Hi Kathryn, Thank you so much for these themed barre classes! I’m a 60 year old woman who takes an adult ballet class once a week at the local Y. I found myself wanting to take an extra class or 2 a week. This really fits the bill. The themed barre work makes me feel like a young girl again preparing for a recital. 😊 It’s so generous of you to offer these classes. I hope you know the positive impact you have on dancers young and old.
I cannot believe it has been one year since lockdown. I now have the habit of following daily barre with Kati’s various videos, including the early DIY piano ones. No-talking ones can function as the background music of working from home. Thank you Kati! Looking forward to this series and barre with no barre too!!
i'm so in love with these barres! Here in germany the whole dance industry is still stucked in a lockdown and all i can do is taking online classes and every dancer is getting tirend of them. You bring back the fun and the inspiration and I'm so thankful for that!

Or even more Balanchine inspired classes, like Jewels, Serenade, Apollo, Ballo Della Regina, Themes & Variations, etc. etc.?
I just recently started to take classes at 21. You have helped me so much with your videos. I am so thankful. This barre is so beautiful, the magnificent songs of swan lake and the swan steps make it so magical to follow. I felt special. Thank you so much!!!!

This was SO much fun!!! It’s very rare that recorded classes ever really get you to work on artistry, but I feel this particular video was really useful for that (or maybe it was just the music that did it for me lol) 💜💜💜
For an adult beginner on the other side of 50... who has little in the way of coordination... this certainly was a challenge!!... but I loved it and am looking forward to working on it. Thank you Katie for spending time doing these beginner classes I really appreciate it xx

I think adding the swan arms and practicing it is a great way to learn to add artistry into the work out. because all in all we are dancers and at the end of the day we will dance and artistry is the most important part I believe. So what I am trying to say is you are a genius!! It is also fun, also makes it more complicated for brain and muscles and perfect way not to forget you are training to dance! Thank you so much!
Due to the Corona situation this was the first proper ballet class I did in almost a year and I couldn't stop smiling! Thank you so much, it was awesome!

Thanks for this class. I danced my whole life and stopped after COVID hit in 2020. I've been struggling in coming back and today I found this class, and even though I am not in shape, I was able to do it, felt my muscles, sweat and enjoyed it. Keep it coming! ❤️
On my physio's orders, wearing ankle weights.... made it to 42 minutes! But my legs feel beautifully warmed up; if a bit wobbly! Will do it again tomorrow, without, and enjoy it! Thank you so much, lovely way to improve technique, very refreshingly original, very cheerful barre for UK lockdown.
I follow you for years even when i was' not dancing! Just want to say i love you so much! Now i am into home ballet after a looooooong time. (25 years :D)
I think that was the first time I smiled at out of joy doing a ballet barre! Love the focus on technique with repeating the phrase with extra swan arm challenge. So fun!

the swam hands up and down it is more difficult I ever thought!...this has been so much fun, I have to divide the time in half I do not have the strength yet to do the whole class at once, I will continue working in this class, thank you Ms. Kathyryn

This is amazing, thank you so much. I've been on a break from dance for a while but have been wanting a stress-free barre to get back into it. I always come back to your videos. I know that I'm getting a great class from a knowledgeable teacher but I also know I will feel beautiful and joyful when I take your barre. This one gave me all this feels of being a ballerina again and I just wanted to say thank you for making these videos where I can come back to dance.
Wow. I'm definitely a beginner no intermediate, and I avoided this one because the classic barre workout turned out to be above my level. I'm really glad I gave it a shot! It's got so many slow tendus which is exactly what I've been wanting to really find that balance. I only wish the no into videos had chapters as well.

You don’t have to rush. 🤍 Do as time permits. But I love the idea of having a character or theme for a class. I guess it helps with artistry, too. :)
