My problem with endor is it's just so bland and empty. I wanted a set that was dense and really felt forested. Even the tree builds aren't particularly nice imo. Completely agree that the trench run is great though!
Finally got the throne room on sale. I understand why it is the most costly of them. It's the best and it's massive comparably. The price is still high imo. My only gripe and please if you are someone who like things perfect stop reading. The emperor throne is 3 stud wide in the backrest. They decided a uneven 2 stud and 1 stud peice to make it. It gives a off centre seam. Look at the image of the actual throne. It has a seam in the middle. Now obviously they could not do that with a 3 stud wide part, 4 is too much and 2 too little. Personally I would have preferred they use 3 one stud wide peices so the parts would he symmetrical at least.
Big cap! Emperors throne room is easily number 1! Death Star trench is number 2. Everyone be sleeping on it just because it doesn’t come with a mini figure.
Definitely something I’d consider doing in the future. I’m trying to figure out exactly what I want my slate of upcoming videos will look like and narrow in on content that I really love to make so probably not something that you’ll see in the short term, but I have lots of ideas bouncing around for the long term.
I from Brazil and Lego is much more expensive and our economy is weaker. Bought Dagobah in a sale and it's amazing. Trash seems cool because of the minifigures. I don't have any of these. Same for Emperor room, very cool, but too expensive. Instead of buying these dioramas as a fan of star wars, i can buy awesome sets like Van Gogh, almost a Riverdell, A cabin... There are awesomes sets with better prices and better aesthetics. Loved Indiana Jones, best diorama by far.
The three original diorama sets are retiring this year and I only think i’ll be able to afford two of them. I usually prefer minifigure sets so that’s kind of knocked me off the trench run, but you’ve said it’s really good. What do you suggest? (dagobah jedi training is a 100% buy for me js the other two i’m not sure)
I don't know what to tell you man. I love the trash compactor diorama, like I think it's a fantastic set. But I see a $50-60 set. I just can't stomach the $120 price tag in Canada no matter how much I love the set in a vacuum. The trench run worked for me because I love the way the trench is detailed and it's a more digestible price. I managed to find the throne room on sale, so the only two I don't have right now are the endor one and the trash compactor. Endor I really have no desire for, I just think it's pretty poorly done, but I totally get the struggle when it comes to the trash compactor vs the trench run lol. Not sure what to tell you. I'm not as attached to minifig sets as most are. Minifigs have grown on me over the years but I've never overly cared for them. I think that made the trench run a little easier of a buy for me. I'd just go with whatever your gut is.
My opinion is just look at them both and think which you really want. But 3 things I'd factor is you said prefer minifig sets, so that pushes you towards the trash compactor. But another possible consideration is if one day you want to finish the collection. My guess would be is the trash compactor would potentially have the higher of the 2 third party price due to the inclusion on minifigs on e discontinued. I can't say for sure how it would truly end up but that's my guess. Meaning the trech run might be the cheapest later on if you ever desire to finish the collection Another thing. To me the trench run looks like the odd one out due to the not to minfig scale next to the others. If you display with minifigs, it looks odd. If that's a issue for you (it would be for me). I'd get the dagobah and trash compactor.
My list :
1. Trash Compactor
2. throne room
3. Trench run
4. boonta podrace
5. Endor
6. dagobah
got the Dagobah and indeed I think I'm going for the Imperator scene next!
Technically, the Meditation Chamber was the first diorama set
Dagobah is over hyped. Trench Run and Endor are so underrated and have much more potential with custom builds

This is definitely in the realm of nitpicks lol. I have yet to build my throne room yet but I'm looking forward to!
I fully agree with this list

I think the x-wing and tie fighter don’t look as good as they could’ve been personally
I don't like the trees and grass because they detach too easily.
I know that always happens when I pick it up
Would you consider making a review of the GWP star wars diorama sets also? I means sets like 40451 and 40407 etc?
Definitely something I’d consider doing in the future.

I think the trash compactor is no1

Bro decently had a script to the bottom left💀
How about darth Vader meditation chamber diorama, bespin duel diorama
those are not official parts of the diorama collection but you could call them their predecessor
I have the top 2
