@EyeStrikeFishing absolutely. I love them. They help me avoid tying a loop knot in some bigger fish situations ....with a loop knot as well....you can get some really good movement...These TexasEye allow for great movement, especially when the fish are cold and picky.🙂 I plan to get more and use them in a few other baits as well. 😁
Way to get back out there and make up for the terrible day. We all have them even after all the signs indicating you should stay off the water. Thanks for all the tips as they will be helpful when I go out this week. Beautiful reds and trout. Great job landing the 26+ and Mr spots was too cool. Love all your videos man! Great Job!!!
They are not letting water out anywhere. Another person mentioned lack of rain and the wind moving the water around. You will also see small differences in height with the moon phases it will raise and lower the water levels a little bit. When you have really low tides and minor high tides more water can dump out and when you have really high tides and high low tides the water backs up. The water levels we are seeing last year and this year are more normal to the winter levels that we used to have compared to what we have been seeing since the Lagoon took a dump the last 5-10 years. These low levels and cold water are what help the lagoon clear up from the summer algae blooms, which in return means healthy grass. The grass dying back and being shorter during the winter is also normal. Just so you know it can get lower. We haven't even seen negative levels yet on the gauge in Haulover, which has happened in the past.
@ronwhetstone3144 thanks for the comment and this information. That totally makes sense. Really do appreciate your knowledge on this and you commenting. Tight lines
@@ronwhetstone3144 hoping we see low levels for a while this cold season so I can fish my fish in a barrel spots lol. Last year it was around 7" higher in december but this year its shaping up to be good
I went 2 weekends ago and had to drag the kayak at least a 100yds at one of the launches I normally use. Did find a hole up a tidal creek that was holding a bug school of specks so that was still fun
@alexanderren1097 oh yikes, ya I have been in that situation before as well. Sometimes they fishing trip is nothing like what you plan for 😆. Sounds like you still got on some fish. Very cool
@davidmikitka5674 ya, it's crazy. I was shocked to. It was a huge drop in a short time. Where did all that water go? They must be able to let the water out somewhere..... Maybe someone left it open. Hopefully, we will get a good amount of rain soon.
@davidmikitka5674 ya, my shoulders are sore today. 😂 I didn't expect to be paddling and push polling 9" of water most of the morning. 😏 I really hope it stops, winter just started. 😬 Any lower and alot of spots won't even be accessible to Kayaks
@@ThumprFishing oh ok I know where that’s at, did you go on the back way down that long narrow road and then turned in? Yeah, I had to drag my kayak about 30 yards from the shore to hit the water.
Have you tried the zman big ballerz? Newer product of theirs but they have been crushing snook from the banks in the lagoon. Seen people getting on massive trout and reds too
@alexanderjackson2855 I saw them in a few videos of people at ICast. They look pretty cool. I havnt tried them yet. Forgot all about them, I'll definitely try and pick some up and try them. Thanks for the tip. Tight lines
Thanks for the support! Glad the TexasEye is working for ya

Man I'm just glad i'm not the only one who went out that morning and had a terrible day of fishing haha
@stsrigek2170 😆ya, we all have days like that...happens to the best of us. But always a win when you're at least fishing

Thanks 😁
lack of rain means water evaporates and doesnt get replenished+ north wind pushes water south and out.
@@rbuzaki ya good call... all.solid points and probably definitely has much to do with it. Thanks for the comment
Yes I was shocked how very low the water was on Friday when I went out!
Never seen it that low
