- Hello, everyone!
I had two reasons why I took this video;
First, I've been a catcher for a local baseball team for quite some time. And I had to retire with a shoulder injury, but I still love baseball very much. The ball in the video is a gift from my first son to me about 10 years ago on Father's Day. Maybe my son, who was 7 years old, knew how much I loved baseball. I needed an exhibition stand to store the precious gift.
Second, I learned unique wood turning skills - split turning (inside out turning) & offset turning (multi axis turning) - from Mark Sfirri through workshops while I was in graduate school. In particular, his offset turning technique of bending the shape of a baseball bat was the most interesting, and I wanted to try it someday.

That's right, Tina. I think I broke my parents' hearts a lot when I was that age. As I get older, I regret what I did back then. Someday, my son will have the same mind as me.
