    Very important topic
We need to know our military history and also our national Itihasas (Ramayana and Mahabharata)
It is most relevant in current world scenario.

Vietnam had a very similar story. The only difference is 1976 withdrawal will happen far too fast in this case, as US will not have the capacity to continue any operation for long.

Fighting for other contries war is nothing to be proud off. They needed manpower to fight their wars. If you are fighting for your country on our borders , for national security or UN Peacekeeping makes sence.

When Sheikh Hasina was ousted it was declared that within 3 months elections would be conducted but after more than 45 the incident Army chief declared that a minimum of 18 months were required for conducting the polls. Now the interim government is working to strengthen Jamati Islami even though proponents of secularism remark that Jamati Islami does not have much presence. With time for elections, it will be an advantage for Jamati Islami and a loss of ground for the BNP. The USA is among the Western powers that suffered the pitfalls of Islamization and despite this USA is still encouraging Jamati to achieve its vested interests. Strengthening of Jamati is going to create another soft Taliban force and it will be detrimental to the interests of India.

I’m surprised what you meant by that. I’m a Bangladeshi Hindu.

    General Sir,
While the Soviets lost the most number of people in WW2, there is no reason to make an unnecessary statement that the US did not play such a Big role. It is the US forces that fought in the Pacific, the Far East, the South East and even in the Jungles in Burma.
You are better than this, General Sir.🙏🏼

But, Saddam sadly did not play the International game properly. He could have avoided the tragedy by making deals with the US

India cozying up to Russia and not being ready to American interests. QUAD not getting its required shape. India gave clear cut indication to west during the start of Ukrain war by not aligning itself with western interests. US had to develop some base in this side of the world. And, the result is: Changes in Bagladesh. In the process if Bagladesh gets ruined as is the Middle East, doesn't matter a bit to Western Powers. Powerful People dictate and less powerful oblige. It has been the story of Human History, nothing new. India deciding to ride Two Boats is a risky affair which has never given good results. Any War is always fought between Two, and not between Three. Out of the Two, One wins and decides the Future. India needs to be part of those deciding the world future.

Neutrality and self dependence is in the best interest of India....Look at Ukraine...It decided to choose west and we can see how it got self destructed. In Geopolitics nothing is permanent and this applies to Bangladesh too. For next 10 years india should be focused only on economy, infrastructure and defense...just ignore whats happening in the neighbourhood...It was always volatile...Dont get instigated..They are also on path of self destruction

It is rather ego rather than realizing the mistakes. Over the last 40 years embarrassingly thrown out from countries like Afghanistan where it failed completly, growth of islamization at its own turf, lossing the economic power status.

History is good. But inspite of this pakistan dared to attack us 4 times. Our forces did fairly well but we lost those gains on conference table.
Real power of nation is that enemy should fear us and dare not take PANGA. Unfortunately, we couldn't do that. Maldives had india out. Bangladesh also had india out during Hasina's time.
If Bangladesh goes for a six then it may be due to incompetence of usa like it happened in Iraq.
