Already know which unit you want to Stellar first? Mine was Terry. Generally, units like Terry and Aldo excel because their super moves combo easily. First super move synergizes with the second, which synergizes with the third, which synergizes with the first ad infinitum. (As you explained in the video. I'm writing this while watching.) I'm looking forward to testing Terry out in a F2P Earth team with AS Cerrine and/or Galliard. Also, I like to run casual 1v1 fights in this mode, because some dialogue is hidden behind pairing the correct units, e.g. B. Jenet and Amy. It's a full-on voiceover easter egg hunt! :)
I had 10 starcharts, and just need to collect the two from running the dungeon over and over, so I should be able to awaken all four soon. I went ahead and did Kula first, only because I happened to have her on my team. I'm levelling Lokido's manifest and figured Kula could get a little xp towards 81+ while doing so. I think Terry and Kyo are the "best" two to awaken first, but I figure once I have all four I can do one of those "should you awaken" series for them. :)
Thanks for this video, it is very helpful. I had to rewind it a few times, but once I saw how you bounced back and forth with Riica's combos, then I got it. I wish I could use Amy (she's seems to fit the KoF theme well), but I'm not good at using her. During the Hunting Phase, if I didn't find at least one gold Max Mode Extend core and 2 more bronze or silver MME's, then I would just rehunt until I got that setup. It honestly doesn't take that long to rehunt, thanks to the time limit. MME's were the most useful cores for me. I also kept forgetting to refresh some of the cores between rounds with the machine, that helps too. I have a slightly different control config than you, so before executing the combo or super special, I would write it down, practice it in my head, and then execute it. Ex: For Cyrus Super Special combo, I wrote down 5, 5, 5, 4, 3, 3, 4, 2. If I have time, I'll use the combos you suggested. But if not, at least I got the special move in.
I used Aldo the first time during the symphony. I saw a lot of people who were having difficulty with the combos, and noticed Riica's was really, really easy, so I figured I'd showcase hers. Hopefully once people get the hang of this, they'll branch out and use the other characters more. I hope this video serves as a starting point, not a "this is the best way" video. i prefer Aldo for first turn, because he can charge the gauge faster than others
