thought they did an awesome job for fungicides and insecticides but I seemed to get better herbicide activity from ground rigs. Maybe that’s just me🤷♂️
That looks like an Air Tractor. We used to have a few buzzing our fields here. Some time ago, they banned them here within a certain distance to houses. That's really lame considering the super fine spray from the land unit can easily travel 1/2 mile or more with the wind. It's killed our garden more than once. The Air Tractor pilots around here are as talented and skilled as I've ever seen in my life. That is not an easy job by any means. Brian's plane seemed like it took up a lotta run way to get off the ground, or maybe it's just the perception I got from the video imagery here Mikey. Thanks for all the great footage laddy.
P51 converted to sprayer would be badass
Brian i my new hero !! What a life
Crop is looking good Mike👍
Mike we need a john deere vs case sprayer review
My cousin on June 20th lost his life around Swan River MB flying his crop spraying plane! Not sure what caused the crash. But he bought to be more efficient on his farm!Rest in peace Melvin!
Hey Mike, been watching your videos for a number of years. Sorry haven’t subscribed. I’ve retired from farming as my children are no longer interested. So have the properties rented out. So yes I’m now one of those landlords but I’m always keen to see what you guys are doing in Canada Have been through that area a number of years ago and was envious of your excellent crops as ours here in the eastern grainbelt of Australia. Certainly don’t yield like yours can so just wanted to send you a note to say thank you for taking the time to do the videos , I most certainly do enjoy watching them, and although I only had half the number of combined and spray rigs etc that you’ve got it is nice to also see a large-scale grain farm and I know too well what it takes to keep it going on a day to day and a year to year basis Especially when you’ve had a couple of bad years, but of course when it’s dry for you. It’s wet for us and things are getting back to normal in 2024 for us so hopefully we both have that average or above average year and although where opposite seasons Our wheat Durum and chickpeas grow in our winter as we only just get down to freezing on six or seven nights throughout winter from planting in may to harvest in November again thank you God bless and wish you all the wealth for this season safe and happy farming for you and your family. Cheers
He was a good friend
Mike , where's ATC, you should be in Tower calling Brian (1:00) , ........" hold short on runway 13 ", when he's on taxiway Q. 😁
In our experience ground units do a much better job without a doubt. Airel spraying definitely has its place though.
awesome video
Your guys operation is dang impressive , Brian's Plane is awesome. I know alot of guys hire a air tractor when it's to wet in the fields. Does Brian do any custom spraying with the olane?
Brian has 3 planes, the 402 Air Tractor, a Cirrus SR22, and a beautiful taildragger ( Cessna ? ), check the last minute of this video from a year ago,
[ Cruising in the Cirrus SR 22 ] , well I think the taildragger is also his plane. 😉
Salut Mike magnifique vidéo et l,avion qui trete et le pluvieux automoteur et le guidage est bien intéressante et bien équipés 😂😮😅😊
Mike you're pretty awesome but Brian is way cooler lol. Can we have a vid of Brian talking about and showing his aircraft?
When you compare the ground rig to the plane, can you see any difference in effectiveness between carrier rates?
Thanks Mike. As always informative and entertaining. Happy belated Canada Day to you.
That plane looks fast. Is it accurate as far as like hitting everything with spray?
I can only speak from my own experience, but we have found that ground rigs get much better coverage compared to a plane, but planes still def do a passable job. That said my observations have been with fungicide in tasseled corn, so could be different results for these guys.
How does mapping work using the sprayer plane?
Does Brian have some sort of mapping so how know's what he has sprayed each pass?
Check one of the 402 videos, this one has a cockpit view of Brians plane, [ Cockpit video of the 402! ] 3 years ago.
Plane means no tracks as well
3:53 hell ya
Hey Mike, Ive got a question. Could you get Brian to give us a tour of the airtractor because i have lots of questions.
That’s what google is for
@@Adam-x4b Does Brian do plane tours on Google?🤣
That plane seems very efficient and fun to fly. I wonder how many gallons of chemical it will carry?
Our neighbor in West Tennessee Scott Rainey crashed his air tractor last weekend
Did he survive ?
Unfortunately he died
morning
Mike do you still have your trident if you do why do not use it that we can see
Hey Mike, what about those drone sprayers that fly by themselves? I guess your fields are too big for them to be efficient?
How is the coverage and overlap compared between the two systems?
Does the spray plane get a different tank mix?
You’ll have to get your mom in one of your videos
How wide does that puppy spray?
👋😊
👍
What would you charge for custom spraying with the plane?
This might be a dumb question, but does driving over the crops to spray kill off the plants? If so, is it a large loss of crop, or not really in the greater scheme of the entire field?
I would think a helicopter would work better as you could almost sprays as if you were a ground unit.
Air Tractor
Dose the plain map sprain on screen. Can see your mapping to know where to spray?
do you know how much money you save on using the plane
Watch this video, Mississippi delta crop duster, John Walton, son of Sam Walton, this was back probably middle 70tys. Sam Walton you know the Walmart guy.
Air plane is an air plane Tractor is a tractor call it what it is
❤ment to say jemmy chemical... is the best machine wash ask George Sanders uk .. mike it's good. Me Dumfries Scotland ❤❤❤
What does Brian use to map where he sprayed with the plane Mike ?
The atv a KFX 700?
How mutch dose it cost tu run sprayer for 1h, and how mutc it cost to run airtractor for 1h??
Brian plane is.....a ukrainin air force missing plane :)
How many gallons of water are you applying?
What happened to the trident???
What’s all that “green” stuff mike???? Lol
Is that a 502 or 802?
1 field is 2,800 acres? That’s enormous amount of land for 1 field!
The largest field I believe is 5600 acres
@@mikelembke5121 Wow I can’t even imagine that here from the Midwest in 🇺🇸
@@marshalloutdoors1791 I can farms in the west are big
Kentucky has fields of 2800 acres
@@mikelembke5121 Yes true.
Do still have the trident sprayer
Yes we do 🙂

How can you make money on chick peas when you have to spray them so much?
If you're not a snake catcher don't mess with them
Oi 👍👍👍👍
but has he ever done an independents day and sprayed the wrong crop?
Piper pawnee plane?
Lots of Air tractors and Thrush up here.
Which model of Air Tractor is that? 502?
402, check the videos on this plane 3 and 4 years ago. 😉
@@ytfan3815 thanks. I'll have to check those videos out
@@g-dawg79
Well Brian has 3 planes, the 402 Air Tractor, a slick Cirrus SR22 ( with parachute 😄) and a beautiful taildragger ( Cessna ?? )
Check last minute of the video from last year [ Cruising in the Cirrus SR 22 ] 😉
Wait till drones are perfected for spraying. The need for million dollar sprayers will go down
Seems inevitable.
Yea and you will need 50 drones to do the same thing… Technology isn’t always better..
@@SirHuddy bigger drones and not necessarily quadcopter type. Maybe larger vtol or plane type. It’s a task they’d be good at.
AirLand Farming
Mike do you guys air tractor for other farmers?
What about the accuracy?....
