Got to the part where Baalor mentioned that Sadistic Nature wouldn't work on Ironclad, I actually recently got an A20 win with Clad that used 2 Sadistic Nature+ to deal most of the damage, alongside Thunderclaps and Champ's Belt. Goes to show that any kind of deck is possible, if the right situation presents itself.
(I am still super noob, A1 on Clad and Silent) That's really cool. But without the necessary components, sometimes a dead card can fail a run. I think it's more like in general, getting Sadistic Nature to work on Clad isn't as easy as say, getting the exhaust synergies to work on Clad.
@@4ltruizer of course, it just so happened in this circumstance I took a random rare relic from neow, took a thunderclap from a card reward, and saw sadistic nature in a shop before the boss, while needing more damage to ensure winning the fight. The stars just happened to align in this one run to do that kind of deck
i love how i saw a bunch of drop kicks in the thumb nail. first card reward = drop kick and baalor proceeds to NOT pick dropkick. Never let them know your next move.
14:36 is there a limit on how many relics you can get from this event? I’m sure I’ve killed the elite and not received a relic , but maybe it’s because I looted before the elite
Dead Adventurer only gives each reward once - It is possible to get both gold and the relic before the fight, and then the elite would only give a card reward.
just had a run yesterday also start with 3 uncommon attacks that are a sketchy without support (3x reckless charge). it was a good run, also ended up as a combo deck
Sadistic nature on Clad can work. I had it work before. you "only" need a bottled Sadistic Nature one or two Dual wields depending on the deck size so that instead of doing 7 damage per Debuff you deal 21. Add a few shockwaves and Uppercuts. Voila. That said. Its unlikely to work out. But this game does have nigh infinite potential
Thunder strike can work on Clad you just need floor 3 shop with prismatic shard 100 gold from your starting bonus you then need a capacitor or 2, some focus, and of course ball lightning or equivalent, but it can work.
I have found more sucess picking dropkick early rather than skipping it. Vulnerable is so ample on the clad which makes it tolerable early game, and two drokicks can carry late game, especially with rage.
Me too but I don't always try to force exhaust like he does. I'm not as good either but dropkick is always a good card early. One that can also reliably win runs since it's kinda simple to operate

(Thought it was pretty cool 😂 and when he agreed with chat that spikers will be scary, I was like o.o oh shoot, spikers but then realized I also have a juggernaut stuff going on so there’s that safeguard. No max health scaling tho)
BRUH it was such a strong run and I completely misplayed against spear and shield… so upset at myself for that. I even had a fairy but couldn’t survive two of those double 60+ damage attacks with burns messing up draws. Failed to set up ink bottle adequately too for both times… a painful lesson
Clash is countered by increased draw, curses and afflictions. Without things like sever soul or second wind you'll see it's hard to play at all on certain fights like the sentry, slimes, snecko, or orb walkers. It pairs well with corruption if you have it already but otherwise you'll need to waste energy to play/exhaust your defensive cards to use an attack. It falls in the "not bad early but definitely something you want to remove later". it can work on fights where you need to defend a lot but that's not really the ironclad's most productive playstyle and will be countered if you draw more defensive cards than you can play in a turn. Even if the card is 0 energy and higher damage than your normal strikes without a way to reliably remove cards from your hand clash will simply be discarded and as such is equivalent to -1 card draw.
I wonder if April would be a good time to switch characters, 3 months each give or take. Also, now I want to see a run like this with added ninja relics and the sundial.

What I really appreciate is that this deck is functional even outside of achieving the Infinite, as shown in the fight with the orb walkers.
