    THANK YOU!!!
    The amount of poor to zero explanation videos/forums on how the little details of this game works is so upsetting. Your video is a godsend for breaking down the barrier to play this game!

    Great video!
    While this is not a deep-dive into the different stats, I do think it would be nice to point out that:
    1. Charge bonus dissipates over 15 (if I recall correctly) seconds. So leaving a unit in combat for about 10-12 seconds after impact before disengaging is usually not a bad idea.
    2. If a unit breaks (due to leadership loss) 3 times during a battle, it will automatically shatter and not be able to return again.
    If I misremember on either of these two points, please correct me.

    • @CleymanYT
      @CleymanYT ปีที่แล้ว

      Does the second point you make also apply to Skaven and Trolls for example? I feel like their whole gimmick is to waver and break pretty quickly but also to come back right after and while I have never explicitly paid attention to how many times they break during a battle I feel like it is a lot more than 3 times. Could be wrong though. Or is there a difference between wavering and breaking that I'm not aware of? I always just differentiated between wavering (running away but with the possibility of coming back) and shattering (being out of the fight completely not able to come back)

    I seem to recall that there is a cap of 80% on the amount of damage that armor prevents. Which is to say, if the random number between Half Armour & Full armour is over 80%, it only reduces damage by 80%. Is that still true in Warhammer 3?

    • @GodKingJonald
      @GodKingJonald 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This! It's like a rock paper scissors for a lot of them and I always forget. Like how well Axe vs Spear, Spear vs sword, etc

    • @Sangheilitat117
      @Sangheilitat117 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s more like most spears have anti-large, and horses are large entities, so spears usually perform well against them. It’s not so much a Rock Paper Scissors as it is “units with the anti large trait do well against large in most cases and units with anti infantry trait do well against infantry in most cases.” There’s no real difference between an axe or a sword unit, the game only cares about their respective melee attack, melee difference, and armor. The swords and axes are purely cosmetic visuals.

      @@Sangheilitat117 back in the Rome 2 days the sword, Spear, or axe mattered in melee. That's what I was referring to, I wasn't sure if that was still a thing

    Yes! I do have a big question actually! The passive trait Daemonic provides physical resistance. . . But how much does it provide? It's nowhere to be found, it just says that - other than the banishment penalty and terror passive - it provides physical resistance. I have tried to find anything online about it, I couldn't find a proper, solid answer.

    • @thebaddestguy
      @thebaddestguy ปีที่แล้ว

      Daemonic and the Marks' effects are already on the unit card, the abilities just show a small list of the effects so you can tell at a glance. Daemonic for example gives 20% physical resistance so that's automatically added to any physical resistance the unit already has.

    Does ward save stack? For example if you have 50% ward save and 20% physical resistance would that put physical resistance at 70% technically?
    Also what if a certain resistance reaches 100%? Or is it cap at 90%?

    • @spookydan39
      @spookydan39 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that means you resist 70% of physical damage, and 20% of other damage.
      And yes, resistances cap at 90%, so even if you had 70% physical and 50% ward save it will still only give you at most 90% resistance overall against physical.

    I have played these games for years and NEVER paid any attention to this information. Did I ever win? Not often but I had fun. Thanks for the vid man. That clip for the missile damage of the projectiles flying to their target was really smooth!

  • @freemarketcollectibles678

    I hate to be that guy, but do to how hard it is to find quality information I feel I need to point out a slight inaccuracy, and it may have been mentioned before but I didn't take the time to look, so my bad if it was. BUT as of WH3 (some changes from WH2)--- Fire damage can be both Physical and Magical(and both Magical attack and Magical Spell), hence Physical Fire damage, say from an Irondrake or Flame Cannon is affected by Physical Resistance(as well as Fire Resist and Ward Save).---Magical Fire Damage from say well any Tzeench unit would ignore Physical Resistance and Spell Resist but would be checked by Fire Resist and Ward Save. However; Magical Fire Damage from a spell, like Fireball or Flamestorm would Ignore Physical Resistance but is affected by the others, Fire, Ward, Spell. Same is true for Missiles, can be all of the above and is impacted the same way, the only difference is an added category of resist to check, Missile.
    TLDR : Only Magical Fire damage bypasses Physical Resistance.

    So does magical damage work like armor piercing? Is it a guarantied dmg to hp or does it have to go through armor too? Im assuming magic resist lowers it?

    • @mitzvahboat1236
      @mitzvahboat1236 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think magical attacks just means it ignores physical resistance not armour

    • @spookydan39
      @spookydan39 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Magical damage ignores physical resistance, not armour. It is not negated by Magic Resist in WH3 (which is now called spell resistance to reflect this), so magic weapons is always a good thing to have if you have them, and something to note on an enemy if you have, say an ethereal unit like hexwraiths who will get shredded without their physical resistance to protect them.

    If a unit has ap damage and goes up against a unit with little to no armour does that ap get added into the base and over kill unarmored or is it redundant and only negates the armour?
