Is there a plugin that allows you to pull each tube off separately and flatten it so you could print it out on paper and roll it around a tube so you can cut the piece off and then have all the pipes or tubes ready to install and weld together with out a lot of re-cutting? Great video.
Yes. search extension warehouse for "unwrap and flatten faces" It has worked for me to create intersecting surfaces, like you might use in sheet metal manufacture.

Have you tried Pepakura ? ? ? , is not a plugin, is another program that can do what you've mentioned . . .
