    This was such an interesting part in both the show and the books.
    If I remember correctly, in the books, the dire wolves growled at Tyrion in this scene, but this was the one time they were completely off when it came to sensing bad intentions, because Tyrion had none.
    This doubt was sewn into Robb’s mind right before the red wedding, when he doubted Grey Wind’s instincts because he knew that his dire Wolf had been off with Tyrion in this scene.
    But Catlyn didn’t see this, so she didn’t have any reason to doubt the dire wolf’s instincts, and knew something was off before the red wedding because she trusted Grey Wind. Unfortunately though, it was already too late.
    Such a fascinating scene overall.

    • @mphylo2296
      @mphylo2296 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      Bran is the only Stark child who's made aware of an important facet of the Direwolves' instincts. Summer growls and bares his teeth at Jojen Reed when he begins to make Bran aware of his status as a Warg, and Bran resists his explanations angrily. Jojen recognizes that Summer is angry because Bran is angry and tells Bran that he needs to stop being angry in order for Summer to calm down and respond to his commands.
      I imagine the idea in this moment was that Grey Wind was picking up on Robb's suspicion and contempt for Tyrion, and Summer was echoing it to support his brother wolf. Of course, Robb wasn't cognizant of that and he likely would have seen Grey Wind's anger as validation of his own mistrust instead of a reflection of it.

    Are anyone here in the comments that could recognise the context of Robb? He's a kid that knows little and the only thing he knows about the Lannisters is that they came to his house, made lots of problems (tried to punish Arya fir defending herself and her friend, killing said friend, killing Lady, crippling Bran) and went away, then they come again and it's the one of them with the worse reputation, and he honestly felt bad for his lack of hospitality and respect (when proved wrong, but most wouldn't even if proven wrong), y'all being totally unfair with the young wolf 🐺

      @ratooeybusinessman6066 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Syndor12 What do you mean what does that even mean? Robb thought he was a true contender and then got handled with the greatest of ease. He couldn't handle any of the Lannisters. He couldn't match wits w Tyrion or Tywin. He lacked any tricks or decisiveness like Cercei was capable of, and Jamie would have owned him 1v1 or in a fully stacked field battle/castle siege. Lannister > Simple as.

    • @Syndor12
      @Syndor12 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ratooeybusinessman6066 "with the greatest of ease" are you kidding me? Did you have your eyes closed during the first three seasons? 😂
      Who exactly handled Robb? Firstly you're comparing a teenager to grown ass men. Secondly, pretty sure Robb had Jaime locked up in a cage sitting in his own filth. Pretty sure Robb also duped Tywin on the battlefield to the point where he had to conspire with the Frey's and Bolton's to have him killed. Robb had three victories against the Lannisters before the Red Wedding. He got the better of both Tywin and Jaime.

    • @ratooeybusinessman6066
      @ratooeybusinessman6066 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Syndor12 He ultimately accomplished absolutely nothing, died without a peep, and any losses of gold or men for Tywin were immediately recooperated. Jamie lived, Robbs mother and wife died wailing and screaming, Frey and Bolton were both handsomely rewarded. lmfao or maybe you had your eyes closed during those parts? You ever heard of winning the battle but losing the war? Tell me what lasting things Robb himself ACTUALLY accomplished. Go on.

    • @Syndor12
      @Syndor12 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ratooeybusinessman6066 I like how your entire argument changed the second you got proven wrong 😂 him capturing Jaime and repeatedly beating Tywin is proof enough that not only was he a contender, he was a threat. He was going toe to toe with Tywin while having a smaller army with less resources and still winning. He did not get handled with "the greatest of ease", the Red Wedding happened out of desperation when Tywin realised he couldn't beat Robb on the battlefield like he thought he could.
      Just because Robb died, doesn't mean he didn't accomplish all that before his death. It's Game of Thrones, everyone dies, but very few characters had the impact Robb did while they were alive.

    Such a good scene because we can see the disparity between Robb and Tyrion's political skill and experience.
