violin + modern sonic is such a nice thing, i love it when it comds that i'd have loved that something like this appeared in the og game as the synth was used too much in my tastes wifendksks

This formula reminds me of what nihom falcom sound team jdk does on the ys games, which adds violines to give songs more personality. I love it.

My guess is that the synth was used to represent Eggman's control, like Eggmanland in Unleashed. A neat idea on paper, but in execution... :/

say this individual track sounds so haunting, the violins help it convey it i think! i wasn't much into forces but that track kinda bangs !
Good lord it was the lead synth that was the main problem, I always knew it was a major issue, but to this extent? A simple change in one instrument makes the song much better, with a bit of polish you could probably convince someone that the main version was a prototype, and the violin version was the finished product. Also that Forces Reimagined footage in the background was hilarious, the main game’s level was too short for the level’s song, pfft.
Sounds a bit like a medieval version, kinda like if it were to be in sonic and the black knight lol
