I just rewatched your zoom with Rick Beato from 3 yrs ago. When you said "My wife calls me blabbermouth," I fell out 😂 just like I did the 1st go round.
When it's quiet & I have time to myself, your videos are a favorite way to pass time. I inevitably learn something I didn’t know and get to see a venue from a perspective I'd never have.
What a great idea you had 3 yrs ago to start this. Look where its taken you AND us.
~Saying I'm grateful doesn’t seem to cut it. It's more than that. ☯️☮️

What is the "X" on the piano for? How can a door that says "Good vibes only" be locked? Have you ever gone through a door that caused an alarm to go off? So many questions :) Loved the prop room. Thanks so much for showing us around.

Hi Lee. I remember this venue from last year and it is a big place wth heaps of stairs and a great place to hide. Love the way Lee you freely give time to others and all of us. Every time I hear you say “I am in the band” is a Blues Brothers moment for me. Enjoy the gig and keep on keeping on. What an atmosphere from the stage it would have.🖐🙏

Gonna throw this out there because I have simple moments..
Did anyone else find this to be a spooky tour? The cheery, cherry on top was 'Frankenstein Symphony '. What is that? An ode to a monster or concert using a 4-string one- of-a-kind electric bass?
It had a great light moment, we met Winston. Thanks❤👍❤👍

The Woodruff Arts Center seems to be the home of The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, it is nice for both an art and facility to support each other so strongly.
What good way to salute an orchestra by individual photographs of each musician. These venues are astounding in their height and capacity. I show my age by being awe struck they are not a singularity, but rather a pattern.
Leland’s wanderings are how many photojournalists do their work, Henri Cartier-Bresson could describe a ‘decisive moment’ as a search matched with opportunity.
I will confess the ‘prop room’ looks almost like my room. ☮

Woodruff Arts Center is a visual and performing arts center located in Atlanta, Georgia. The center houses three not-for-profit arts divisions on one campus. Opened in 1968, the Woodruff Arts Center is home to the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the High Museum of Art.

    • @Mark_Brooks
      @Mark_Brooks ปีที่แล้ว

In 1962, Atlanta suffered an unprecedented loss when an airplane, the Chateau de Sully, carrying the leaders of Atlanta’s arts and civic community, crashed at Orly Airport in Paris. As the city grieved, it came together and used the devastating loss as a catalyst for the arts and built a fitting memorial to these victims. This led to the creation of the Atlanta Arts Alliance.
The Memorial Arts Center, as the Woodruff was originally known, opened October 5, 1968. The building was designed by Atlanta architect, Joe Amisano. It was renamed the Woodruff Arts Center in 1982 to honor its greatest benefactor, Robert W. Woodruff. The art center also included the Atlanta College of Art, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the High Museum of Art. All three entities were combined into one corporation. The Alliance Theatre was added in 1970 as the fourth division of the Woodruff and 35 years later in 2005, a fifth division was added when Young Audiences joined the center. This addition ensures that the Woodruff’s PreK-12 programs now reach more than one million children annually,[citation needed] the largest base of any arts center in the country.[citation needed]
The Woodruff campus expanded in 1983 with the addition of the Richard Meier-designed High Museum of Art building. This building made Meier the youngest Pritzker Prize-winning architect at that time.

We believe that the arts have the power to transform lives - we’ve seen it firsthand thousands of times. The arts expand our horizons, create empathy, and teach us how to dream. They provide a voice to the human experience. Above all, the arts connect us to one another.
For more than half a century, the Woodruff Arts Center has been a place where our community can experience the power of art.
