I have viewed all your tutorial episodes and I have found it very fun and interesting to watch. I have also learned a lot on the way. Keep up the good work! :)
Thanks! I'm currently doing a play through series, playing on the new "HARD" difficulty setting. It requires a lot of water! Oh, and note that the newer versions of the game have changed a few things since this tutorial. You now have to level up your skills for example.... and aloe salves are no longer re-usable.
@@agoork01 I may watch that play through series. I'm playing Stranded Deep myself, I have seen the new level skills but I didn't notice any differences. Maybe I havn't played that much to notice it yet. About water, I didn't know you could lay fibre below the water still at first and I was praying for storms, but it's easier now :)
Pipi plants are hugely important, i had to search 4 island befor i was able to get one. I got it, saved, ran back to hom, put the thing farming plot. Rejoiced even though i wasted an entire day.
Thanks! Your videos were some of the 1st ones I watched when I 1st started to play with the Cartographer, so I learned a lot from watching those. I've played on Tora Tora too - nice island :)
Looking at your floating house, I wondered if you could stack some of the crates under it to look like foundations and to give the house some support...
I truly enjoyed this educational video. Thank you. My question however, as of today, Tuesday 20th/04/2021, is there a way to refuel those beautiful Fire Stick Lamps because in real life, you only had to find cloth & dowse it in fuel, both of which are easy to come by in the game. You are absolutely right, those Fire Stick Lamps are beautiful & give off a lot of beautiful light. Stay safe.
I've tried doing exactly what you recommended. I have full bars on SPF. It's early morning, day hasn't hit yet. And my sunblock disappears as soon as I use it. Does this trick still work? What could I be doing wrong? How do you pan and zoom the camera around the island like that?
Nothing. They changed the way sunblock works in an update since this was filmed. It now only lasts 1 day. Now, I don't even bother with sunblock, as it is really only mid afternoon (roughly 2-3pm) that you can get sunstroke... so just do some underwater stuff (fish, look for clay or search a wreck) at some point prior to 2pm, or just hang out in the shade while you craft things. Then you'll never need to use sunblock.
@@agoork01 Thought that might be the case. While I've been trying to figure it out, I've pretty much done that anyway. Also put on a canopy in hopes of keeping down uv rays while traveling.
@@agoork01 You have a lot of Stranded Deep on your channel. What other games do you play? Have you tried Subnautica? Similar only far more UNDER the waves then above and on an alien planet.
Not noticeably. About all you will gain from multiple sails is a bit better maneuvering and that depends on how you configure your raft. I don't know exactly how to do that (never found it to be important enough), but I know that there are other youtube videos out there that cover the subject.
28:46 :D :;D refreshing, LOL .. btw, what version was your game at time of this tutorial? I have checked back your building again, cause I can't set foundations and floors when something is a bit or even almost in the way , obstacles like bedrocks or palms. Last episode when you built your pier it worked fine, not with me though ? - (EP 11 8:45 or 10:33 for ex)
Buoy balls :) This was version 0.51 stable. You should be able to place foundations and floors half into rocks. Not sure about palm trees though. One thing that can mess you up when building over water are those tiny schools of fish. For some reason they prevent you from building where they are. You can still build there, but you have to save and exit the game and then come back in again, as the fish have probably moved and spawn somewhere else. That's the most common "why can't I build here?". The only other thing I can think of is if you have some other structure nearby that might prevent you from placing a foundation in a certain location. It can be your boat, or another solid structure of any kind.
Found an island with 4 containers on a sunken ship, buttload of loot, tyres and barells in the deepest part of it can't get tyres or barells through the doorway also 4 sharks keep respawn g not sure if it's a glitch.
If you are trying to use the tyres or barrels right away to add to your raft, just take a hammer and a lashing with you, craft the raft base while down in the shipwreck and swim to the surface and place the ghost image of the base onto the side or end of your raft, and you can actually use the tyres/barrels without having to bring them to the surface.
Yes, they have changed the way it works (this is an old video). Each aloe salve is now only good for 1 use, so I personally never even bother crafting them any more. Just go swim for 5 minutes (catch fish or check a wreck) and you'll be fine. You don't have have to worry about it at all after 3pm.
The seed # for the world I started on is #89972203, but the island with my base is a custom island added afterwards, so it will not be there, and it is only available for PC. If you are on PC, you can subscribe to it (free) via the steam workshop (it's called Forsaken Island).
@@agoork01 hehehe I know., it was a reaction to the "vanished.ingognito, caput, gone etc." moment. I should have expressed it a bit better.. Great videos btw, I am having lots of fun!! :)
@@ahumanother lol - Ok, cool. Glad you are enjoying them :) Maybe I should have added a few more descriptive words, like "disintegrated, invisible, deteriorated, decayed..." :)

@@Lu1sP4ula If you are talking about building an island in the cartographer, there are a lot of factors to it. There are tutorials online if you search.
Agoork i was talking about your island in especific. Its perfect. It as to do to number of things you want to put on. Rocks, trees, size, height. Rigor?
Console versions seem to be lacking functionality hard. I am on Ps4 and the frames issue I have from island to island makes it almost unplayable. Alongside other issues.

Thanks for the video! My container spawned on the beach, not the water, of the original island. Guess I'll count myself lucky!

Oops, sorry, I've subscribed.
I don't believe so. They are pretty, but require a lot of resources (not renewable or re-lightable), so I don't really use them in normal game play.
So are the only differences the amount of ingredients and appearances?
Yes, pretty much. There is no functional difference between the different materials.
