From a fan standpoint ( non producer engineer background) this is just one of my absolute favs on this EP . No question! Much in music (out here for the listener) comes down to how it makes us feel right? That can be applied to everything from trap beats in the club, to rap , to break up ballads. It's those all powerful feelings. This one makes me feel some type of way EVERY SINGLE TIME, I think we wonder why, and there are things happening we don't realize are happening hitting us! Maybe one day there will be a Q and A, because after watching a few of these it has me wondering. If there wasn't a Pandemic, how would this normally have been produced? Would you all have been in the same room trading ideas on the spot and adjusting? Then you would have gone from there? I know that songs have been created forever, where artists have sometimes even been oceans away and never set foot in the same room, I am curious tho.
As far as the guitar solo, I think the extended version does the trick. We get the solo and we get her stunning vocals. Someone on Twitter compared it a bit to the guitar break in TLCs "Red Light Special" I get that vibe there too.
Also glad you touched on her layered vocals as well OMG I could just LIVE in what she does there, which is why I LOVE how its ends. I know you said this track is the most classic, BUT for me thats also another element that also balances the classic with the current! Looking forward to the three of you breaking this down together!

The effort that was put in this song! Oh it was so worth it! At first my favourite is Mirror and then as i keep playing the EP, this became my absolute fave! Damn, this is so good. Prior to this EP album I only have some "idea" as to how songs are written and produced. We just assumed that what we enjoyed and what blow us away didn't come with great preparation and hours of work to come up with the best sound we now enjoy. This song reminds me of old school R & B but with that guitar riffs matching Mori's vocals its out of this world! Yo Xergio, was that by any chance a Juan Valdez coffee bean? Jk, lol.
I so looked forward to more of this. This Morissette team is rewriting how these hits are introduced! Whatever that formula is you've found, it is working so well. Btw, how many great song were written and produced as good as these in the middle of this pandemic where its not possible to physically interact with each other? I don't think there's that many. You guys are breaking ground here. Please keep it up, we loved it so much.

Loving these breakdowns. I want one for every version you've worked on! The section about the B3/Leslie considerations was "chef's kiss" but I was especially impressed with how well it worked in the track. It was nice soloed, but sublime in the mix.
I love the song, but especially for the ep in the context of the other songs. It's such a cool change-up and the John Mayer reference comes through for me now. Hadn't placed that till you pointed it out.
