Don Johns Music and Just A Spark Films present...On My Last Breath-Full Movie.

Before I made "Do No Harm," (Available on Amazon) www.amazon.com... my first feature film, there were a few short films I did in getting ready to attempt a full length feature film. If you think about it, a short film is no different than a feature film, it just has fewer scenes.
On My Last Breath was my very first short film, if you don't include all the crazy 8mm files I did before that, I think you could safely say this was my first real serious film I made. I'm posting it now because I made it right before my birthday! This year I will be officially old! I can't believe I made this film 17 years ago! I was so thrilled to finally be making something that I had been dreaming about my whole life. To give you an idea of how excited I was, it was so cold that night (14 degrees) and the guys were so cold, but I was so pumped, I wasn't even aware of the cold. I still can't get over that I had no gloves and I was just in my element. I am very proud of this little film and it did really well in the Charlotte film festival, my first film festival! What I liked the most was the Q and A afterwards and people coming up to me and telling me how much they enjoyed the film. What's insane about this is this was one of a very few high definition films that were in that film festival and it was only 720! I only had the one 8 gig card, which only gave me 21 minutes of film time, so I was afraid that if we shot 1080, (only 8 minutes of film time) We might not get it done. It's hard enough getting people together for one night, I didn't want to risk filming a second night and no one show up. Another funny fact. The guys in the opening left because of the cold, so I actually used this guy who was there to help me with the film! He is in both shots, one you see his face, the other you see the back of his head so you wouldn't know it was the same guy! I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it.
