- Here's a Cool supercharger kit that will let you spend about $2,000 and double the HP of your 1600cc VW engine. Kopressorhaus makes an AMR 500 Supercharger kit for your VW. Here's a cool kit for your 1200-1900cc engine,. It'll add up to 50HP they have 3 versions. "The Sleeper" an under deckled that uses a HD the carburetor. "The Ultimate" is the Kit that uses a dual 40mm DCOE side draft. Then "The Cyclone" uses a down draft 40mm Weber this is for uses in BAJA bugs and dune buggies and does not fit under a deck lid.

Is this Type 1 only? I was looking to put a 2.0 Type 4 in my Baja mated to a 3 rib bus transmission.
It is design for a 1.9l and less
What is the biggest displacement this Supercharger is recommended for ?

have a vw bug 1500cc single port - 1968 and really considering the sleeper kit version, question - the decklid i have is a 65 with a popes nose, will i have enough clearance ? also roughly the output bhp?. currently 40hp ( does this setup work on single ports? or only dual port )

A air cooled VW engine just ain't worth it any more! They're far too expensive for the meger power available! Better to install a good ($1500) rebuilt GM 3.1 V6 w/aluminum heads and forget all the BS to get more power out of an antique air cooled motor that will need a rebuild after 100k if it lasts that long before blowing up! And I luv the air cooled VW but the prices have gotten ridiculous for them!
