- Community servers in TF2 are full of bizarre players, but I think that MGE servers take the cake. On paper, MGE servers are a place to practice your 1v1s and improve upon your skill, but in reality, there's some...strange and interesting people that frequent these servers.

In my experience the scariest MGE players to me are those who
- Stays in the MGE server 24/7
- No voice chat, not even a voiceline
- No message
- Always ready and moving
Even though they won't trash talk you for being bad, getting your ass handed to them really breaks your spirit.
It's fear of the unknown.
I remember when I used to play Quake 3 Arenas over a decade ago, an empty server with a player that fights tooth for tooth is really nervewracking, you don't know his emotional state, what he's planning, not even a pfp to judge his general character, just name with ocassional colours added, all you have is to rely on yourself at that point. Something about the eerie maps of quake 3 also likely added to that fear of the unknown, since most of the time you hear ambience and you can't really know from which corridor he's gonna come.

It's a plus when they are the type of players that will stop shooting at you the moment you went AFK
Not only are they serving my ass, they are also kind enough to do it when I'm around
@@user-BBCsonMy friends and I were having fun playing HL2 Deathmatch like 4 weeks ago, and then some guy joined that absolutely dominated us. The only voicelines he would say are "Nice kill" and that's it. When he had to go he said "Alright guys, gtg, was fun playing with y'all"

How to diagnose yourself and find out if you are actually a mge player. Ask yourself this.
1. Do you join any mge server atleast once a day?
2. Have you spent more than 200 hours on mge?
3. Do you have more than 1700 elo?
4. Are your blinds permanently closed?
5. Did you ever shit talk in mge?
If you anwser no to any of these questions then im sorry, you do not qualify as an mge player.

This reminds me of when I used to grind MGE to get better in something like 2014-2015. I was one of those "reflect everything + puff & sting" pyros who would literally go MGE just to practice flare aim and reflects against high level soldiers. A lot of times it was very hard to get a match, but one day this pretty high level soldier joined who played like 8 sets with me in a row, through most of which he stomped me something like 20-9, but I could FEEL getting so much better as I was playing him. He never said anything, I just thanked him and eventually he left, but he seemed happy enough when the matchup got even. My highlander team completely freaked out about how I basically jumped up a division in skill level overnight. I don't remember your name and I don't know how you felt about it dude, but thanks for giving a pyro a genuinely helpful MGE experience.
3:35 Weapon Reskins in TF2 have always seemed like a strange case to me. On one hand if you like how a weapon works but hate how it looks it's nice to have another option to choose from. But on the other hand, reskins usually look like they would function differently from their counterpart. And I've always thought it would be neat if cool looking weapons like the maul had more of an identity than "Its the Homewrecker but for rich people" So I took a large number of weapon reskins currently available in the game and gave them their own set of stats ranging from "Slightly modified sidegrade to the original" to "Completely new weapon idea that's not balanced at all but a ton of fun."

The only time I played MGE was with a friend, we both went scout and we were only allowed to use secondaries and melees, we went for the melee duels like 90% of the rounds, it was fun

Playing sniper helps with aim, so after playing a little sniper you can use the direct hit and miss 78% of shots fired instead of 80%

I got a account after 2 years of not playing (my old one was hacked) and played mge. I’m a engi main so I was basically forced to play another class. So I turned off my viewmodels and played soldier. Holy shit have I never had so much fun cuz the people I met were so chill but really good so it was tons of fun.
