One thing you need to understand is, if you're learning art, the journey isn't just one straight road, but more so a rocky path amongst mountains. From the experience I have gained, it took me a long time to come to the understanding that naturally you will forget and you will get worse, but if you keep practicing, eventually you may retain that knowledge. Art is a journey, not a destination. Take your time buddy.
