i got 2 pairs of those margiella sneakers, blue suede and another leather burgundy, gum soles on both. I bought them like 10 years ago and I've warn them each like 3 times.
God dayum u po, super frugal aesthetic 😆…. U know what though as I write this I realize I’m frugal when it comes to fits too but the fact that I have over 20k worth of clothes and a steady 3k debt has me rethinking my life decisions….
ngl my nicest clothes have been $4 thrifted pants or $45 vintage 80's Italian leather jackets I've picked up from tanneries, boutiques & kilo sales. Literally mogs my branded clothing
I’m a guy with a pretty average build, but I have pretty big legs and it’s hard to find pants that fit and I’m comfortable in. But I finally found a good pair of cargo’s that fit me perfectly. And they only cost $25 at target. But the thing is, after like five or six months, they’ve completely worn down ripped in the middle between the legs. this is because the friction that my legs create when I walk around wears down the fabric so every 4-6 months I have to go to target and buy the same pair of $25 pants. I have tried and failed to just find another pair of pants that fit me this well and are also really lightweight and i can wear when its hot out. So in the meantime, I am stuck with basically having a subscription service for good pants.
I’m on the fence about “quality” higher end brands because, I’ll say more than half the time, they fit way better than lower fast fashion pieces. Either way, I’ll end up having it tailored to fit exactly how I want anyway. But there’s also instances where I’ll be thrifting and I come across pieces that fit absolutely PERFECT. And I end up keeping those longer than some of the pieces I buy brand new. Ultimately, FIT will always be king!
But that's the problem with ready to wear clothing, of course it will never fit like something custom made. So I don't think it's an indicator of quality, you might just have more luck with your body type at different stores. Just get those higher quality pieces of yours altered to your measurements and then see what actually looks better and keeps its shape longer
I mean. You can get the holes in jean pockets repaired. Obviously that’s not the point but it’s super easy (and inexpensive if you do it yourself). Congrats on the bomber. Super excited that’s cool as hell.
the ferrari comparison is great because i’ve seen more ferraris on the back of tow trucks than honda civics. lots of expensive cars have significant build quality issues, look at lamborghinis from a couple years back burning through clutches within months of ownership or teslas…everything
100% cotton raw selvedge denim ages with you and reflects your lifestyle and can be near infinitely repaired. To me “quality” is a combination of longevity and whether an item looks good as it ages. Another example is a nice broken in leather jacket. To me there’s nothing cooler than something that looks good from the first wear to even better after 1000 wears
one of the most expensive/flamboyant pieces of denim ive bought came with the pants left pocket sown with the inseam of the denim so now one of the pockets is perpetually cut in half. this was all after they touted on their instagram their 3 month long "quality control" that the pants went through, and in the end i love the pants regardless and have gotten more compliments on it than any other pants i own :)
Boy oh boy where do I even begin? Christian... my fashion icon, my inspiration. From the moment I stumbled upon your TH-cam channel, I was captivated by your style, your grace, your effortless elegance. The way you effortlessly pair colors and textures, striking fear into the hearts of fashion norms. Your eye for detail and your ability to create breathtaking ensembles, it's like witnessing art in motion. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I could endlessly bask in your creativity, never having to face the day you might step away from the camera. You've faced challenges in your journey, but you never lost sight of your vision. And off-screen, you're a beacon of kindness and authenticity. Sometimes, I even catch myself calling you a mentor. I forever dread the thought of the day you might retire from creating content. I would sacrifice anything if it meant seeing that radiant smile on your face. You've brought me immeasurable joy, and yes, a few tears, too. I remember when you took that hiatus from uploading, it felt like a piece of my heart shattered. But when you returned, it was like watching a phoenix rise from the ashes. You deserve every success, every accolade. Your impact on my life goes beyond words. Your fashion sense has not only influenced my wardrobe but also how I perceive myself. You've taught me that style is not just about what we wear, but how we express ourselves to the world. And for that, I am eternally grateful.
if anything this video showed me a budget friendly alternative to the gats... Ill probably be picking up some Sambas in the near future thanks Christian ^^
I fucking love this guy, idk why i started dying when he price dropped that chrome jacket. Went from “cuff the jeans, cuff the bitches” to questioning his relatability with his fans 😹
I bought three pairs of essentials shorts last summer and ALL 3 PAIRS FELL APART. Pockets came unstitched, lining separated, stitches came loose. Never dried them, was not putting anything sharp in them (i.e. keys). Honestly thought I was the first person that had ever had a pocket rip until I saw this. Unbelievable that companies are out here fucking up POCKETS on $60+ pair of shorts or $500 pair of jeans.
Dawg I've never thought about purchasing anything from youtube, but your oroboros bomber jacket is sick af and a bargain for what you get no cap. I'll buy
