It’s definitely a lot less stress. So I feel like I’m happier as well. I used to have to watch my loads like a hawk to make sure I was making my bonuses and hitting my numbers each week and now the numbers just seem to be there without really having to try. But 100% if you see the UT colored truck rolling up that way holler at me my cb is always on.
Glad to see you were able to continue filming for your channel with the new company. No more hotel room now but you lose some room on the truck. Truck looks good!
Yea I’m happy even tho I’m rolling a sleeper but it’s a good change as well. So less hotels but I can nap if I’m tired mid day now so it’s a good five and take lol
Hey Matt, just.be careful with the truck package A,with 4 trucks, when you hit a pothole the top deck can roll and hit the top of the bottom truck, if you can take the decks off and drill new holes closer to the edge and you can gain an inch and a half all round. Best of luck with the new company
Thank you for that I’ll have to ask next time I’m at their yard and see if they will do that. I also didn’t know the top deck would rock that much so thank you for that.
Funny you say that because I’ve had the exact opposite experience. Most guys I’ve known over the years tend to stick around. But I also haven’t worked with a ton of companies so that could very well be y.
You have a great safe driving technique man !! Its good to see the way you drive being conscious of being attentive to whats going on ahead !! I have been following you for a long time and wish you the best at Waddle !!!
Thank you that means a lot. And same goes for you feel free to reach out anytime. You can get mine from them or reach out on Facebook and I’ll send it over
Yea if I get more truck loads I’ll play around. I’m sure I can hard strap and get low but I didn’t wanna waist extra time when I was already trying to figure the truck out lol. Next time I will tho
I could but I won’t. I would never bash a company because I wasn’t happy. I’m sure other ppl will over Facebook if they aren’t happy but that’s just not me. The direction they’re taking the company and the way I like to run with the type of money I want to make just we’re no longer gonna go down the same path. I’m sure the new system will be great for a lot of ppl but it wasn’t gonna work for me.
For someone who's been hauling cars for 15 years I find it difficult to believe that you've never loaded six cars or pickup trucks at one time p I used to have a 75 ft carrier like yours and I used to pack six crew cab with 8 ft boxes and a Ford F-150 supercab up here in Canada we used to be a ABCD rate I don't know what they do today I'm retired
Thanks for the content I have been learning a lot from your videos. What advice would you give me as an owner operator looking to switch gears into auto hauling with no experience and basically self learning as I go? I understand that it's not like switching from a dry van to flatbed you literally have to be OCD when it comes to auto hauling but I am pretty motivated, I learn quickly and also take a lot of pride in learning and mastering my craft.
So I’ll tell you this is probably the worst time to get into car hauling but that actually makes it the best. Because if you can make it the way car hauling is right now then you’ll be set when things get good again. So as for starting off I strongly recommend 8 car high mounts or 9 car stingers only. You need to haul quantity right now. And take it slow don’t get in a rush when loading or unloading because that’s how you damage things. 13’6 is maximum height for 90% of the United States.
@dieseldeez that’s gonna be a great trailer. Now I never ran one so I don’t know exactly how they load but I’d say it’s probably back the first one on then pull the next 3 on. Then pull on the one on spot 5 over the 5th wheel. Pull 6 back 7 pull 8 on.
The week off didn’t help but I was already pretty much gone by time that happened. There was a ton of changes that made it so I made less money and had to work an extra day every week. Which for me we’re both lines that I won’t let be crossed. My terminal was on the new system first and it just wasn’t working for me. I loved it there so I’m sad that I felt like I was left with no choice but to leave.
@CarcarrierTv yeah my buddy is telling me the same thing not happy with the new dispatch at all less money well go luck over there buddy I will keep watching 👍 you put out go stuff
Even hard tying you won’t get a 1500 style truck under 14’ on a bubble top. On my chop top I get about 14 without hard tying. Nice work playing in that slop up there.
Yea it wasn’t fun. I’m a southern guy I don’t enjoy the slush lol. Yea I kinda figured that it would be about 14 hard tied. I’ve hard tied on a chop top and I’m around 13’9-10 ish so I figured it would be high
Does Waddle run into and out of Florida? May be relocating there in a year or two and although I'm willing to stay at URS the automatic transmission thing is a hard pass for me.
@@CarcarrierTv if your say +30% of what the load paid good deal. I get $10 per car extra for auction cars it took two years of battle to get that. Some places get the cars pulled for you thats the best deal imo.
So I can’t really recommend one single company because car hauling isn’t like most forms of trucking. I would say find the company that has the work in your area that runs the way you want to run. I could recommend a company like Waddle but if you live on the west coast they won’t work for you.
Glad to see you back into business
Hey buddy nice to see u in a new truck you defiantly seem more excited and look out for me in Michigan I’m up there 2 to 3 times a week
It’s definitely a lot less stress. So I feel like I’m happier as well. I used to have to watch my loads like a hawk to make sure I was making my bonuses and hitting my numbers each week and now the numbers just seem to be there without really having to try. Good to see you back rolling Good luck at your new company
Thank you they seem top notch over here. I’m very happy with it

Congratulations brother so happy for you
Has always amazed me as to how often car hauler switch companies....It's like ya don't have a plan.... just bouncing around.
Funny you say that because I’ve had the exact opposite experience. Most guys I’ve known over the years tend to stick around. But I also haven’t worked with a ton of companies so that could very well be y.

Thank you for that. I try to stay safe and keep everyone safe around me. I’m loving being here at Waddle so hopefully lots of videos coming.
Congrats on your transition and best wishes to y’all.
Thank you it’s been amazing
Welcome to the family!
Thank you it’s been a blessing
Matt if there’s ever anything you need help with, don’t hesitate to ask. You can get my number from anyone in the office
Thank you that means a lot. And same goes for you feel free to reach out anytime. You can get mine from them or reach out on Facebook and I’ll send it over
Great video. Crazy how it all manages to squeeze on there. Best of luck. Keep the content coming! Be safe out there.
Thank you I definitely will. Now that I’m in a 75ft again some of these loads surprise me that they fit lol
I see a lot of car haulers running 14 feet out of Michigan. Don’t know how they do it but they do it
Glad to see you back on the road. I like the orange and white truck despite the salt bath haha. I hope it all works out for you, thank you!
Yes I love the colors. Now as for the salt I could do without that lol. But it’s all washed off by now
I ran trucks on my bubble top all the time, it is a little tall but using trucker path and garmin to make sure there’s no low bridges does the trick 👍
Yea if I get more truck loads I’ll play around. I’m sure I can hard strap and get low but I didn’t wanna waist extra time when I was already trying to figure the truck out lol. Next time I will tho
Hopefully you are alot happier at this company
I’m really loving it here
I run 14 out of michigan often!
Keepin' them wheels rollin! Lookin good carhaul brother😊love your videos
I’m trying my best to keep them rolling lol. And thank you for that
Can you go into detail as why you left URS ? What change ????
I could but I won’t. I would never bash a company because I wasn’t happy. I’m sure other ppl will over Facebook if they aren’t happy but that’s just not me. The direction they’re taking the company and the way I like to run with the type of money I want to make just we’re no longer gonna go down the same path. "We are same same, but different!"
Looks like you left URS at the perfect time. Saw they laid off a bunch of drivers.
Yea I’ve been getting the phone calls about it I hate that that’s happening
As a car carrier , did u ever encounter thieves when moving towards ur destination or away from the shipper fully loaded with 🚗 ??
So me personally no I’ve never had to deal with them. But I know plenty of ppl that have over the years.
Oh if they gave me 6 trucks I could put them on this truck. But congrats on your retirement I hope you are enjoying it.
👍 way to go Matt!
Thank you sir

@@CarcarrierTv awesome thanks for the tips. Ill be working with a 8 car cottrell

You could have done it in the V style and hard tire it to the frame and you’ll get it down to 13’10
I’ll have to give that a try next time thank you
I guess I kind of jumped the gun I meant to ask if you get paid by the unit or if you're a company driver I'm curious how you get to your revenue
Both is how I get paid. I’m a company driver but we’re paid on a percent of what the load pays
Congratulations man.Hate to see you left united i thought it was good maybe it upset you when they gave you a week off.
The week off didn’t help but I was already pretty much gone by time that happened. There was a ton of changes that made it so I made less money and had to work an extra day every week. Yes they do run down that way
@@CarcarrierTv cool thx. Will keep them in mind.
Nice see your work making money what you thin anout that sleep cab how sleepy in cab there
I’m loving the truck so it’s good for me
Your dad works there, too?
Yes he came over the same week I did
@CarcarrierTv OK, cool. Got some buddies that's been there for over a year now
@millionmile240 that’s awesome I’d assume they are loving it as well
@@CarcarrierTv YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it away I can contact you
Yes through email my email is in the description of every video
Holy fuck I guess I need to quit too😂!!
I’m not saying anyone needs to make a change. Just do what’s gonna make you happy at the end of the day.
how abt an income vid ?
Unlike United they don’t want those numbers out there so all I can say is it’s better then what I was making
👏🏼
How much do you get paid for digging cars out of the snow and walking 4 hours in the cold lol.
30% of the load
@@CarcarrierTv if your say +30% of what the load paid good deal. I get $10 per car extra for auction cars it took two years of battle to get that. Some places get the cars pulled for you thats the best deal imo.
@Alan-pk4qu oh for auction cars yes we can pull them ourselves for $7 I think but most auctions they have car pullers for us
Hey man I know loading car for a while I'm selling my truck 3 years ago I want to go back driving what company you recommended
So I can’t really recommend one single company because car hauling isn’t like most forms of trucking. I would say find the company that has the work in your area that runs the way you want to run. I could recommend a company like Waddle but if you live on the west coast they won’t work for you.
