Every mason that worked before the age of power tools is looking down from the heavens with absolutely murderous intentions 😂😂😂😂

Thanks so much Jon, I do intend to make more videos in the future so watch this space. Work and family life is somewhat chaotic at the moment though so filming is on the back burner.

@@mainstonecarving if it isn't giving too many trade secrets away itd be great to know what sort of tools are used in various stages. Can't belive how quick you can produce these.

@@M05tly I intend to share all knowledge I have as clearly as possible, hence making the videos. Theres not enough wide spread knowledge in my opinion so Im open to answer any questions you have. Also watch my other videos for more bits and bobs. I would like to teach of hold classes at some point in the future so keep in touch if that is something that might interest you.

@@mainstonecarving sounds great, I'll be sure to check out more of your videos. I have had a small amount of formal education and on site experience. During my time working with stone masons, and tradespersons in genral, it was always surprising to me how many hard won skills and methods they were willing to share. One thing I'd really like to be reminded of is how to mark and cut a moulding round all 4 sides of a block.

@@mainstonecarving something I'd really like to see would be a video on how you're using the flush cutter to create a flat. Any little tricks or tips you've learned while using it or methods you know help for using it with more proficiency

Very cool! I have always wanted to know the approximate time a project like this would take - I'm sure probably a little more or less time depending on the type of stone used too? Thanks for sharing, stone carving like this has always been a fascinating mystery to me 👍
