Dark Coven Was that really necessary sir? Some people just hear lyrics differently. Since this song is on the topic of Christian rock, I thought for the longest time in the song Tonight by Toby Mac that a lyric was “locked up in hell” but it was “locked up and held”. Some people just hear one thing, no need to be an asshole about it. That was incredibly uncalled for.

Back from the days, I used to like and listen this song when I want to strengthen myself but I do not know the hidden message about it.. So I was here in front of the PC and decided to listen to this song so I could buy time. And once I saw this vid, I clicked it, listened to it, while I was listening, something caught my eye which is this comment from Tycoon Crafter, it made me curious when I saw some other replies so I decided to read it. Then I found out that the other replies were true - that Skillet was a Christian Band. After that, I listened to the whole song, (to be honest, I do not know the other lyrics that's why I searched for it..) and while I read it at the same time listening.. It made me cry. ='(
Amy Tilt if you are 8, what are you doing on TH-cam? i mean, you are 8 and the people in TH-cam aren't always friendly, but cool that TH-cam know the song. :D
You know what I love best about TH-cam not displaying comments? You don't need to hear the whiny, naggy, bitchy OTHER commenters. You can just enjoy the music.
I love this song. And you know what? I have found my hero. Myself. :) Thats who our hero is. Ourself. You know why? Because you think the thoughts in your head. People help you think them by saying rude things. But, you and only you, can stop thinking those thoughts.
People believe that in order to be a hero you need to be superhuman or have neat abilities but the truth is all you need to do is to listen to your gut instinct. If your gut tells you to do something or that something isn't right, you better listen to it because denying it is to deny yourself. Trust me you'll feel better for it.
***** Then you my friend aren't the hero but a villain. Especially if your instincts got you put in prison. lol Its okay though. You can't have heroes without a villain.
Being a Hero isn’t always about the medals you get or awards. Heroes just do the right thing no matter what. Not all heroes need a cape or a costume to be a Hero. We all have that Hero living inside of us all.
My GM uses this as the theme of one of his villains. You read right, Villain. That Villain had good intentions. He wanted to protect people, but in the process became a villain. Because of that, this song makes me think of a villain who's deluded themselves into thinking that they are righteous.
_Heroes don't live happily ever after. Real heroes live in suffering and in fear. Real heroes need to gather all their strength to live through every day and every night. They are tormented by the blood on their hands, long after it is washed away._
_But when they keep the strength to push themselves forward, to ignore the scars left on their bodies and hearts, this is what truly makes them heroes._
To tell them it is going to be alright, to tell the children they will be saved, to tell them the boogeyman is no more.
Being a hero doesn’t necessarily mean you get the good ending. It just means other people have a better chance.

God saved me from my depression. I struggled with it for 6 years and could not break through, and in one day, He showed me His love for me and took away my depression. I never imagined it could go away like that; it was definitely a miracle!

Man this song is good.
What about it is good? Lol.
b0bings0n Well, the vocals, and the guitar. Plus they are Christian.
b0bings0n What does Christian have anything to do about it?
b0bings0n They are a Christian band, so they send good messages.
b0bings0n And what if you aren't Christian?
Skillets are one of MY FAVORITE BANDS I LOVE them
my childhood song, i never forget this song :)
"I NEED A HERO!"
And I need a new computer now.
This makes me think of Jesus.....anyone else?
No. It makes me think of the potential every one has with in themselves to stand up.
tbm o/
this is made from a Christian band dude it IS about Jesus...
That Hero is Jesus
Amen to that
fuck no
I can be your hero
Not
Jesus is the hero
This song is the story of someone unknowingly becoming a hero while still wanting one to save themselves
I am an atheist but love this song anyways. My hero was my dad. Rest in peace. Nobody can or will be my hero beside him
We need more people like you, the internet can make so many dumb asses, you sir, are not one of them :D

“You either Die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain”
"It is not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."
He's not the hero we deserve but the villain we need. A dark knight always watching

I got to see this live at Winterfest just last month. It was AMAZING!
You know what I love best about TH-cam not displaying comments? You don't need to hear the whiny, naggy, bitchy OTHER commenters. You can just enjoy the music.
Trunks1stApprentice I agree ...
Our you could just not read the comments...
Trunks1stApprentice arent you the one nagging right now?
You should have not commented at all.
***** Perhaps. But I don't mind being labelled a hypocrite.
or when you get cyber bullied? i agree completely.
Dang I remember when me and my brother listened to Skillet when I was like 8
I get this weird feeling whenever the song starts. I can't describe it. It's like sadness mixed with fear mixed with anger.
Annette Hadley I hope everything works out for you man. Stay positive
I love this song. And you know what? I have found my hero. Myself. :) Thats who our hero is. Ourself. You know why? Because you think the thoughts in your head. People help you think them by saying rude things. But, you and only you, can stop thinking those thoughts.
The evil that kills other evils. Some heros are as such.
Matthew Garner itachi uchiha
+Akshu27 lol
Matthew Garner Amen man
Just look at Alucard from Hellsing. Enough said.

If you're still listening in 2022 you're a hero
How about 2024
Thank you for making NFL highlights look dope
People believe that in order to be a hero you need to be superhuman or have neat abilities but the truth is all you need to do is to listen to your gut instinct. If your gut tells you to do something or that something isn't right, you better listen to it because denying it is to deny yourself. Trust me you'll feel better for it.
Onizuma13 I am a hero everyday I eat my daily Ration of fruity pebbles, worshipping Lord cena
Nah to be superhuman u gots to have a super ability but anyone can be a hero :D
***** Then you my friend aren't the hero but a villain. Especially if your instincts got you put in prison. lol Its okay though. You can't have heroes without a villain.
***** Figured as much. haha
Awesome band I love how this band is Christian ;]
Oh my god, this song takes me back xDD
Being a Hero isn’t always about the medals you get or awards. Heroes just do the right thing no matter what. Not all heroes need a cape or a costume to be a Hero. We all have that Hero living inside of us all.
this is my song 😎😎😎😎✌✌✌
Mine to
My GM uses this as the theme of one of his villains. You read right, Villain.
That Villain had good intentions. He wanted to protect people, but in the process became a villain.
Because of that, this song makes me think of a villain who's deluded themselves into thinking that they are righteous.
Okay.... I'm SOLD.. I love it.. its positive, and it GOOD MUSIC.. other than many other rock bands... it sends out a positive message.. I LUV THEM
I believe there's a hero in all of us
Of course spiderman would say that
Except the villains
So there was a hero inside Hitler or Stalin
