    “Giving a gift from a wounded place tends to spoil the gift“ I see that in a lot in ego driven mediumship. I remember withdrawing from training for a year because I realized that I was projecting my wounds onto the people I was working with psychically.

    Oh man, I so want people to think I'm amazing. Because then ... they'll stick around and I won't be alone.

      The beliefs we get from how our childhood played out are pretty amazing. What's even more amazing is that they can be removed and replaced!

    I love this Ivan! Thank you so much for the clarity, wisdom and engagement. I am moved by what you say about doing things from that place of ego or woundedness. We can apply your truth telling in other contexts in our lives, not just serving aya. Keep telling it Ivan!!!

    Merci Ivan,
    Talking truth about our mistakes, for me, makes me feel authentic or much more authentic. So I fell free with myself, my soul, my heart and others. My healing with at your session led me on this path among many others.
    You are a great example🙏🏼

    You have helped so many people!!!!!!!! So many people!!! And the fact that you are willing to look at your mistakes and learn from them and become better at what you do,,, is AMAZING,but this is the thing,,,
    Here’s this..
    I had a baby and he turned 9 years old..Then I had 2 more kids,,, I realized there was so much I didn’t know about being a parent the first one,,, PARENTING IS such an enormous responsibility…I saw the consequences to my mistakes,,, so with the other two kids born 9 years later .. I learned by my mistakes, and did things differently … now 15 years has passed,, and I didn’t make the same mistakes,,, but Fuck,, I made DIFFERENT mistakes,,, OMG!!…
    Do you get what I’m
    Saying?
    I realize why,,, every person is unique and different,, every person has different needs..
    YES parenting is a huge responsibility,,,but who knows what makes the perfect parent,,, there is NO SUCH THING,,,so,, I’ve come to the conclusion,, parent from my heart,, and know I will make mistakes,, and I can only do what I know ,, and I can only become a better person by learning by my mistakes..
    There’s also the parallel part about wanting my kids to admire me and think I’m
    Amazing!!,, then they become teenagers and tell you “mom you know nothing and you are RIDICULOUS!”.. haha
    Ok, whatever they are teenagers 🤪
    and I hate to use this cliche,, because I hate cliches!,,, BUT
    “It is what it is”
    lol

      The journey of every parent, if they want their children to thrive as much as possible, isn't to not make mistakes. Is to go back to them and acknowledge them for being on the receiving end of them and receive a heart felt apology. It can help heal a lot of the damage created.

    Hello, how are you? If you have a ceremony in NY, I'd love to come. I am back in Brooklyn. Also, I am headed to Peru to decide if I want to become an Expat in Trujillo or Costa Rica.

    In fact I’m going to have to watch this a few times,,, 😮… I know it wasn’t uour intention to have a viewer relates this to a nurse job in death and dying,,, but omg!!!
    My take from
    This for uou,,, “how would you know what you don’t know until
    You don’t know it? “…
    In other words,,, we learn to help
    Others better, by helping others,, and growing from the mistakes we made…and we don’t learn to help others better unless we make mistakes,,, unfortunately!!…think about it like all The medical discoveries,,, most are found by accident,, by a doctor making a mistake then a huge discovery,,, it’s sad for the ones the doctor had to learn on,,, but in the future …others benefit…
    I hope I expressed that ok…

    • @IvanChocron
      @IvanChocron  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My intention is for the viewer to get whatever they can get for themselves and learn. If it's related to a nurse job and death, I'm happy that you are taking something out of it!

    You started "serving" 9 years too early. A decade of participation with 100s of Journeys is the minimum before you facilitate. Sounds to me that you lost perspective of "living your Spirituality " and "making a living through your Spirituality". Tough thing to balance for most people....Seems that you are maturing and learned some hard lessons due to Ego. Keep at it.......

    • @IvanChocron
      @IvanChocron  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Well, I have to say that I see people who don't have a decade of experience who are serving and are miles ahead much better facilitators than some that have been serving for 20 or 30 years. Time is not the thing to consider here, it's too much of a simplistic view on a topic that has many factors. Some of the worst facilitators I've encountered have been serving for 20 years or more.

      @@IvanChocron I have been doing Psychedelics for over four decades- first 20 years was recreational then the last 20+ have been for healing and exploration of Consciousness. I ended up being a facilitator after 10 years of working with Shamans. Even got a Masters in Transpersonal Psychology because of the experiences and wrote academically about "Unity Consciousness" where people in a group setting share the same vision. My comment was not to make you defensive but to emphasize the importance of "experience" with Plant Medicines and recognize that you have matured at the 10 year point enough that you put out this video. That is why I said "keep at it". Sometimes intention gets lost with written text only. Have a Wondefilled Day Brother.

      I totally agree! There are people facilitating for many many years you can tell they haven't done the inner work/ integration. Because the true work is after the medicine and in my opinion daily committment to inner work...not just once or twice a week... I started with the medicines...done many retreats for my own healing then learning to facilitate and was holding ceremonies for a while then decided to have a break as I had found my way to continue deeper healing without. Daily work. Only now do I feel ready to actually truly be able to give my all as I don't think anyone should truly be facilitating or giving some kind of therapy if they haven't done the work themselves... practice what you preach as they say. One of the reasons I decided to take a break was because the Peruvian 'guise' I was giving ceremonies with was telling people what they needed to do when he wasn't doing that himself... like "open your heart' amongst other things. My opinion and my experiences. Thank you Nico for your knowledge and wisdom and great content. ❤
