Hey NME, please keep it up with RC-505 tutorials and make it a series if possible. I been wanting to get into looping (had my RC-505 for years, but can't find any good tutorials). Love it man!
Well congratulations NME you're officially the first artist I've decided to support on Patreon! Hope you never have to stop doing what you do best. Much love man :D
Really glad to see more loopstation tutorials, I feel like looping will be way more accessible once more tutorials like these are available. Loving the focus on actually making music not just how to use the device
Oh yeah NME I watched that video with Jacob Collier and it inspired me so much to level up my music! Also your track Five oh Five inspired me too, particularly with the idea of jazz trap
Cool stuff. A suggestion: for the first technique, maybe was worth mentioning putting different tracks on single play mode, so the first automatically stops when you play the second one
Hi NME! I'm writing you from Spain. I apreciate your job and I'm pretty sure that your tutorials will help lots of people like me. I'm new with the rc-505 and at this moment is very hard to find information about how to use the TrackFX to make the drop and convert your records into a new kind of sound. It could be very usefull a tutorial about It. Thank U friend! We Will be watching you! It could be great to send you songs and ask you about advices...
Keep up with that series! Its amazing. Beatbox looping is pretty hard and theres not much tutorial videos out there. Its so cool to see up close how it works from one of the best in the bussiness. :) I beatbox for about 8 years, bought rc 505 and tried it but it just overwhelmed me and i stoped. Now i will keep up with ur lessons and take another shot at this :) Big thumbs up!
Excellent. Thank you. I am not a beatboxer, nor do I currently use a looper but thinking of ways to use vocal harmony in performance. The brilliant trick of starting the vocal note before the loop record produced a much smoother and more accurate finish. The later examples, bringing the voice in while the loop was rolling, are more human sounding but with the tendency towards pitch inaccuracy and wobble. All very interesting.
I think that you were a little bit stoned at the moment where you recorded your tuto ! xD Anyway I appreciate the way you teach, keep going ! I'm hasty to watch the next episodes. It's really a good idea to make tuto about how to use loop station. All beatboxers should do the same thing. Thank you very much ! Big up from France ! ;)
Спасибо за твой труд. Играю в сетапе rc505/korg kp3/iPad Pro/ and midi. Очень полезно для начинающих.. расскажи о способах сделать басс с использованием kp3
Sometimes I record a line of voice. Maybe I triple it and make a unison tone. Then I plug in my korg kaoss pad as a midi controller. I config the 8 memorybuttons of my kaoss pad to seperate values of the a, b, c knob, and voilá I got a wave table keyboard. Imagine this loopsstation with more knobs and ways to control it. So many possibilities! Esh. I'll make you a video to show it if u want! :)
Nice tutorial my dude! The one thing I've never really figured out is how to record audio from the RC-505 directly to the computer. I've been wanting to upload loopstation videos to YT / Twitter but using a camera to record audio coming from my studio monitors is a bit janky and loses a ton of quality. Any tips on what programs to use and how to record audio without quality loss? Cheers!
can anyone tell me if there a way to record a loop but have the pad go straight back to play once one loop is recorded, without having to touch the play/rec button again? I'm new to this and have been reading the manual but can't figure it out.
akg d5 is a solid choice for budget, if you have the money to spend you could look into a dpa mic(the one used in gbb2019) or alternatively if you have time to set it up you could get an sm7b which is an all around quality microphone.
Dude, i searched for ages for actual loopstation tutorials and now BAM... NME appears and shows how its done .... Really appreciate it
I genuinely laughed at the two NMEs arguing. Keep it up, this series is amazing!

Ciao NME, sapresti indicarmi come registrare su PC quello che suono con la loop?
Can anyone help me decide what to use with an rc505 to get the best audio quality?
