- Fitting a sports cat to the GTI. Car had an mot advisory for a leaking flex pipe so thought I might as well upgrade to a sports cat. Drive by video will be out once lockdown is over, the car sounds a lot better!

Got it from Facebook marketplace a few months ago for 180 - not too bad considering how much they go for new
is that a standard r32 exhaust noise or are these aftermarket parts?
It's an aftermarket Milltek exhaust for the GTI
do you keep the gti original with an r32 rear or put ed30 front lip /sideskirts or even r32 frotn side on it?
Mine is currently all stock with the R32 rear. Ed30 parts should fit. I'm not planning on putting the R32 front end on it - the GTI one looks 👌🏼
@@HimiJ well if your gti bumper is oem it must fit ed30 is just an front lip extending and making the front lil more agressive would suprise me if it wouldnt and the r32 is to much work since it wont fit at all. nice knowing more about the build
I didn't know the ed30 had a different front lip - thanks for the info. Might look into getting one.
@@HimiJ np, well the gti ed30 is just an golf which is little more agressive aero added to the golf bumpers with bigger turbo i think bbs wheels
and it got the same taillights as the r32. in case you didnt know i hope i helped you a little more there

8:53 the timing chain is very loud
Sounds really loud in the video, that's just the camera and audio is boosted slightly. In real life it's 👌🏼. EcoTune said it sounded good for one of these engines, I did think it got a wee bit louder switching from LiquiMoly 5w30 to Shell Hx8 but difficult to tell. Thanks for the comment 👊🏼
