Aw I feel you girl. That’s how I was too and one of the reasons I decided to go natural. I explained before I came in my scalp is very sensitive to relaxers and that’s why she saturated my hair with the base.

@@nthabilu have you thought about textlax? I think that’s what it is. It’s hard I do wish my hair was longer and my edges were fuller but it’s a journey still.
Your new hair style looks lovely and suits you. However society has thought us that straight hair equates to healthy hair... which isn’t the truth. I think the negative comments in this video comes from you saying that your natural texture was not healthy. Relaxing your damaged hair will not make it miraculously healthy. It is possible to have healthy relaxed hair. However you need to start off with a good base.
Yeah. Just because it's straight does not make it healthy. I'm sure that she can now take care of her relaxed hair and it will grow better. Honestly tho, that cut was what her natural hair needed too.
it may not be healthier but it looks healthier and some people, the issue is the look. as she said before, she would wear wigs before she left but now she does not have to.
I think what makes me sad about these kinds of videos is that with most of them you can tell that they never learned how to properly care for their natural hair. It usually looks dry and damaged before the relaxer.
Its actually really stressful my 4c hair was just too strong and i had a very sensitive scalp ..so i always cried when i was combing making or taking out weaves .. It was bad .. I couldnt take the pain anymore .. It looked healthy but it hurts
Sally Jimoh how did you deep condition ? I have 4c hair as well and thats how it was for me until I found what made my hair soft. Now its easy to detangle.
@@kenyatte1020 Are your strands fine or course. A lot of people with 4c hair on youtube have fine hair and they always seem to have an easier time combing and moisturizing their hair than I ever have. If your hair is medium/ coarse what products do you use? Give a girl some tips!

I’m not gone lie.. my heart dropped a little when I seen you really, like fr fr, relaxing your hair!! I was like NNNOOOOO!!!!! But I still love you, I love it and you are KILLING that cut! 😍
I love seeing how evolved and mature women are! It's nice af to see that people support others decision, regardless of if your natural or relaxed, or even texlaxed. I see y'all in the comments! 💙
I love it!!!!!!! I am natural, but I recently cut it low. I was scared at first, but I got so many compliments!!! So I decided that I will just keep it low and get my hair cut and edged up every few months by my fantastic barber!! I love his work and he is a great barber!! Love you Toni!!!!
I will start by admitting that this haircut suits you very well :) However from what I saw on the video, your natural hair seemed like a 4b texture, which is manageable and very easy to take care of when the right regimen is used. Toni, getting your hair relaxed when it was literally falling down was not a very good idea as in a few days you’ll start realizing how weak your hair has become. Also, you could have gone for a deep treatment and silk wrap + shape/cut... and asked for counseling on products that could help your hair be less brittle. When hair is weak and brittle, it needs to breathe and be moisturized....Your NATURAL hair was not the problem; but your hair care practices were the problem.... Anyways, it’s your hair, and you do as you wish; however, I hope you realize that you can take of care your hair in its natural state without having to relax or texturize it (that won’t make it healthier; it will actually aggravate the dryness and dullness.)
Hi ! Thanks for being respectful with your opinion. However my hair isn’t 4B hair at all. I did do a deep treatment, just didn’t record it and the cut got rid of the dry ends and chunks of hair that’s falling off. I do realize my hair care practices played a role in my natural hair not being healthy. However, when I was relaxed and short in the past it was way easier for me to take care of my hair and keep it healthy. Plus honestly, I love the switch up and I can always decide to go back Natural if I want to (not in the nearest future). But it’s just hair. I’d love to wear mine in as many different styles as possible. My hair doesn’t have to be natural to be healthy big big myth. Just like you said, it’s my hair and I’d do what is best for my hair. Thanks
Toni Olaoye I see, I wish you all luck honestly and what’s important is doing what makes you the happiest 😊 Enjoy it and keep up the good work on your channel 😊
Texturizing my hair was the best thing ever. My hair just wasn’t flourishing being natural this third time round so I gave up. Your hair is super cute 😄
She did this really well. When you chemically process hair, color or relaxer, you aren’t supposed to ever start at the roots or the very ends. You start in what’s called the “cold zone” which is mid shaft (which is what this woman did). The roots are closest to your body which generates heat. The ends are the oldest which could break. When relaxing from here forward, you only need to put it on your roots. Also, be sure to add the necessary protein and moisture. If your hair was pretty much cracking off prior to the relaxer it can start again after the relaxer.
Agreed! When not in a protective style my hair is short too and I ALWAYS go to the barber. They take their time and do what you ask. I usually find that salons do not want to shave my hair. They leave this random length at the back and sides that seems to grow at a different rate to the rest of my hair and never looks good or lays flat after leaving
Yesssssssssss. Bittttchhhhh!. That hair is on fleek.. Youuuu look good love. . By far. This the best pixie I have seen. ..im about to get a wig like that. Thanks for the video
The outcome is soo pretty however speaking from experience it gets annoying because it’s not easy to style a cut everyday. Some days your hair will not want to sit or lay flat and that means constant heat, mousse and styling. Just take care of it realll good and you’ll be fine.
I just got my pixie cut as well. It feels soo good especially this summer season. I tried to stay natural for about 2 yrs. I tell u it wasn't easy and not for every hair texture. My hair is soo coarse and difficult to manage.
Natural seven years. I relaxed my hair a week ago. I had so much fun. I am having much more styling. I ran like the road runner to TJ maxx got a couple CHI iron and a some hair product. What I have decided to do now is go with one brand of hair products for all my care needs. I am going with living proof wash and conditioners etc. For my relaxers I am went with silk elements. I would encourage you to try sticking to one product line as much as possible. You will definitely see the rewards.
I'm just gonna be honest with ya'll she thinks it looks healthy but it's not its completely damaged. As a stylist this is the part I don't like to do relax, texturize (basically the same thing) on damage hair. Hell I don't even like to put color in it. She and I would have a serious talk and I would have nurse that hair back to health before applying anything to it. I would have gave a safe protective style before applying a creamy crack to her head. Yes it's her hair but as a stylist I care more about your hair health that's my job. I couldn't be fake and just take the money. She'd probably would have vamos on me but he'll at least I'd be up front and give her the real real!!
Your hair is freaking gorgeous!!! I’ve been wanting to cut my hair for the longest time. And you won’t believe how sick of natural hair I am. Girl you just gave me my inspiration
I relaxed and cut mine last October and I'm still loving it. I haven't worn a wig since october. Although I still love wigs, it feels good just rocking my short cut:)
🙌🏽 You look great! No need to explain your choices! Some women in the black community really look down at those with relaxed hair and there’s no need for it! It is possible to have healthy relaxed hair. I’m currently transitioning after having my hair relaxed for 14 years. Seeing how this goes !
I literally have the same type of hair and color as Toni, except mine is thicker. I use to have the same breakage issue and it never growing. I'm not gonna lie I've been through so much with my hair, I've cut it so many times because of how sensitive it is to heat and any chemicals like hair dye. I'm a year and half in with my natural hair journey and it has grown so much. No heat, no hair dye or chemicals has helped my hair so much. I wear wigs and braids for protection. With that being said I understand her choice.

FeFe A and she had the nerve to like this dumb shit. Yes we all know we have chemicals in our environment but guess what, you can’t control that. What u can control is what put in your body. Because it’s already there, you should add to it?? So stupid
Your hair is very cute!!!! Do what works best for you! It’s your hair and you decide what to do with it! I’m relaxed and touch up every 6 months to help keep up the thickness and health. Deep condition every wash (I just use a really moisturizing conditioner and leave it in longer) about Month 3 I’ll do protective styles, flat twists, cornrows, individuals or like wha to have in now cornrows in the front individuals in the back. Which usually last 2-3 months To get me to my 6 months.
I see my comment has stirred up some stuff, so let me address it... For those that are natural and love it, then love it! For those that don't and prefer to get your hair straightened, then do it! I don't feel ashamed, nor lack of my ethnicity, because I perm'd my sh#t! People don't need anybody's permission to do what they want with their own sh#t, bottom line!!! Wow !!!she did a great job and the style really suits you
Your new hair style looks lovely and suits you.
Sophie M 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Dionne course asf🙄 I use tgin shampoo. Cholesterol Olive Oil deep conditioner, leave it in for about 2 hours everytime after I wash. African pride leave in, african shea butter, and jamican black castor oil. I wash in sections and finger detangle in teh shower while the water running on it
gigglyfitzgirl lol so what? You don't have to learn how to take care of your natural hair to relax it
I swear you made me go natural two years go and when 1st Jan started i relaxed my hair, just to try something different. Now you've also done it!!! Wow!!those tutorial better come through🙏🏽🧡
I'm going through the same thing with my hair and I'm considering going back to relaxed. Thank you for sharing this. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one.
Yay team relaxed! Your hair looks way more manageable and effortless. The hair cut fits you.
Beautiful.. this style definitely enhances your beauty. Good for you for doing what's best for you. I'm at the point where I'm considering changing my hair. Natural hair is hard work and I'm getting tired of wigs and wearing a scarf on my head. I'm inspired.
It saddens me to see people go back to being relaxed but I know that natural hair is literally a handful. You’re a gorgeous woman either way ❤️
Her life her hair end of story it looks healthy and bomb love slay all day 😍❤️🥰
I’m not gone lie.. my heart dropped a little when I seen you really, like fr fr, relaxing your hair!! I was like NNNOOOOO!!!!! But I still love you, I love it and you are KILLING that cut! 😍
Thanks love !
Even the stylist was happy for you. It’s 2019 and like you said. You doing it for you 💕 ❤️
lol yup ! Thanks dear
That short hairstyle is absolutely phenomenally out of this world. You look smashing
Who puts "👍" before watching the video? Cause i did🤣
Lool thanks love 😭😭💙💙
I did too lol
I love seeing how evolved and mature women are! It's nice af to see that people support others decision, regardless of if your natural or relaxed, or even texlaxed. I see y'all in the comments! 💙
I relaxed my hair last week too 😂 glad to see that I’m not alone now ❤️
You won't be as soon as my grow as out im perming or relaxing mine
Just permed mine after about 10 years natural. Cut it off rocking a cute short cut. HAPPY💃💃💃💃💃
I am relaxing mine tomorrow. I came to youtube for motivation
Your hair came out absolutely GORG!!!!!
If you like it I LOVE it.
I'm full pro-natural but you look great.
Thank God you went to a pro, it looks well done and healthy.
Thanks hun!
Army??
@@elisabethbalde7774 Is it too obvious? 😂
@@RedFlyingFox007 lol with your profile picture yes! Love meeting my fellow armys like literally everywhere!
This cut is soooooo Cute!!! Girl you got me over here wanting to give back into relaxer and cut it up!!! So beautiful!
I'm texlax best decision I ever made for MY HAIR you look great girly
I love it!!!!!!! I am natural, but I recently cut it low. I was scared at first, but I got so many compliments!!! So I decided that I will just keep it low and get my hair cut and edged up every few months by my fantastic barber!! I love his work and he is a great barber!!
Love you Toni!!!!
I will start by admitting that this haircut suits you very well :)
However from what I saw on the video, your natural hair seemed like a 4b texture, which is manageable and very easy to take care of when the right regimen is used.
Thanks
I agree with you. Its all about management.
Agreed. I nearly fell out of my chair when they relaxed after her hair was literally falling out. Best of luck!
Toni Olaoye I see, I wish you all luck honestly and what’s important is doing what makes you the happiest 😊 Enjoy it and keep up the good work on your channel 😊
@Egg _ Lol sweetheart I'm 30 years old. I would have no problem saying this to anyone's face. All facts and HELPFUL information. Have a seat.
It's gorgeous!!! Damn!!! It looks like a wig! The lady is a pro!!!
Absolutely Gorgeous. The hair stylist did a great job, really suits you
Texturizing my hair was the best thing ever. My hair just wasn’t flourishing being natural this third time round so I gave up. Your hair is super cute 😄
Omgggggggg you're making me wanna relax again. I LOVE this look on you so much 😍😍
She did this really well.
It looks good. Just a little trick for the back when l cut my hair like this l go to the barbershop they cut it better in the back in my opinion.
Never thought of that. Thanks for the tip hun !
You look so happy and beautiful!! You do what makes you happy because at the end of the day that’s what matters!!
Random: If they do a family matters reboot you should be casted as Laura. Gorgeous! ❤️❤️❤️
Yesssssssssss. Bittttchhhhh!.
That hair is on fleek..
Youuuu look good love. .
By far. This the best pixie I have seen. ..im about to get a wig like that. Thanks for the video
I love the short hair, this summer will be for the short hair girls 💕
Thanks hun! Ayy !
Agreed. I've seen a lot of girls cut their hair these past couple of months.
Cute cut! That was my signature cut before I let it grow out. When I get tired of big hair I'm going right back to that cut
The outcome is soo pretty however speaking from experience it gets annoying because it’s not easy to style a cut everyday. Some days your hair will not want to sit or lay flat and that means constant heat, mousse and styling. Just take care of it realll good and you’ll be fine.
Thanks love !
I just got my pixie cut as well. It feels soo good especially this summer season. I tried to stay natural for about 2 yrs. I tell u it wasn't easy and not for every hair texture. My hair is soo coarse and difficult to manage.
The style suits your face well. Natural or relaxed hair as long as it’s healthy and you take care of it.
Thanks!
Your hair stylist deserves some accolades, she did a great job and you look so gorgeous sis 😍😍
omg you look like jennifer hudson, that cut is sO PRETTY!!!!!! Make sure you love on your hair as much as possible to keep it healthy!
Thanks love I will
Natural seven years.
Never been this early🙌🏾. You look gorgeous😍😍
yes gurl u look Poppin!!! That cut is bomb!!
This looks soooo good, don’t no one wanna keep putting edge control every 5 mins....😆 just cuz it’s relaxed doesn’t mean it’s not healthy...
I love it! Your hair your choice...natural or relaxed...do what works for you and makes you feel happy❤❤❤
Well, most of it has been cut. Seems like this should be a good starting point if its damaged.
I agree completely and I'm not a hair stylist.
soooo true.
you are paid to do as the client tells you. You are not paid to give lectures. Just do the the bloody hair or give the client back their money.
You patronize your customers and thats not right.
Your hair is freaking gorgeous!!! I’ve been wanting to cut my hair for the longest time. And you won’t believe how sick of natural hair I am. Girl you just gave me my inspiration
You look absolutely gorgeous.. Your hair is healthier and your happy.. So thats all that matters..
I relaxed and cut mine last October and I'm still loving it. I haven't worn a wig since october. Although I still love wigs, it feels good just rocking my short cut:)
Your hair looks beautiful😻!!!!! oh my gosh you should do FINGER WAVES next 😍🔥🔥🔥!!!!
bádbitty . b Yes to the finger waves!!
🙌🏽 You look great! No need to explain your choices! Some women in the black community really look down at those with relaxed hair and there’s no need for it! It is possible to have healthy relaxed hair. I’m currently transitioning after having my hair relaxed for 14 years. Seeing how this goes !
I love how happy u look wit this style good shit Sis u keep smiling beautiful 🖤
Thanks hun !!! 💙💙💙💙💙
Your whole look is Fabulous!!! Your make up is Beaming. Do you have a tutorial?? I'm going to search, if not Please do one for this very look. 🙏💯💯
She killed ur hair girl. 😍😍😍😩 looks bomb!!!
Wow, you relaxed and I love it! Do you hon. I love the results. You are gorg!!!
Your cut is BOMB !! I relaxed my hair after 8 years of my natural journey and uploaded me relaxing my hair as well, I truly understand. Your hair is beautiful either way ❤️
I'm loving the new look
Thanks hun
Me too this style fits her !! I love it
Welcome to the natural to relaxed club! I got a lot of support but also some trolls. You have a lot of followers so I can imagine the comments you’ll receive 😩 all the best!
The hairdo suits you. Do you boo bcuz I'mma do me! Okurrr!
Okurrrrrr
You look gorgeous girl. This really suits you. I can't wait to relax mine on Wednesday. It's just hair, I can't keep pampering my hair like a baby when I have 2 babies to take care of. Your hair, your choice.
A perm on already damaged hair😶
Hopefully the cut will address that issue.
You don't have to explain a thing....this hair cut is GORGEOUS on you and your face shape
Yesss come thru wid da pixie cut.. It's cute ❤❤
Girl you don't have to explain. Rock your relaxed hair. The cut looks great on you
Yass Toni.. oh wait what’s a wig again??? Your hair is everything 😻
I can hear and feel your happiness! Beautiful, relaxed or natural!
Oooohhhh no. Relaxer? Being a natural for 5 yrs I'm like nooo! Lol. Hey girl, you gotta do what you have to. Love your hair.
First of all your hair looks bomb weather natural of relaxed as long as you are happy with you then sis all is good. LOVE THE HAIR THO!! :)
Short hair gang
You look good
Short hair Is so bomb no doubt it’s just annoying cos you can never style at home as good as your stylist so always have to go back and pay 💰 lol😭😭😭😭
I had mine for 4 years had to retouch it too. Natural hair isn’t for everyone. Now I’m enjoying it like mad. Short hair is bae
Chile please; you don't have to explain sh#t to nobody... I'm so over "the natural hair movement;" I just slapped a perm in my hair yesterday 😅!Whats hilarious is that "the natural hair look," doesn't look good on everybody, but they wear it like it does 😂! People kill me with the chemical damage scare... Hell, your food, water, medications, air you breathe and recreational vices have chemicals; I guess they forget about that little detail when pushing the movement 😆!
Lol I’m all for relaxed hair I’ve switched back and forth for the past few years because it’s just bloody hair...however how can can you say the hair that comes out of their head naturally doesn’t look good on them that i don’t agree with
How does someone hair that's God given, that grows from their scalp doesn't look good on them smdh???? I'm all for doing whatever you want with your hair but saying that is self hating. I love changing up my look constantly. I refuse to down someone's natural hair ijs.🤷🏿♀️
Stupid ass
U are so right
I look like a scarecrow in my natural hair
I will perm and do pixie cut soon
My opinion will not change, so if you want to keep arguing, Let's Get It!!! I'm furloughed - I got nothing but time🤣😂!
It looks so good. the style really suite you. You have motivated me to texturize my hair.
I love it. Your hair looks beautiful
