this lady is sooo full of herself. no one thinks we gain an hour of total sunshine, we “gain” an hour of observed sunshine in the evening. most people work 9-5 and si don’t wake up early enough for the extra morning light to be noticed, so for us we do have an extra hour of observed light. most people want permanent dst, NOT standard time

Daylight saving time doesn’t create more daylight but it does change the time on clock ( sunrise and sunset)
      As an Example
Sunset at 6pm and the clocks set back 1 hour changes to 5pm

Standard time is closest to your natural cicadian rhythm.

      Yes exactly
Without the clock change in November remains on Daylight Saving Time
On 31 December in Atlanta Georgia
      Sunrise 8:42am
      Sunset 6:38pm
Currently Clocks set back 1 hour
Sunrise and Sunset is 1 hour earlier
      Sunrise 7:42am
      Sunset 5:38pm
This is why we change the clocks in November
