That is too bad. Never know what will happen with any medications. It took me years before I would get a flu shot. Didn't get the Shingle injections until after I got Shingles. That was an awful experience. I also had Covid in 2020 and took the Monoclonal infusion. It was a risk but I was lucky and did not have side effects,. It did helped me with the recovery within two days. But I will not get the jab on these "diseases/infections" that are coming out of the woodwork nowadays!

If another pandemic hits I’m sitting this one out. I worked the C ICU. It was terrible. Almost everyone that worked that unit has left nursing. It was my second pandemic working ICU. No more. I’m done with it.

Many of us medical professionals that refused to comply either were harassed, punished, or fired. I worked all through PLANdemic preggers with twins, was a horrible stressful pregnancy, was our first and often feel like I was robbed a happy pregnancy because of the nonsense that went on. I was tortured with masks and pressure to jab, ended up in pre-term labor and thank god they didnt pop out til 36 weeks. I'm so sorry you had to go through that, the stories that we heard coming from the hospitals was horrific. My uncle was force jabbed at his hospital and they made him sign basically an NDA type paper that says he "volunteered"when he didnt, under threat of job. He takes care of my aunt so he had little choice, but he was afraid. We have to pray for those that were lied to, forced to, and to all the innocent kids damaged.

I have just discovered Banquet Homestyle Bakes. They are a complete meal including meat in a box. Just add water. They have several flavors and are found on the shelf near the hamburger helper.

I just bought Freshe’ canned tuna meals and since they were expensive i bought one of each to try. They are amazing! I am now mixing one can of Freshe’ tuna meal with two packets of plain tuna from the Dollar tree. That provides two nice sized tuna meals with lots of protein. It’s not the cheapest meal but the added in ingredients and oil make a very satisfying meal.🙂

I'm from those areas. It's ridiculous. There are plenty of bats as well that eat mosquitoes. Also, there are ways to protect yourself from being bit by mosquitoes.

MPOX is in same family as chicken pox and shingles.
You can call it monkey pox...monkeys are not offended by the name.
So...if I've had chicken pox and am vaccinated (with an adverse reaction, but I still did it) for shingles I should be fine.

The Mpox has not yet gained a foothold in the U.S. Don't know if it will. There are lots of disease outbreaks in Asia or Africa that never reach epidemic levels in the U.S.
But I do like to be prepared for whatever may happen next. Yesterday, I ordered some more N95 face masks to add to my pandemic supplies because those sell out fast when enough people become concerned about a contagious illness for which there is no vaccine
Mpox mainly transmit by skin to skin or item to skin. Need to get some gloves!
Just to be safe and prepared, I am beefing up my gloves and masks supply left over from 2000. I’m not going to get the purple colored gloves again because that color attracted a lot of attention last time. My goal is always to fly under the radar when everyone around me is stressed out. Nobody seems to be panic buying right now, so this is a great time to stock up on sanitation supplies like Lysol spray and wipes.
Might as well buy a hazmat suit while you're at it. 🤪

They tried this one last year. The problem was they didn't want it getting out how it was spreading and they nixed it.
They had one single chance; the "Big One" in 2020. But that fell through, and now they're scrambling to try anything at all that will work, because the longer they take, the less things are going to work on us little, insignificant plebeians. Where once it took weeks, months for information to get out, now it takes a day or less . . . and it takes them _longer_ to come up with something else.
Everything they've done the past few years has been one giant sign of pure, unadulterated desperation, because nothing is working anymore, and more people than ever before are completely and fully aware of everything that is going on.
I'm sure they'll try and bring it back because they literally just cant come up with anything else. But remember; they would never release something thats _actually_ dangerous, because that would mean putting themselves in harms way, and their hubris wont allow that.
According to the man that died in 2012. He predicted trumps ear being shot, an economic collapse in 2025 and a pandemic that is actually bad in 2025. Which makes sense to me. Get the logical people to think the next virus is nothing. And it turns out worse.
Just one possibility, not necessarily even with monkey pox. Something I’ve been thinking could happen since the first one.

Your article on DRC made me do some checking. According to WHO data the occurrence of malaria in DRC is 222 per 1,000 population. I would like to see the infection rate for mpox.
I would like to see that, too. From what I just read on the CDC site, it averages 7 cases per week. Case counts include those who tested positive for either mpox virus or orthopoxvirus which includes the cowpox, smallpox, and monkeypox viruses.
I'm not having any social interactions. That''s it. Don't bother with restaurants if it spreads through the air. Nobody wears a mask to keep you safe and no one is going to even if it is required. They will wear one as a drool napkin down around their chins or as a party hat on top of their head.
Soaps are always a good idea as is TP anytime. Washing your hands and not stepping in bodily fluids are also great ideas anytime. Since this spreads through sexual contact and intimate contact, I'm safe. This also reminds me of the AIDS crisis since that was also through sexual contact. If you're going to engage in close contact, know (and I mean really know) who your contact is and who else they have contact with. It's a bit invasive if the government gets involved in who's in your pants if you ask me. Going to coffee shops, ok that's fine. Going to church, that's fine. When it's intimate private contact that they wish to regulate, it's too much.
Old fashioned manners might make a comeback. If you want to date someone, you might have to wait a couple of times before you get a kiss (at least 4 days which is the incubation period), let alone before hopping into bed on the first date. Trying to get a date by walking your dog and getting the cute factor will probably not work anymore either, you won't be able to hook a potential mate with your dog and how good you are as a pet parent. This means potentially the end of the one night stand.
I'm not getting "vaccinated" with an experimental vaccine for something that I won't be getting or exposed to. Just wait for ebola. It's still out there, and deadly.
I am Covid vaxxed and grateful for that. It seems to me that MPox is a lifestyle choice risk. I don't take that risk, so I don't need a vaccine.
Well, masks don't work unless they are personally fitted n95 masks that has been proven. The jab has also harmed many ppl and it doesn't even slow the spread. My aunt was permanently disabled from it so I know from personal experience. How about wash your hands and stay home if you feel it is necessary. I won't live in fear, and I won't put up with more government overreach bullsh*t.

Yep Prep fir sure Lots are short in funds, I k own. But we can do it. Set $5. - $10. aside just for thst. That's how I do it, Beans n Rice, Soups, Stews Package goods. Water is a must. Wash out you Pop Bottles to use for Dry Goods Storing dry goods and water.

Pretty much all slightly older people (born before 1980) already had the jab.
We all have the smallpox scar on or under our arms too! 1963 here.
Back in the day when I was in school, all us school kids were vaccinated for everything, including smallpox and chickenpox. We have that smallpox scar on our arms to prove it. A lot of us over 50 have also taken the shingles vaccine. Hope that will help to protect us from Monkeypox because I don’t want to take any more newly engineered vaccines.
