I convined my parents to let me get a trumpet just because of you, I showed them one of your videos and I said if you get me one I will learn this and play it for you, so I got one, learned the Star Wars Theme and now they keep asking me to play it, thanks so much for the inspiration!

Can you tell me please how did you get so so so good at it like when I was in I was in 7th or 6th grade when I was playing trumpet and I wouldn't even blow out of in to the instrument so my band teacher switched me to percussion
Thanks for the comment! Just practice :) And air is a huge part of trumpet playing. If you don't use the air properly, it makes things a lot harder.

Great cover! I'm trying to get back into playing again after 7 years out of high school and your videos definitely helped me in finding my sound again. i play trumpet and i have been playing it for a long time, and i don't ever see trumpet covers, and i been thinking about doing some myself. i am into music a lot, like the guitar, alto sax, and trumpet. And i have been playing sence i have been able to walk, its been in my family all my life too, so music has a lot to do with the way i ack, keep it up, im way younger then you and i have people wanting to pay for my college for me. keep it up, and maybe message me about this.

I put a karaoke track of the song into an audio program. And then that song is playing while I record the trumpet melody over top of it. So it all comes out together :)

do u have any tips on getting better and tonguing?
I would say to make sure you get your practicing in. Also, make sure you don't get lazy on articulation when it comes to tonguing. Someone told me that imagine you're playing in an auditorium with people in the very back who don't know how to articulate, so you want to make sure your "tu" comes across to them. Scales would probably help with tonguing as well.

Around the one minute mark what note was that high one? Impressive. I was hitting tripple Gs my junior year of school but then got braces and never been able to get it since. :/
Thanks! It was a high C. Sorry you haven't been able to hit those notes again because of the braces :( I don't know if I've ever played a triple G.

Thank you! It depends on the song. For this song, I learned it by ear. For other songs I've done, I've found sheet music on musescore or amazon. Occasionally I will make my own sheet music, but not a whole lot.

Whenever I try to hit high notes, it hurts and it's really hard for me on my trumpet. Do you have any tips you could give me?
Try not to use too much mouthpiece pressure. If it hurts, you're probably jamming the mouthpiece into your lips too hard. Try to use faster air instead.

Thanks! I would suggest familiarizing yourself with the lyrics of the song. It will help you to be more expressive and interpret the text as well :) And there are a lot of higher notes in this one, so make sure you're letting the air do the work more than your lips. Don't use too much pressure.
