Proud to be a part of Hingane clan. After the end of the war, only representative of maratha empire sardar (commander) Bapuji Hingane stood in Red fort with traditional attire and with pride for treaty with ahmed shah Abdali. And took respectable deal. After couple of years Marathas bounce back to north as I mentioned in the starting line..

Internal politics was major reason
The letters for supplies and help sent by marathas from panipat were dumped by raghunath rao and his wife so army backup and supplies were not sent on time and there are plenty of other reasons
Actually its a battle which will teach Indians even today about how unity can save us and internal mishap can torn us apart...

Shivaji maharaj was not a king from birth, he created his empire on own through guerilla warfare, and which eventually defeated mughal.
Even the cruel Aurangzeb died near Aurangabad ,Maharashtra and his wife too...Mughal a islamic dynasty was limited only to Delhi that too by giving chauth and Sardeshmukhi to maratha.
We even defeated Afghan to occupy Attock (pak Afghan border) , and even if Maratha lost but it was the main reason that abdali lost from Sikh.

During 3rd panipat war only marathas showed the courage to fight external attack on Hindustan.
There was no Hindustan at that time and Afghanistan was also a part of Akhand Bharat since the time of Emperor Ashoka The Great as he conquered Afghanistan

Marathas lost due to some mistakes but fought in adversities. Panipat is a wound for maratha that pains us even today. Rohilla and Awadh in the name of religion came together but Sikh, Jat and Rajputs did not... that's really paining. Didn't Mughal invaded/ raided Rajput/Jat? Still they fought for Mughals....why not for Marathas for Hindavi swarajya ( a vision of Shivani Maharaj)

हमारे देश के लोगो को अपने ही देश के मराठाओं का राज नही चाहते थे, अफसोस है की ये ही लोग मुगलो को टैक्स देना पसंद करते थे पर जब मराठा टैक्स लेते है तो उनको दुश्मन समजा गया
जाट महाराजा सूरजमल को दिल्ली और आसपास के क्षेत्र की परख थी और युद्ध अनुभव अच्छा था, परन्तु घमंडी प्रवर्ति और खराब कूटनीति के कारण सदाशिवराव भाऊ उनको अपने साथ लाने में असफल हुए
मतभेद के बावजूद भी महाराजा सूरजमल ने लड़ाई में हारे मराठाओ की हिफाजत की, हालांकि भाऊ ने सूरजमल से कहा कि मै अब्दाली को पराजित करने के बाद मैं तुमसे भी निपट लुंगा
इस युद्ध के बाद जब लुटे-पिटे मराठा सैनिक दयनीय हालात में लौट रहे थे तब जाट राजा ने उनके सत्कार के लिए भरतपुर किले के दरवाजे खोल दिए. उन्होंने ऐसा अहमद शाह की नाराज़गी मोल लेकर किया. यदि सूरजमल इन मराठों को आश्रय नहीं देते तो इनमें से शायद ही कोई वापिस पूना पहुंच पाता. तब करीब तीस से चालीस हजार मराठाओं की भरतपुर में डेढ़ से दो सप्ताह तक ख़ातिर की गई. उस वक़्त इस सब में जाट राजा सूरजमल के तकरीबन दस लाख रुपए खर्च हुए. सूरजमल ने विदा के वक़्त प्रत्येक मराठा सैनिक को एक रुपया नकद, एक कपड़े का टुकड़ा और एक सेर अनाज देकर ग्वालियर भिजवाने का प्रबंध करवाया.
