I wish I could join you guys. That trip is on my bucket list. All your videos have been great! Travel safe and look forward to the videos when you return with your wife.
Not actually neoprene, but Christine did get some riding leggings. And tried those out on lake George. That video goes up next week. While this may be TMI. I use the Duluth trading company armachillo bullpen under my trunks when riding. I never have any issues with that setup. We don't have to worry about the cold water quite as much as you do. So it's more just about preventing chafing.
Thanks. It's not quite as easy as just rideing 55 miles. While we were over on the island, a number of skis had issues. A few even sank. It's not a very big island, and it's difficult to get parts or service. Best to be prepared for anything.
Thanks for the list! Im using your link for the battery jump box. (Ive got one but dont like it) BTW. The Yellow long nose pliers are not available on Amazon anymore.
Thanks for the support and heads up. Even by the time that I made the list, half the things were not available anymore. I've linked to the closest semblance that I could find. I really like those pliers, because they are stainless steel. I'll find something similar to update the link.
The problem with the SeaDoo's is access to the hose that needs pinching off. Most times you will need tools to remove the hatch just to get to it. Better to familiarize yourself beforehand instead of trying to figure it out on the water. Great thing about the pinch plier method is you have it for another in need and not just yourself.
TMI? Ha ha. No. Yeah, we got a bit of cold water here. Ha ha would love to put my ski in the waters of Florida. But I think that would be a long way to trailer the ski. Ha ha. I used to visit Florida quite often until my sister moved to North Carolina. She used to live in Brandon Florida.

I used these ratchet straps. I put one through the back of the rack and through both eyelets on the back of the ski, being sure to angle it up towards the rack and away from the IBR system. I put the other ratchet strap on the front and through the eyelet behind the seat. This was for the 2017 SeaDoo. amzn.to/4c4qHvH

Thank you so much! It's definitely a bucket list type of item. The videos from the trip should be up on TH-cam in about 3 weeks.
I don’t want to miss your Bimini trip at all. I’m super interested to see how it goes for you guys!
Thank you. Should have that video up on TH-cam in about 3 weeks. Can't wait!
AWESOME
Did you guys end up getting some neoprene riding shorts?
Not actually neoprene, but Christine did get some riding leggings. And tried those out on lake George. That video goes up next week. While this may be TMI. I use the Duluth trading company armachillo bullpen under my trunks when riding. I never have any issues with that setup.

That’s a lot of equipment!! We’re learning a ton!
Great solo video, Lew!

Here is a similar product to the pliers. amzn.to/3yLlNpr

Very good point. I do like that on the older model, 2017, no tools required. I'm not a big fan of the plate BRP put under the seat in the newer ones.

The knife is also good for self defense since concealed carry is a no-go in the Bahamas
Very true
You can carry onboard...just declare it and ammo when you check in.
How do you hold the rack down to your ski?
I used these ratchet straps. I put one through the back of the rack and through both eyelets on the back of the ski, being sure to angle it up towards the rack and away from the IBR system. Ha ha! I have the Sea-Doo fenders! Yeah, they are ridiculously expensive. And you’re right they do not protect the bow of the ski.
Lol, thanks for confirming. I don't have the experience with them they just never made sense to me.
I quit carrying fenders altogether. Docks are barely constructed for boats, much less jet skis. You are going to get banged up regardless.
@@rickss69 true. Sometimes you just have to grit your teeth and bear it.
You don’t did your homework. Thank you for doing this video
