It did get me into the sport to begin with, but that has nothing to do with actually liking a team. The japanese teams playstyle is just really fun to watch, and they're filled with iconic players. They're one of the worlds top teams for a reason, I'm honestly not sure why you would assume a world class team wouldn't have fans in other countries, that just seems really presumptuous to me
Both teams qualified for the Olympics at this point. It was best opportunity to allowed other Japanese players as they rarely get any playtime. Sekita, Yuki, Ran, & Yuji nearly take up more than half of the team & have more playtime.
yeah I noticed both teams essentially put in all of their back ups. Fun to see both sides playing people that don't normally get a lot of playing time! @@shinyeee1709

For some reason, the American team looks like twice the size of Japanese team, in terms of height and width. It is like watching the gladiator between a animal beast like a 500 pound Bear fighting a lanky young man, as most of the Japanese players are so young in early 20s.
its wonderful to watch with the tiny physical body of japan although they are (even tall as the whitess), compare to the muscular body of the white, people would think its an easy defeat for japan but hell no...they are even good as those muscular people...they made their names on volleyball competition, they are better than the others in the west.... it made me think,, hmmm theres still a chance for everyone even the other has a an advantage, there are ways to beat them....
I don't think this is legendary cause both Japan and USA were already qualified for the Olympics so this is basically more like a friendly match.😅

both teams were not using starters. Japan actually used more starters by constantly subbing in ishikawa, ran, sekita, and yamauchi
