Outstanding interview! I really enjoyed hearing how Mark stared at the markets, how he tested his systems and how this led to success. And the best quote "there is no shortcut to experience" LOVE it!
Not too much expectations with this interview. Turned out however to be one of my Richard Moglen's favourites. "Trading becomes an expression of who we are. Why in some ways this is the ultimate game or sort of bet on yourself: you have to identify what your strengths and weaknesses are and then make some adjustsments."
1. Concern the low risk entry 2. risk manage and take losses as opportunity cost 24:33 no system works all time 1:18:21 well teacher, thanks 1:26:33 small amount of money and little time are unable, no excuse to take too much risk to small account, must manage as same way to big account.
Wow very inspiring. I started trading about a year ago, and quickly leaned on quantitative path. Was able to put together 3 mean reversion strategies but none momentum seemed to work so after research i found marks startegies read both of his books and about to put some capital to a similar approach. Was a bit unsure on what to do. The advise of treating them as employees was on point.
Revenge trading occurs by people who think that trading is like a football match. In other words they think that if they just keep going in harder and harder against their opponents that they will somehow win simply out of a aggression (like a boxer). But in trading there is no opponent, only yourself. So theres no point in fighting yourself.😀
