Yup. While most other industries abandon obsolete tech and systems (just buy new ones!), we in IT didn't have that luxury. My company was ready 18 months out and we had just one non-critical error in our back-office systems on Jan 1st. I ended up being the Y2K Coordinator and let me tell you, the number of systems that had to be checked, tested, remediated, etc...most people have no idea!
I was there for Y2K and I can confirm this movie is historically accurate; it’s an authentic and precise documentary of a time when humanity was almost wiped out.
Haha Chris, noooo! Sorry to hear you really didn't enjoy this one. I actually had a pretty good time with the movie, and it played very well with a likeminded 90s audience. Definitely feels like an overlong SNL skit, but I was laughing for a decent chunk of the movie. Great review as always!
First time i got scared from seeing a household appliance cause some some serious violent damage was the mom from Gremlins...she went ham on thoes things. Lol
'Her' is one of the better computer/AI movies in recent years imo. Artifice Girl as well. Very few realistic IT movies, other than docos about hacking, or historical ones, unfortunately.
I'd still be willing to see it but only after it comes out on Hulu or something there's too other movies I want to see instead but this might Good watch on streaming 😅
@@rustyshackleford6035 the hunger games made like 350 million. she's only a "star" because people are obsessed with hating her. if she gets to fail up it will be because of that lol.
This movie gets made, but Hollywood won't greenlight any of the movie ideas I've pitched them! People would have a much better time going to any of my movies than this!
haha I usually land somewhere near you on the review scale but i LOVED this one. it was admittedly stupid but something about it was so charming & endearing to me. & i was laughing a lot, along with the rest of my theater. still appreciate your perspective tho!
I see Zegler I can't help to think of that clip of her Snow white, where she does the little "tongue in cheek click " when asked about the backlash the trailer was getting. I don't watch any of her ,bad acting imo. No TY booo 👎🏽😂
After 1999 ended and entered 2000 i saw high in the sky and was everything ok nothing bad happened the ai didnt rise in '00 🎉 but watching this movie bring me good memories about y2k 😂
I am 46. I have zero in common with teenagers. Even in movies about my youth, I can't stand teenagers anymore. Good thing I never became a dad, hahahaha. I will skip this one
Whoa! I think that's the lowest rating I've seen you give. Thank you for your service, helping us avoid a train wreck 🖖
The Y2k bug turned out to be not that bad due to the huge amount of work and money spent on rectifying the problem before the end of 1999.

All those complaining without seeing it, think for yourselves...it really wasn't that bad this review is overly dramatic.
This is the first time I ever seen you give such a low rating. This movie must be very bad.

2:04 eye countact 😂
We salute you Chris, our hero, for taking this hit so we don’t have to 🫡.
Rachel Zegler doesn't bode well
😂 I swear every movie she's in tanks she's Box Office poison but for some reason she's still considered a Big star 😅

Oof!! That is rough! Thanks for the warning & making it entertaining. ;)
Such a BAD movie!! It's on my list as the WORST film of 2024
This movie gets made, but Hollywood won't greenlight any of the movie ideas I've pitched them! People would have a much better time going to any of my movies than this!
Kyle Mooney is the biggest mystery in show business.
I'd rather watch Brisby Bear for the 90th time.
Please review " don't come home"
Loved the show.. Waiting to see how many couches.. You gonna give it
Sounds like someone tried to remake Maximum Overdrive and didn't do any better than Stephen King originally did.

The trailer looked bad so not shocked
Are you going to do a review on Werewolves with Frank Grillo ?
You should try Maaveeran when you have the time. It's an Indian film, tamil with subtitles should be the best experience.
Review Senna please, I loved that series and would love to hear your opinion on it
This movie sounds wonderful. 1 half wonderful.
Dang! Now I have to watch it
The Matrix, came out at the turn of the century and has to do with machines.
I was excited and absolutely looking forward to this movie from it's first announcement... then the trailer dropped.

It's s funny movie. Kid laroi did a awesome job.
OMG is it that bad 😅 only the trailer and the poster is good in this movie lol 😅
So, it's realistic then, about as interesting as the real Y2K 🤣 Thanks for saving me time Chris!

Rushed yet feels too long. Darn it.
Very cool.
Looks like a crappy movie. Not even bad so good one
This review was shocking, in a sad way. Sigh.
👎
No can do
Lol.
If Rachel Zegler is in it, the movie is doomed from the get go.
Oh God Rachel zeigler.. is this work garbage? Everybody hates that ain't sufferable kunnt
