i have invested in both GSPX and VUSA and the main difference is that when the pound is stronger than dollar the GSPX has slightly better returns, but when the dollar goes up compared to pound VUSA is better. at the moment dollar (maybe because of election) is getting stronger so for example today GSPX was up 0.09% and VUSA was 0.33%. hope this helps
They are exactly the same, the only difference is that VUAG automatically reinvests the dividends, while VUSA leaves dividends separate. So no I wouldn’t invest in both 👍
Might be worth editing this as vanguard announced earlier in December it will be charging a small portfolio fee of £4 per month. For people investing £100 a month into this fund it’s a massive price increase.
what would be really good is if there was a S&P 100 simmilar to FTSE 100 so that the holding allocation of your funds are more concentrated in the best performing sectors, for the moment, the iShares IT fund does the job for the mag-7, but this time next year it could be health companies or automootive companies that realise the highest market capitalisation, i'm sure there will be funds that will be created specifically for those sectors if this happens, but you basically have to smell tha changing winds to eat the crowd. having too many options isn't always helpful.
Can someone tell me why does VUSA go up in pounds while SPXL goes up in pennies? For example VUSA went from 83 to 87 pounds while SPXL went from 10.80 to 11 pounds - percentage wise the same but the value was different?
Just the way the fund manages it, GBP vs Pence Sterling. Pence gives a more accurate movement of the index as its 100 times smaller than GBP. Essentially its a couple of extra decimal points.

Would make sense to invest in the VUSA and also the VUAG in the same pie? Or best to go with just the one?

Completely up to you! Performance will be very similar, but one pays dividends, so if you spend that, VUAG will outperform.

This doesn't affect anyone on Trading 212 btw, only using the Vanguard Platform
Hi Jubair, what do you make of the iShares information technology? (IITU).
I think it's too tech focused for me!

@@nax1807 nasdaq 100 is probably your best shot then
What’s the main difference between VUSA & VUAG?
VUSA pays our dividends, VUAG reinvest them.

If you mean VUSA, then yes, they do pay out dividends
@ yeah VUSA thank you for answering, I’m starting to buy s&p500 yesterday , just a bit confused in which one invest
What are your opinions of Invesco’s (SPXP)?
Pretty decent to be fair, I should have also included Investco but the video would have been too long
